The tech arrived on time and proceeded to locate the leak by opening up the wall inside a cabinet in a utility room that backed up to the master bathroom. Travis removed a section of 1/2" copper pipe and replaced with a new pipe and 1/4 turn shut-off valve. The work was done in a timely and professional manner. After observing his work, I asked if he could replace the old valves and supply lines that service a sink in the utility room. After quoting a price, we asked him to proceed with the added work and he was able to complete it on the same service call. Repair of the hole in the wall was not included in their work. We were informed that they did not do wall repairs before any work was started.

The young man didn't try to sell me any unnecessary services, gave me the discount advertised for Angie's list members., did his work and was on his way.

Travis (the plumber) was great. He knew what he was doing and very pleasant. My husband and I will definitely rehire him.

It went very well. The water heater had a slight leak all weekend which we caught in a pan. I thought I might install the valve myself but my wife reminded me that they had installed it and it was under warranty. I called early Monday morning, and she (sorry I forgot her name, but she was very pleasant) said she could have a plumber onsite that day between 2-6 pm. I was very happy. Josh called a short while before he got to our house and was very pleasant. We had a short discussion about the the pressure and possible heat expansion that happens with hot water heaters. He admitted the Jerry their head or master plumber, (who by the way had installed the hot water heater and was absolutely fantastic, but I forgot his name after he left and only had his tech # on the paperwork) was considerably more knowledgeable about installing heat expansion tanks and such. After testing and retesting, we found the inbound water pressure to be good, the hot water heater expansion was correct, and a new TPR valve was replaced and no more leaks have since been detected. HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!!!! Just a note for the work they did in March of 2014 installing the hot water heater. The original dispatcher to have my hot water heater was James and he was great. I called late on a Friday night, got a early a.m call the following Saturday morning. He couldn't get anyone out that day with a new replacement water heater but if I could go purchase one from a plumbing supply house, he could have plumber (Jerry) at our house that afternoon late to install it. He told me exactly where to go and how much it would be from them and to call him once I had it. Since I told him that I had a full size pickup truck, that wasn't an issue so I immediately took off and called him about an hour later. Jerry showed up late that afternoon and everything went smoothly (it took about an hour or so of time) and I even was able to get an Angies List member discount as well. James had been honest about the cost, and what Sunday pricing is for plumbers and such. And of course we didn't want to spend a ton of money, and didn't want to wait two more days for hot water. Coast Plumbing Heating & Air Inc, is a company that we will definitely use again and again. Kudos to the whole team there......James, Jerry, Josh and the young lady that was also the dispatcher on the June 30, 2014. We like your work... :)

Repair man (Danny) arrived at the scheduled time. Removal was very difficult, but was done as quickly and professionally as possible. Install was done with no hiccups.

They were excellent and did a great job. They gave us a discount. I bought the water heater and they installed. I called them Saturday evening and they came out Sunday around noon. They were here when they said they would be. I would use them again.

I called Coast Plumbing for a 2nd opinion on a leaking drainpipe. The leak was pretty severe as it was leaking from my 2nd floor bathroom sink on to my kitchen ceiling and water was actually pouring out of the recessed lighting in the ceiling. Mike Karjala showed up on time and was extremely professional and friendly. He found the leak pretty quickly by using a video camera that he put down into the wall. He showed me through the camera what he saw. Mike explained exactly what he would do to complete the repair. His quote for the repair was reasonable, so I had him get started immediately. To repair the leak it was necessary to cut through the kitchen ceiling. He cut the smallest hole possible in an effort to do the least damage. The hole that he cut in the ceiling was so small that it was a lot of effort for him to squeeze through it (and he?s NOT a big guy) to do the work, but he managed to get it done. He stopped the leak! After he was done, he cleaned up all the dust and debris from the drywall and even cleaned the sink and wiped down my cabinets and counter ? he left it cleaner than it was before he arrived! If I ever have another plumbing issue (hopefully I won?t), I won?t hesitate to call him.

We were not happy with them at all. They were incompetent. They couldn’t install a kitchen faucet. They overcharged us for the little work they did do. Unfortunately, I wasn’t here, my wife was here alone and that could be the reason why he jacked up the price. Those guys were deadbeats. They were able to install the bathroom faucet all right. We bought a new gas cook top, they couldn’t figure that out, and they wanted to charge us $380 just to install the cook top. The other plumbing company I used had already run the gas line, so it would have been a simple matter of connecting the hose and tightening it down. I could have done I myself but they wanted $380 on that one. We wanted them to install a faucet in the new kitchen sink. We had new granite counter tops and the holes were drilled for the faucets but the guy told my wife that he couldn’t fit the faucets into the holes, that there was an obstruction of some sort. I tried it out when I got home and there were no obstructions and the faucets fit in the holes fine. We wound up having the other plumbing company do the work and they did it in fifteen minutes, no problems, no moaning or groaning. From what my wife told me, the guy was not very responsive, he just kept complaining that the work was going to be more complicated or costly and he didn’t want to hear anything about it should have been a simple fix.

The work went quick and very well. John was very personable and professional. Work also done very neatly. No mess left behind. Drains are working great now. And true to their advertisement-$75 for the drains to be snaked and no service charge. Will definately use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Called company to put in a service call and was told upfront about the leak detection fee, to be applied to cost of the repair. In a short time frame, received call that the technician was on the way. Eric did a great job and patiently answered all of my questions. Leak was in the slab some so it had to be chiseled out a bit to fix the leak. Once the source of the leak was determined, the repair was done quickly. Happy with the service and plan on using them again.

