Pacific Coast Termite has a great history serving California since 2007 by co-owners Dennis Wilson and James Grande. Both men agree that a large part of their companyās growth is attributed to word of mouth and referrals along with great reviews and A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau have also helped. Today the company has full in-house wood working divisions, offers comprehensive termite control, rodent control, and attic services such as attic cleaning and TAP pest control insulation to replace old soiled attic insulation.

All of the people that we dealt with were very professional and accommodating throughout the process. When we needed a follow-up appointment they did the inspection and repairs in a timely manner. The work came with two-year warranty, and yearly inspections at no additional cost. We are very happy with the process and work and would certainly recommend the company to other homeowners
Description of Work: We found termite damage when inspecting the house for winter. Pacific Coast Termite Company had a very high rating on Angieās List, so we called for an inspection. Steve Pike came to the house and did a thorough inspection, wrote his findings, and provided an appraisal. He gave us a list of the dry-wood termite damage, the locations within the house, and cost to fix the damage. The team arrived on schedule and provided orange spray treatment and Bora-Care foam to protect the treated exterior wood, the damage in the attic, and crawl space areas. They also injected insecticide into the ground around the outside foundation to protect from subterranean termites. They worked in a neat manner and cleaned up all the debris.

Pacific Coast Termite was professional from the beginning. They gave us an honest estimate with no pressure and did the work as planned. They even came back to treat our home again after we replaced our roof two weeks later. We did not have to pay extra for their second visit as we were still under warranty with them. WOW! We recommend them highly. You won't be disappointed with their service.

It went well. It took awhile for the evidence of the termites to dissipate, but after awhile, the inspector offered to go back and check. By that time, the evidence was gone. They were very responsive, especially Lauren in the office. Thanks!

The technician arrived on time and went to work using the list of areas provided to them from the whole house inspection. They vacuumed up their debris from drilling into the walls. The orange oil odor was not strong and should not bother pets and it was not necessary to leave the home. They patched the holes they drilled into the sheetrock with spackling compound, but it is up to you to paint the patches to match your existing paint. Pacific Coast Termite provides a 2 year warranty after the initial treatment. If you see any additional evidence of termites within the 2 years, they will come back at no cost and treat the area. They actually recommend that you have them back after one year to complete another inspection just to be safe. Overall, I was very happy with the service I received from Pacific Coast Termite and would use them again if necessary.
Description of Work: Pacific Coast Termite provides spot treatment of termite infestations rather than tenting of your entire house. They came out and inspected our entire house at no cost and identified multiple areas where termites were present. Their treatment process includes drilling small holes in infected wood, (through the sheetrock if necessary) and injecting orange oil and other insecticides into the wood to kill the termites. They sprayed all the exposed wood in the attic to discourage future termites. They also injected an insecticide into the soil around the house foundation to kill/prevent subterranean termites.

They arrived promptly, explained everything well and were professional, neat, careful, and educational. They treated the outside of the house, the attic and the crawlspace under the house. Because we have tomatoes they used Bora-Care instead of a less expensive chemical. Three men started the job but others joined them as they needed assistance. One of them pointed out the wall inside our sunroom, which was not slated to be treated, could possibly be infested with termites. They agreed to treat the area in the future free of charge after I have a chance to clear out the items stored there. We knew we had wood damage from the termites so we also asked for an estimate on some wood repair. The amount of wood that was to be treated for termites was reduced as we decided to remove the faceboard under the gutters so they reduced the price. As I am writing this Dan and his crew are removing the faceboard and gutters and completing some other small wood jobs around the house that we scheduled. They will replace a dog door, fix a drawer and haul away an old wooden swing set, a small gate and some other old/odd wood for us. Dan and his competent crew arrived promptly and went straight to work and I am confident that they will do a good job.

