TUBZ

Very disappointing and I will not shop at Tubz again. The expensive bathtub we purchased for our remodel looked fine when delivered (no scratches etc.) but our contractor noticed the air ducting was crimped 90-degrees and because of all the insulation on the tub, he could not un-crimp it. The air would not have worked if the tub had been installed as it was delivered. I immediately called Tubz and they told me there was nothing they could do & to call the manufacturer. I called the manufacturer and got nowhere -- the contractor called the manufacturer and even sent them a digital photo of the problem (which I still have) but still no resolution. Finally our wonderful contractor cut away the insulation to get to the ducting, resectioned the problem area and then re-insulated the tub prior to installation. Even before the physical problem with the product occurred, the service manager at Tubz was unresponsive and did not return my calls even when I was trying to place the order let alone after the purchase. I had to call to find out new expected delivery when my "delivery date" came & went with no calls from Tubz letting me know the product still hadn't come in. And when the tub was finally delivered, it came without the owner's manual, which the manufacturer said it should have had. The manufacturer told me to call Tubz for it -- Tubz told me it must have gotten misplaced when they checked the tub for any damage (but clearly didn't check the ducting!). They sent me a link to download and print the information myself.

One of the plumbers we obtained bids from suggested looking at Tubz. They have a huge selection of bathtubs, and customers can sit in them to try them out (children not permitted to sit in bathtubs). We looked at many bathtubs and tried them out before ordering. I liked the selection and ability to see how the tubs feel before buying. I liked the Oliveri sinks that Tubz features because those sinks come with fitted cutting boards and colanders. We liked the salesman very much.

The owner of this company is a wonderful guy. I would highly recommend him. They sell faucets, tubs, and sinks. I have dealt with this company for about twenty years. The sub-contractor for the company never showed up. The company then hired a new sub-contractor to do the job.
