I'm not happy with them. We had been with them for about 10 to 15 years. A thief broke into the house and ripped out the control panel. I had to replace the control panel at that point but instead of giving me a state of the art control panel, they just gave me another like the old one which did not have smartphone capabilities. There were problems with false alarms especially in Fresno. When these false alarms occurred, the house was vacant then so there was nobody to punch the code in the panel to cancel it. I would call ADT to tell them the alarms went off and they would tell me that it would stop after a few minutes as well as reset. It never did stop or reset and they didn't provide anyway over phone lines to do that. That's why I had to do a switch to another company. I didn't see any reason why they had to be so stingy with their equipment yet we had been loyal customers for years and years. I wasn't happy with the company I had switched to so when I asked ADT to provide an estimate to reinstall their systems, they quoted me for $2,000 for the house in Redwood City. It's not like they are commercial. I think any house over 1,300 square feet should have two smoke detectors and two carbon monoxide detectors but they wanted to charge me $2,500 dollars for all the extra equipment. Their cost for re-installment was enormous and I told them I wasn't going to do the re-installment until their cost went down.

It is a franchise. We had contact with them once we had a demonstration and then the installation. They have done a lot for us. There was no cost at that point, it was a discussion. They were very good at installation and they came in to put a wireless camera. They corrected the problem. They are very good and thorough. The pricing is good, we have a monthly fee and it is done automatically. There is no extra charge. We have an on going contract with them.

The work was fine.

Once again, ADT Pulse has just failed to show up. Every few months my system stops working, and ADT shedules somebody to come out days or weeks later. And, as usual, nobody calls and nobody shows up. When I called today to inquire, they informed me that the technicial "called in sick this morning." There is always an excuse.

Well, at the moment, we are working and look someone who is coming up with alarm security system, ADT. We are currently working with them right now. Since we are right in the middle of it, I cannot give you a really accurate view until you make few months done align and see how everything works. Right now, the people are nice, he has come back a number of times checking with us because there has been an increase of robberies in our neighborhood. It makes us having him come back and check which this has made us be a little more careful around the house even you missed your things, you lock in or going out for a short time. It is very short, they have not had work with it.

Parts of upgrading was easy, and parts was a nightmare. I had trouble getting someone out to upgrade my thermostat. I had to go to the ADT's corporate office and complain. One morning I had a regional rep on the front porc,h a tech, the electrician, and corporate on the phone all at the same time. It was a comedy of errors! With the problems, I was supposed to get 6 mos free service, and I just got a bill!

I have been an ADT customer for over 20 years and they get worse every year. If I could afford to replace my system I would in a heartbeat. They made THREE appointments which they did not show up for because the tech was "running late.". I finally complained to the corporate office back east, and they made a Saturday appointment so I wouldn't miss any more work. They then had the utter nerve to call, say the tech couldn't make it yet again, but would come if I paid TWO HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS!!! After calling the following. Monday, I finally got the customer service manager, who finally got a tech to my house. Bottom line, their commercials look great, but their service is terrible. Don't bother.

The company contacts you and they have very aggressive sales techniques. The sales that they are advertising are just base prices and that will add on pricing. I would talk to one person one day and then they would call me the next. I did not go with them because of this.

He was competent and I also liked his personality; he came on very clear in explaining to me how the system works and how to work with it, which I really appreciated. He was terrific.

They are great, its all good. I will use them in the future.

I would recommend them to others. They seem okay. ADT is a national company where they make the equipment and what not. I think the local vendor came out and I don't recall who the local vendor was. I've had a few questions and interactions with them. If I forget my alarm and it goes off, they would call me on the phone and ask me if everything is okay. They've been responsive and have answered my questions. The only thing that hasn't happened is that I haven't actually had an alarm when we are not home and when the police had to be called or anything like that. I don't know how all that works because it hasn't really happened. I've had no complaints at all. Everything has been good. The communication that I've had with them has worked out well.

I've enjoyed the service I've had from them, they have good service. It functions well and they are very prompt to respond. They seem to be very reliable and that's what you're after.

I interviewed 2 other alarm companies, one of which we had used in our previous house in another city. In comparison, Brinks is far better. Brinks was utterly professional from beginning to end. They seem to hire nice, smart, responsible people. During the installation, the team was wonderful--extremely competent, cheerful and efficient. They brought the right number of people to get the job done in one day. The monitoring service so far has also been excellent as we have had false alarms and have had to call them occasionally for vacation stops, etc.

I have never had any problems with them. When the alarm goes off, they pretty much call immediately to ask me for my code. I am planning on continuing my service with them. I think the price is good as well. When I started with them I used a coupon that saved me $5.00 per month for the service.

We got a free system and they came out and hooked up the system and did all the wiring. If something happens even if we're away, they call us right away. They have my home phone number and my cell phone number and if we're out of town we have no worries. They charge thirty dollars a month for all that service.

THE ALARM INSTALLATION WENT FINE, BUT IT TOOK AWHILE FOR THEM TO GET IT FINISHED. THEY GAVE ME A REALLY BIG SIGN FOR THE FRONT DOOR AND I REALLY LIKE THAT. IT'S VERY VISIBLE.

A security system was installed in our home then got disconnected because we had a delinquent payment history. However, we quit paying because the system failed. The wires were not enclosed inside the house and people broke in. We tried to get them to come fix it and they never did. We were not going to pay until they came, so it ended up being disconnected. I would not use them again.

ADT installed a top-level alarm system in our residence. This system notifies ADT in case of break in, who then automatically notifies the police. The installer was patient in explaining how the system worked, and how to avoid false alarms. It took three installers and they cleaned up really well. I thought they were professional and did a good job.

THE COMPANY SERVICE MEN WERE VERY PUNCTUAL AND WERE VERY POLITE. THEY DID A GREAT JOB AND MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS IN A VERY SAFE LOCATION. THE PRICE WAS GOOD.

SALES ASSOCIATE ARRIVED PROMPTLY AS SCHEDULED. WE WALKED THRU HOUSE IDENTIFYING AREAS WHERE AN ALARM WOULD BE BENEFICIAL AND WHICH TYPE OF COMPONENTS (MOTION SENSITIVE, CIRCUIT ACTIVATED) TO PROPERLY MONITOR FOR UNWANTED INTRUSION. INSTALLER ARRIVED AS SCHEDULED, UTILIZING MANY CIRCUIT SENSORS AS POSSIBLE. SEVERAL WIRELESS SENSORS WERE STRATEGICALLY PLACED. INSTALLER THEN WORKED WITH ME ON WHAT TYPE OF ALARM RESPONSE I WANTED (SILENT VS. BELL). INSTALLER WAS UNABLE TO COMPLETE THE JOB THE FIRST DAY DUE TO COMPLICATIONS WITH EXISTING SYSTEM AND RETURNED THE NEXT DAY (A SUNDAY) TO COMPLETE THE JOB. EVERYONE I DEALT WITH WAS VERY FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS.
