We had just remodeled our bathroom and needed an estimate on a shower door. I went to Redwood Glass first as they are the closest to us. I gave careful consideration to several samples of glass and finally picked one and got the estimate from Redwood Glass. As a careful shopper, I also called Coastal Glass and Eureka Glass. Both gave me lower quotes than Redwood Glass but said that they could not get the specific style of glass that I had picked. I spoke with Ross, the owner of RG, and he assured me that the glass was available. He actually chastised me for checking with other companies - how was I supposed to know that they all use the same supplier? That being the case, I suspected that he would not be able to get the glass that I had chosen either, but he assured me otherwise. We signed a contract only to be told five days later that, surprise!, he could not get the glass after all. Since his quote was considerably higher than the other companies' , I ended up using Coastal Glass (with great satisfaction) for the project. Sometime later I stopped by the shop to get a product that Redwood Glass promotes for use on shower doors, but they were out of it. Ross called the next day and left a message that he was ordering the product and should receive it the next week. Since I had not heard back from them after about 10 days I stopped by the shop in case they had lost my number or such. Rather than apologizing for the delay, Ross seemed annoyed that I was checking up on them and stated flatly that he had my number and would call me when the product came in within the next couple of days. I gave him another week before ordering the product online. He never did call me, and that's fine because I am no longer a customer. Give Coastal Glass a call, they will treat you Much better.