Crew came and was very professional. They found some subterreaneon termites in a different part of the house. Because of the 2 year warranty, the next treatment was free. I am building an extension and now that foundation is dug, I am calling them back to do site pre-treatment free. When the frame and roof is done, I can call them again for free. It's is a good deal.

The inspection appeared thorough. The bid was much less than one we got from Planet Orange. Two workers spent a day treating our garage attic, some of our exterior wood, some of our fencing with orange oil by drilling into the wood and forcing the chemicals into the holes. They applied a borax solution to prevent re-infestation. Around of the perimeter of the house they applied chemicals to the soil. They were courteous, worked diligently and left no mess. Of course, the proof of the quality will be whether or when the termites return.

A few months back I realized my wood deck off the back of my house was becoming infested with termites. I knew better than to let the infestation get out of control so I immediately called the guys at Pacific Coast Termite and they gave me a reasonable quote so I let them get to work ASAP. All their technicians arrived on time and they completed the work without damaging anything. 4 months later and the termites are nowhere to be seen. Thanks guys!

We found the company through Angie's list and called them. The staff was very professional and scheduled a site inspection. The inspector arived on time and perormed a thorough inspection and a report was sent later on as well as a cost estimate to perform the repirs. We agreed on the phone and scheduled the repiars. I should say that every single time the staff would arrive exactly on time which was very convenient and professional. The job was done well, on time and on budget. It was a pleasure working with this company and I would work with them again.

The initial investigator was as sharp as they come. He took the time to listen to me, explain his product (and most importantly how topical termite treatment differs from fumigation). When he understood that I was a serious, motivated buyer, he took the time to examine the house interior, exterior, crawl beneath the house and crawl though the attic - on a very hot day. He was honest, as far as I could tell, in explaining that there was only one relatively small area with termites and that it could be easily treated. Best of all, using a local treatment meant that I didn't have to vacate my house for four days which is required for fumigation. The technicians that actually applied the chemicals were punctual, professional, understood their product and process, and thoughtfully and accurately answered all of my questions. They were honest about not having a hose long enough to reach part of the attic area, and returned a few days later to properly complete the job. They could have blown off that last part of the attic and I would not have known, but instead were honest and straightforward about what was going on. Now, two months later, there have been no further signs of termites and I'm a happy camper.

The initial inspection went very well. I knew there were termites in the structure, and I had marked locations of about 80 percent of the infestation. The inspector found the other 20 percent which I agreed with. The price to treat was quoted, Angie's list coupon was presented, and revised price was put into contract with a 10% down payment required. Inspector was on time, and friendly and knowledgeable. The day of the treatment the guys were on time, very friendly and informative. They knew their jobs and performed them, with frequent questions from myself. They were busy during their entire time on the property. They were however a bit sloppy in the administering of wood filler to their drilled holes, and left the dropped material where it fell. No repair of damaged material was performed nor was it quoted. Looking at the paperwork the following day, I noted that the completion notice said that no work was completed. Since their was no sale of the property this was not important, however I wanted it completed properly, as it is a filed document with the pest control board. I called them again, and made the mistake known, and was promised it would be fixed and sent to me soon. Two plus weeks later, after not yet receiving it, I called again. I was told the techs aren't in the office daily, but with over two weeks delay in getting the paperwork, I was not happy and let them know that. I finally got the corrected paperwork via email a couple days later. The workers were all cordial and knowledgeable, proficient at their task etc. To me, the quality of a company is how they handle their mistakes, as they happen to all companies, and I feel this company could have a done a much better job in their response. When you pay a premium price, you expect premium service, and I didn't get it.
Description of Work: This was treatment for both dry wood termites and subterranean termites. It included spraying in the attic and under the house, as well as foundation spraying where accessible. It also included drilling of holes in areas where dry wood termites were identified, and the injection of orange oil.

