A wall unit full of electrical equipment in our main room suddenly stopped working - a day before house guests were due to arrive. After dismantling all equipment, and emptying clothing and cabinet contents all over the room, we pulled it out from the wall and discovered a dead outlet. At 4:24 pm we called Cross Electrical. Kathy answered, heard my frustration and panic, and offered to see how close Doug might be to our house on his way home. 10 minutes later, he arrived. Professional, friendly, sweet, CALMING. He had the problem diagnosed within 5 minutes, and fixed a culprit switch so it wouldn't happen again. It will be hours before the room is restored to normal and the equipment re-connected (Oh Lord). But we will be able to have it done now, before anyone arrives. Thanks to Kathy and Doug. I will be forever grateful - we have an electrician for life now! I can see why they have such stellar reviews - they certainly deserve it.

I reviewed contractors on Angies List as well as the Better Business Bureau website. I wanted to use a local company and called several then Cross Electrical. Doug's office ( I think it was his wife) answered the phone immediately as I started to leave a message. We talked about a rough estimate for the project and set up and appointment. Doug came out and provided an estimate. I called his office to make an appointment. On the day of the appointment, Doug who was scheduled to do the work, had to deal with an urgent electrical problem at a local school and called me to say he would be delayed and explained why. His office also called me and provided updates and expected new time for arrival which I really appreciated. Doug called and explained that the problem he was dealing with was taking more time than expected so asked if he could send another of his crew out to my home to do my project. The crew that arrived was professional, worked quickly and efficiently and completed the project as needed. I even received a discount.

I contacted Cross 6/1 regarding changing my current lights with plug in LED Shop Lights purchased from Costco. They set up an appointment to view the job, arrived at the agreed time, and sent an estimate as promised. No hassles. When I changed one aspect of the estimate bid they immediately sent out an undated one. They were extremely prompt, friendly, professional, and very easy to work with. They are straightforward and honest to boot! They cleaned up their work nicely and finished the entire job in about 3 hours.

Received wrong quotes from other electricians but this provider came in and identified the problem and it wasn't as costly as the others had stated.

Doug's brother did most of the work along with Doug's nephew but Doug came by and worked a portion of the time even though it was the day after Christmas. They showed up on time, were very easy to work with, and had it done in the early afternoon when they promised it. I called a few places to get quotes and their price for the subpanel upgrade was very competitive.They are a very friendly bunch of guys and they answered all my questions. The inspection passed with no problems! Cathy in the main office was very, very helpful and knowledgeable!

Requested quote through Angie's List today (9/26) and received quick email response from Cathleen. Doug came out between jobs for a quick look and found the problem right away. A breaker was tripped, but it was hidden from view. He unscrewed the panel and flipped the switch. All of the lights and outlets that were on the same circuit and disabled are now working. Had we known what to look for and do, we could have saved ourselves the money. However, I consider this money well-spent and a learning experience on late 60's era breaker boxes.

He put in a dedicated circuit for the heater downstairs and for the lights outside in the holiday time.

I got them off Angie's List. I was very pleased with the results. They came out to my house for an estimate and had an immediate response. I had called other companies from Angie's List. I left messages on their machine and one never responded and other one waited for a day. Their answering machine picked right up and started the ball rolling. I have no complaints and I would use them again.

Contacted Cross Electric after they did work for a family member, who was pleased. They were punctual, polite, clean and very eager to do what I asked. Work went well, including my request for a permit.

Mr. Doug and his Brother were so professional and helpful on my small project. They arrived early and stayed until the work was finished; offering to clean up the entire workspace (including the areas in which I was working!) They installed wiring for my HD Plasma TV that is mounted above the Fireplace. The wiring is unseen and is AWESOME!!! I am always asked who performed the work as well as plenty of compliments!! I also needed some extra cables for the TV. After I picked up wrong supplies, Mr. Doug went to the store, returned my items and picked up the correct ones; for which he did not charge me extra!!! They also moved light switch power from one wall to another - for an accent light that was they also installed. The Cross brothers and Ms. Cathy (Doug's wife) went above and beyond from estimate to completion. The price is reasonable and the work is outstanding! I could not have asked for a better electrician!!!

From start to finish, they were a joy to work with. They came on time, were thorough and clean.

They are fantastic and Doug is awesome. I paid between 300 and 500 dollars on the last job. All I know is that he is one of the few contractors that shows up on time and sticks to his quote. I had a little problem with the equipment and he hooked it back up, but it wasn’t his fault and was the equipment peoples fault, but he came out on a Saturday within 20 minutes of me calling. His wasn’t his responsibility, but he took responsibility and told me what to tell the pool people and he is great. I waited a long time to get him to come out the second time because he did such a good job the first time. He is in high demand and he does not do advertising and it is all word of mouth and his wife Kathy helps him out and they are both just very pleasant people to deal with. They don’t break their word and do what they say they are going to. Their price was competitive, but it is not necessarily the price but how they approach the job and their business. I would have paid him more if he wanted more, just because I trust him.

Prompt and courteous. Doug had to return on another day to complete work and had no problem adjusting his schedule to accommodate my needs. Doug's work had nothing to do with not being able to compete service during original scheduled appointment. My equipment was the issue.
