The work went well. Nathan explained the work that would have to be done, especially the masking, etc. necessary to spray the popcorn ceilings. He anticipated 2-3 days for the job and it took 3 days. The workmen were careful. Overall, they did a job that me expectations and more.

Provider is busy so it took some time to schedule service. When time came to do the work the provider was a bit late getting to my home however made up for it by doing a good job. Workers were friendly and courteous. They also appeared to be very competent and did a great job.

Nathan's crew is professional. They show up on time. They are very proficient in painting. The quality is very good. And they clean up amazingly thoroughly. I've had 2 different guys paint small jobs in a 1-year span. Both are a little hesitant in their English but are very polite. I certainly would recommend Nathan's service.

Overall, our experience with Top Quality Painting was satisfactory. Nathan is a nice guy and very personable. The estimate was thorough and overall the paint job was very good at a reasonable price. George and the crew worked very hard, which was much appreciated. We did have one minor follow-up issue that took months to address, but ultimately the issue was resolved. I did appreciate Nathan acknowledging the unreasonable length of time it took him to finally resolve the issue, which he said won't be repeated in the future. This was good to hear because minor follow-up issues that can and should be easily resolved should not overshadow an otherwise good job. Putting the above issue aside, I would recommend Nathan and his team if you are in need of a quality paint job at a reasonable price because ultimately these are the two factors that matter the most.

The crew at Top Quality showed attention to detail on this difficult northern exposure surface - the climate here varies from snowy icy cold in the winter to blistering heat in the summer, so proper prep and finishing of the surface are critical. Very nice job, and price was affordable. I have used Top Quality in the past, and would definitely use them again.

I have to start by saying I never write reviews, but I am so pleased with the work that Nathan and his crew did that I felt the need to share my experience. This is my second time using Top Quality Paint because I was so impressed the first time that I didn't think twice about contacting them again for my next job. For this time, Nathan and his worker (sorry I can't remember his name), did an amazing job. The attention to detail is to be commended. I've used another provider from Angie list in the past, but was not all impressed. They had to come back to fix mistakes made the first time around, but not Nathan. The paint is perfect the first time! Awesome! Although punctuality is not Nathan's strongest quality, at least he calls to say he is running late. Life happens to all of us, so I don't hold that against him due to his professionalism and impeccable attention to detail. My advise is to allow for a little flexibility. He will be worth the wait. I highly recommend Top Quality Painting!

The provider did come out for an estimate rather quickly and the folks were very nice. We originally contacted them in early September and they said it would most likely be November before the work could be done. They said they would send an estimate for the extra expense as our two story house was bigger than the advertised special. We did not get an estimate after several attempts, We also did not hear from them in November In January I contacted them again my e-mail and still no response, Finally we did get an estimate in March and it was over 3 times what the originally deal was advertised for. We were able to find another company to do the same work Including paint for less than half their estimate. It felt a bit like a bate and switch. I want to be fair and note that they did say they had sent the estimate and it may have gone to my junk folder. I would have still expected some follow up, as it is it's 8 month later and the house is not done.
Description of Work: The provider did come in and paint two interior rooms completely separate from the deal in a timely maker and the work was excellent and the job done quickly and at a very reasonable price. Then the exterior was to be done by November, as of March we still did not have an estimate. When it came in finally it was much higher than expected. We did not choose to proceed. We found another vender to do the work at a much lower cost including all the same details and including paint. Less than half. When I talked to the people they said they had sent an estimate. I want to be fair and note that they did say they had sent the estimate and it may have gone to my junk folder. I would have still expected some follow up, as it is it's 8 month later and the house is not done.

Top Quality overall did a good job. Mr. Domeier is a young and energetic proprietor. He help my wife and I pick a great color scheme and topped it off with a third color (RED) for our front door and accents. His pricing was good and he offered a better warranty than his competitors. I like this company and may recommend them to others but here's the problem. Like other painters I have dealt with in the pass they don't come back. If there's any small problem or defect with the job I hope you find it before you make the final payment. I found three small hidden areas that were missed (HOLIDAYS) on our home. When I ask Nathan about this he apologized and said he would come back by. He never showed. I called again, same reaction; but still a no show. The next time he called me to apologize (again) witch I appreciated, but he didn't solve the problem. The three spots were small and out of sight so I painted them myself, but that's not the point. He also had a slight problem with cashing a check from my credit card issuer (VISA check). But in the end it all worked out. We've gotten many compliments from our neighbors on the colors and the good job. Thank You TOP QUALITY PAINTING

I placed three calls to Top Quality Painting in ten days. I left my name and phone number each time, and I have not heard back from them. I mentioned of course that I was calling about the deal I had purchased. At this point, I do not want to work with them due to the lack of response.