I found Coast in the phone book and they happened to be the first plumbing company I called to get an estimate from. The technician was punctual and presented himself in a professional manner. He was also neatly groomed, wearing a company uniform. Although I had not actually seen the leak myself, another technician from an exterminator company alerted me to it when he crawled under the house and happened to see the leak as he was doing an inspection for termites. The Coast technician gave me an estimate to install about 30 feet of liner, do a 2-way ABS clean out with vaults, pull proper permits from the city, back-fill the area with native soil, repoor a concrete patch, and tie up to 5 drains and vents. The technician mentioned that the metal pipes under the house become corroded (after years of age) and are susceptible to easy damage when doing repairs. So his recommendation was to have a high-tech resin pumped into the pipes below the house which would coat the inside of the pipes, harden, and restore their strength and durability (the liner has a "lifetime" warranty of 50 years). I found the technician to be very knowledgeable as well as convincing. However, even though the technician was able to arrive at the aforementioned, detailed estimate, he never went under the house through the crawl space to inspect the leaking main drain nor did he insert a camera or other such device to look at the leaking pipe.

Responded quickly to call. Performed the task fine. Charged about twice the going rate and failed to cooperate with the insurance company's request for information. After this review we were contacted by the company and given a partial refund which we appreciate.

Eric did a great job - due to the amount of buildup in the water heater he had to flush the tank about a dozen times. As a result a 2 hour job turned into a 4 hour job for him, but the end price was the same. Water heater works great now. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Our washing machine was flooding the garage once it reached the drain cycle. We tried to fix it ourselves but had to give up. I called around and was getting some high quotes for coming out to clear the washing machine drain ($185-250). I called Coast Plumbing and they said it would be $75 to come and clear that kind of drain. We set up an appointment for that day. They called 20 min before arrival and got straight to work. The plumber explained what the problem probably was and then started snaking the pipe. It took two goes, about 30-45 min. They also applied an Angie's List coupon so it ended up being $67 bucks. They also gave a one year warranty, which gives a certain peace of mind. I was happy with there work and would use them again.

Came out on a weekend to unclog a kitchen drain.

We called Coast plumbing around 10am on the morning the leak was discovered. The appointment scheduler was very professional and polite. She scheduled a plumber to come to our home between 2pm and 5pm. The dispatcher called around 4:15pm to let us know the plumber was on his way. The plumber arrived within the scheduled window. He examined the water intrusion and confirmed my suspicion that it was most likely the master bathroom shower drain. He performed a leak inspection ($199.00) by cutting into the downstairs ceiling dry-wall (below the upstairs shower). He performed a thorough inspection of the drain and determined it was the cause of the leak. He provided a verbal estimate, which I accepted, and called the office and scheduled a follow-up appointment for the next morning to replace the drain between the hours of 10 and 2. The dispatcher called just after 10am to tell us the plumber was on his way. He arrived around 11am and went straight to work. He provided a written estimate, which was the same as the night before, before starting the work. The Coast Plumbing team member I interacted with were extremely professional. Josh, the plumber, kept us informed during his repair. He was honest, worked cleanly, and completed the repair (including clean-up) in 2.5 hrs. The total cost of the repair, including the leak detection, was $475.00. I will definitely use Coast Plumbing again.

Very professional, came same day and arrived within estimated window. They called when they were on their way and Danny, who did the service was helpful on the phone and contentious. I'll be using them again in the future.

Coast Plumbing and Heating did a great job and at reasonable prices. I had several items around the house that needed to be completed including leaking faucets, reset a toilet and shim it, opening a wall and repairing a leaking rough plumbing line, checking the pressure regulator and resetting it, shower diverter. They came the same day I called them and the technician was knowledgeable and professional. I will call them again.

Eric was friendly and professional, and did a fantastic job. When he encountered a few pipe issues under the kitchen sink that needed to be addressed in addition to the clogged drain, he explained (and showed) them to me and answered all my questions, of which I had quite a few. He finished the job in in a timely fashion and with spotless cleanup. We will definitely use Coast for future service, and recommend them highly to others!

Chris did an excellent job! The finished work looks very neat and functions perfectly. Chris mounted the faucet so that it is centered just right. I had hoped that choosing a company with excellent reviews would net a good outcome, and I was not disappointed. Of utmost importance to me was that in the process of completing this job, that the finish on my new faucet, air gap, kitchen cabinets, countertops, sink, and flooring remain unmarred. I practically held my breath waiting for the outcome. Chris completed the work in a very conscientious manner and was very polite and respectful of me and my home. As I am still in the midst of a remodel that has gone terribly awry, I relish the things that have gone well, and the lovely job that Chris did is something that makes me happy every day. I will add that the initial plumber that Coast sent was a smoker and that the scent of cigarette smoke was heavily present with him -- causing my home and the things he touched to smell the same. Further, although he was polite, we didn't seem to communicate well. I called Coast and they took addressed my concerns in an understanding and professional manner. They sent Chris and another gentleman (Mike) out within minutes. My apprehensions were put to rest by the care that Coast took to address my concerns and service my plumbing needs exceptionally well. Kudos!

Called in the morning to have a water heater replaced and Travis showed up within an hour, gave an estimate, and began work. The installation was done quickly and neatly. Very professional.