It went great. They are great about returning call, scheduling appointments and they are responsive to my questions. Communication was great. Client service was great. They are very professional and capable at what they do. They did pest control. They came out and discovered a lot of water underneath the house that the inspector had already mentioned. They looked around and tested a couple of things to make sure. It turns out there was a pipe that was broken and leaking from the kitchen. It was great that they cared to look further for the root cause. It turns out we had to get the pipe replaced by a plumber. We will have them come back out. They went above and beyond. We were surprised that they bothered to check. Once the moisture is reduced under the house, that will reduce the amount of Beetles. Beetles like moisture. This is a prevention measure. We were very happy with their service and the cost estimation. They gave me an estimation based on the report from the inspectors.
Description of Work: I used Pacific Coast Termite Inc for pest control in mid July. He did not do a fumigation as it was not termites. We had a beetle issue. They do wood treatment. They use a combination of treatments. It was extensive work. They will return to install a sub pump.

The people who we interacted with at Pacific Coast and Termite were very quite professional and friendly. The inspector gave us a thorough report and the people who actually did the work got it done quickly. They came out and drilled holes and injected termicide into the ground around our house. Since we are doing this as a preventative measure I can't really say if the treatment actually worked or not at this time.

Only problem was fairly major... inspector didn't include taking out and replacing insulation under the house. Workman recommended this since insulation was covering up wood that needed to be treated for termites. So the price increased $2400 from original estimate. In addition, despite rat/mice droppings in both attic and subarea, the original inspector did not recommend rat/mice treatment which cost an additional $750. They came of many days/weeks to provide all services but usually sent a new crew rather than people who were familiar with the job. However, everyone who came was very professional, did a great job, and we feel very good about the work that was completed.

About 6 years ago we had localized treatment for termites, now about 5 feet from this treated area we found evidence of termite activity. We suspect the original treatment did not eradicate the original infestation. Ryan was prompt and courteous. We showed him where we found evidence of termites. He performed a termite inspection, walking through our home, checking entry points in the garage, inspecting the crawl space, and checking the rafters near the wall where the termites were located. He did not check the attic and did not check any other rafters. He only speculated that the termites were getting into the home through the bottom edge of the window frame since it did not have obvious caulking. He recommended that we caulk the bottom of the window. (We are skeptical of Ryan's assessment as to the entry point and 2 other termite inspectors have opined that his assessment is incorrect. The visible termite activity is located about 5 feet from the window in question and previous termite activity was noted 10 feet from that window. We have 13 windows and the external caulking is visible only on the top and sides of all the windows. We believe the windows are sealed where they are inserted in the opening for the window and that it is a common practice to add additional caulking to keep out the rain only on the top and sides of the window. ) Pacific coast does not offer local treatment. They only offer whole house treatment. They confirm the extent of infected studs in the area of visible termite activity with fiber optic cameras inserted into the wall space, treat the affected studs with orange oil, then treat all exposed wood with boric acid (Tim-BorĀ®). They will also come back and retreat the wood if you remodel and in the process more of the wood is exposed. Price quote was provided at the end of the inspection. Quote : $1500. They have a 2 year warranty. But do not re-inspect the home unless requested. We probably won't use this provider for a few reasons. 1. Our county Agriculture Commissioner's Office has reported more repeat treatments with methods such as orange oil compared to chemical treatment with fipronil (TermadorĀ®) or fumigation, 2. The cost is the highest bid received. 3. In our research on the company we have found mixed reviews, 4. According to the Structural Pest Control Board the company has been licensed since 2007. We realize this an off shot of another family member's company based in southern CA, but we are hesitant to spend so much with a company with a limited track record. 5. Of the 3 companies that inspected our home, Ryan seemed to be the least experienced and least thorough. Though since they treat the entire house it probably doesn't matter if they have inexperienced inspectors. 6. From our experience and what we have learned on-line it seems it more often takes 3 to 6 years to see evidence of termite activity if the infestation has not been eradicated. We feel the 2 year warranty is not long enough to help if the termites have not been eradicated.
Description of Work: Provided free termite inspection.
