This was the second time that I used them. They got the job done in about 3 hours. Everything was cleaned up really well.

Very satisfied with the professionalism and promptness. The job took exactly what was estimated, and the crew ground all of the stump and cleaned the saw dust and area up well. They provided recommendations regarding the health of my birch tree.

After receiving multiple bids I decided to go with another bidder, whose estimate was in line with TLC2's but who had all the manpower and equipment in house.

They arrived on time. The workers spoke English and did a good job. They asked me several times during the day if they were doing what I wanted them to. They cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the job. The job took longer than they thought, but they did it thoroughly and charged me what the estimate was.

Went very well, they were here when they said they would be, did a good job and cleaned up prior to leaving.

He climbed and evaluated the maple himself. He's never over-estimated or exaggerated issues with my trees - and I have a lot of trees. He's really easy to deal with. He'll work with you in an emergency, but he does have his busy season and will be booked for weeks at a time. They clean up really well. He's never left me with a crew of people who don't speak English. He and his crew do speak Spanish but he never leaves me with someone I can't communicate with which I really appreciate. He also took down my olive and a palm, has given me a load of wood chips, and cleaned up my Brazilian pepper so it's beautiful.

Gary and his crew were punctual and professional. The 2 redwoods had not been professionally serviced in 20 years and contained lots of dead limbs. They trimmed and pruned both trees to permit more light into their interior to encourage new growth. This thinning also addressed my primary concern: To reduce the potential for storm damage due to the density of the limbs. They now look much better and pose no threat in the event of high winds. TLC2 did excellent work and I'd recommend them to anyone.

TLC2 Tree Service did a great job. We will use them again. They showed up early (after calling) and worked carefully and cleanly. The trimming was done as requested and they were careful to ask me before cutting large branches to make sure they had the correct branches identified. When they were done with an area, they asked me to look it over to make sure I was happy. When searching for a service for this job, we contacted several places via email with photos and had a hard time getting people to call back. (Our first attempt to contact TLC2 failed because I got the wrong website - the guy from Connecticut just wasn't interested - similar business name.) As soon as I got the right website, http://tlc2treeservice.com/, and sent email to the correct address, Gary contacted us immediately and made and kept the first appointment. (Another company had made an appointment after several emails and phone calls, then didn't show up.) Gary's price was reasonable, so we went with him without getting another bid. I had to reschedule our original date for trimming at the last minute (only a couple of days notice). Gary was very gracious and moved us to the next available time. Gary showed up with the two workmen, introduced us and walked through the front and back discussing the plans for each tree with both me and the workmen. He stopped by during the day to make sure things were going well. The work took just over 5 hours. The workmen were very careful and artistic. I could see them thinking about which branches to trim to leave the trees looking beautiful and healthy.

He is the grandson of a guy that has been doing TLC tree work forever and ever. I thought that I had a tree that was in serious trouble and I was bracing to spend a bunch of money to do something or take it down. He saved me money by reassuring me. I had a hoot and holler just talking to him. He gets stuff done. He is a real professional and has an all English speaking crew. He is the only person that has actually showed me his insurance and business license. He says he has to carry them around so he might as well show them to me. I need to have him back. I am really a tightwad and I got my money out of him. His name is Gary.

I would recommend him. I have used him five times. He normally charges $500. He did a nice job with the shrubs. He likes to talk a lot. My neighbors initially recommended him. I am not sure what happened, but they did not ask him to come back again. He was upset about it and complained about my neighbors, which I thought was strange. He is very accommodating, though. He speaks Spanish. I will use his services again in the future.

Excellent. I would buy their wood again. It burns well and is exactly the right size. I do wish they had Oak wood also, but for what they had, it was great.

Estimate was higher than we expected, but probably in line with what others charge. Work was completed quickly and thoroughly.

I found TLC Tree service many years ago -through a friend. Gary Troublefield Sr. was the owner/operator at the time; the business is now being operated by his son Gary Jr. TLC has trimmed most of my trees at one time or another -but I always have the apricot and elm tree pruned with great results. Gary is good at listening, and offering guidance when asked. One year they also removed a metal storage shed in the yard -for a better price than others had quoted. They are a full service, family owned and operated business. I find them to be professional, fairly priced, responsible and reliable.

They did a good job. They were clean, fast, and professional. Everyone we got a quote from gave about the same price so TLC was average. They showed up when they were supposed to, they cleaned everything up, and there was nothing on the roadway when I came home. We will probably use this company again soon to trim that same tree.

Everything went fine, other than my sore muscles from stacking all that wood. grin. I would reccomend them to anyone.

When I called to make an appointment for an estimate, Gary set up the appointment for a couple of days later. He arrived on time, and gave me a very acceptable estimate, and we scheduled the work for the following week. While there, he also gave my neighbor an estimate on a tree removal and some trimming in his yard next door. On the scheduled day, Gary and his crew arrived on time, worked very quietly until after I had left for work, and did a great job. They left my backyard cleaner and tidier than when they started, taking away all of the trimmings and a lot of accumulated leaves as well. They also completed the work in my neighbor's yard. I am more than satisfied with the price and the quality of service. I'll definitely call Gary next time my trees need trimming.

Showed up on time, got organized quickly, got the work done in about 4 hours and cleaned up as promised.

We purchased a home with 15 tall trees lining the backyard and had gotten quotes to remove the trees that we thought were high and did not include stump removal. Gary at TLC responded to my call, visited our house and gave us a quote, all in less than 24 hours. He was friendly, patient and answered all my questions. His price was the same as previous quotes but he also included stump removal, so we hired him. He was available to work immediately and estimated it would take at least two days and maybe three. Within two days the trees were gone and he came back on the third day to grind the stumps. Overall, I can't complain. My only comments would be to expect a bit of mess after day one if it is a two day job and to make sure that anything that they move gets moved back. We had a few heavy objects in our backyard that they had to move before cutting the trees. They didn't move them back but when Gary came by to get the check, we mentioned that and he moved them himself immediately.

The tree service came on time, were very careful of my other plants they had a shredder and deposited of the red wood, and they hauled away the other trimmings.

I was referred by the Angies List (Thanks!). I called them and got a quick response. Estimates were done the next morning. The work was completed fast and smooth. About the price, I think it's a bit high (not very sure about it, because I did not do any price comparison with other companies).

Gary called back promptly to schedule. Both times we made appointments with several hour windows. Both times he was a no show and he did not call. Waited several hours for him. I had to call him back. He explained he was having personal difficulties but that doesn't excuse failing to call to cancel or reschedule appointments. This is very disappointing as his crew had trimmed my tree the previous year and did a nice job on it. Aside from price being a bit high, the response, efficiency, and clean up were great in 2005. Was ready to hire him again but will forego calling him in the future.

Gary came out and gave me a bid on the spot. Scheduled for later that week. They came and performed the work as expected. I would recommend this tree service.

TLC was quick to respond with a day to come by and give an estimate. Even though the estimate seemed on the high side, they were available to do the work immediately (the next work day) and had one positive review on this site, so we hired them. They showed up on time, were courteous, and seemed to be doing a fine job. When they knocked on the door and asked for payment, I saw that they were packed up and ready to leave. I asked to look at the work first. They had left a large pile of debris (wood chips) where the tree had been removed. When asked, they agreed to clean it up. After removing a large area of debris (about 2 deep, 6 feet by 8 feet wide) they again requested payment. I took a quick look and paid them. I am disappointed that they neglected to sweep up the second time around. I must point out, this is during a very hot day out but we did pay for clean up.
