I do residential and commercial work, which include remodels, additions, and some tenant improvements. Usually I work alone, but have helpers on call when needed. Licensed, insured, and bonded. Waiting for your calls, thank you!
10/2/17 Project completion My earlier review of Calderon Electric (Danny) was written during the beginning of the project that started several months ago and I always intended to write a new one once we were completed. I am so happy and relieved that I chose to go with Danny with Calderon Electric for many reasons. It’s important to for the reader to know and understand that I had called at least 7 electricians and was able to get 3 quotes. I was fed up with calling contractors who say they will show up or will call you back but don’t. I was ready to sign someone up even though I had reservations about doing so. This was just to get the job going but, my gut was telling me to keep trying. It had everything to do with which contractor I could trust and feel comfortable with regards to being honest, fair and reasonable. Of course, the proposal and their ability to do the work mattered greatly otherwise, it made no sense to be talking to them in the first place. But, what truly matters is what happens after you get the proposal and you sign the contract. This is where most customers get blindsided! When you’re trying to tackle a full house remodel of a 1910 built home, you have to assume there are going to be surprises and many unforeseen things. As the homeowner, you can only see so much but, to a dishonest contractor, they may be looking for change order opportunities. This is the main reason why I focus on the character of the individual contractor and the company. Any contractor who doesn’t want to be honest and transparent is not a contractor you want working in your home or business. So, I called 2 additional electricians. I reached out to Danny and another company. Both called me right back but, only Danny showed up. The other electrician appeared to be very interested but never followed up after our initial conversation. Anyway, Danny came by and did a walk through with me while reviewing the plans. Sent me a quote within 1-2 days and because I felt he was the person to go with, I signed the contract and we got started immediately. What made me decide to move forward with Danny wasn’t just his competitive price and ability to start quickly, it was more about his character. I had no red flags like I did with the other contractors and my gut was telling he was the right person for the job. I was able to get a good feel for his character from some of the questions I asked him and from there we started the project. Now that we are at the very end of the project, I can finish my review which he very much deserves. He didn’t ask me to write this review but, he certainly deserves it!! Were there changes and additions, yes. Some were owner driven and some were surprises when walls were opened. Not once did I feel Danny tried to take advantage of these situations. I have 2 other homes in the area and one of those is a 1914 built home and I already told Danny I want him to do the electrical work and rewiring of it. I truly hope to continue this partnership or business relationship with Danny because it’s not too often to find someone who is very honest, fair and reasonable.

It's still going as of today 7.19.17 and Danny is doing a great job. He's very honest, fair, and does great work. I am very involved in the project and quite inquisitive and Danny has been a trooper to work with. I totally understand not too many customers get involved to the level I do and he has not expressed or displayed any issues or impatience with me.