I contacted Nathan at Top Quality Painting, after he had painted my mom's house back in 2011. I inspected her job and was happy with it, so I was hoping Nathan could give me a good deal. Nathan, he came out, and I mentioned the "Big Deal" which was $999 for 40 man hours. Nathan said that since Angie's list charges a fee, that he would give me their big deal price as long as I did't go through them. I agreed, and I also verbally agreed to a "discounted" $35 per hour price for anything over 40 man hours. Nathan estimated that it would take 45-50 hours to complete the job, and that he would give me the paint "at his cost." I also had some concerns with fading on a south facing wall which never receives any shade, and he assured me that they would apply any extra paint to that wall to make sure it didn't fade. The following was what Nathan said would be needed to paint my house: Body ? 30 gallons Roofline ? 3 gallons Mid Trim ? 1 gallon Front Door ? 1 quart After sending Nathan the color choices and sample photos of other houses, on Monday 4/15/13 his guys came out to pressure wash then begin taping up the house. I have sun screens on the south and west walls, and noticed that they didn't remove the sun screens to pressure wash or tape up the windows, which Nathan said would happen. They began to paint Wed 4/17 day, but due to wind and weather, they couldn't, and the house stayed taped up for another day. After the workers had left, I noticed that they did not tape my concrete, which caused pretty significant overspray on my rear cement patio. They also left a paint sprayer and half open bucket of paint in the grass. I had the diligence to turn the sprinklers off, otherwise I would could have destroyed their electric paint sprayer, blown a breaker, or water logged my bucket of paint. I sent Nathan a message about it, and he said it would be cleaned up the following day. On 4/18/13, painting began, and while the workers were out on lunch break I went to check out their work. Immediately I noticed a few issues: The rear door was just sprayed (in Sherlastic), not hand painted using a more durable paint. The paint on the door was so thick from spraying it had puddled and started to run The paint on the stucco was extremely thin, and the old paint color could clearly be seen through the new paint. I left things alone and decided to see what would happen by the end of the day. My first walk-through was around 4pm and I immediately noticed that the garage door had been painted in the body color of the house. I told the workers it was supposed to be the trim color (dark brown), and they got to work on it. I quickly looked over everything but since the masking had already been removed, only small issues could be fixed, and it was now getting dark so visibility was limited. At that time I signed Nathan's contract that he e-mailed to me and paid for the work, which came out as follows: 52 hours total (quoted by the worker) 40 hrs - 999 (Big deal) 12 hours @ $35/hr - $420 Paint - $565.46 A check for $1,984.46 was written, and given to the workers along with the signed contract. The following day before noon I went out to check out the quality of the job. I was less than impressed, as my old paint was visible in numerous areas, some areas were barely painted (like in and around corners and details). The crew's cleanup was horrific and there was masking tape, cauking tubes and paint drips all over. They did clean up their overspray in the back, but had then painted my plants in front along with some bark. I then became suspicious about the number of hours worked. After reviewing my surveillance footage around my house, I determined that I had been over charged on hours. I calculated that even if I had included 1 hour travel time and a 1 hour paid lunch, his workers would have only worked 44 hours, and if I didn't include that, only 39.5 hours! I again contacted Nathan with all of those issues, and Nathan stated he would send a new crew out in a few weeks to fix the issues, and repaint the west and south walls. My concern was if the paint was as thin as I believed it was, that there could be fading issues, and I wanted that solved. On 4/21, I was mowing my lawn, and ran over a large metal paint sprayer nozzle, which had been left in my grass. Luckily no damage was done to my lawn mower, but this, again, was made clear to Nathan. Nathan called and scheduled his crew to come out on 4/26 at noon. The day before, I got up on a ladder and started doing a thorough inspection of the paint job done. I began noticing that the farther front he ground you got, the thinner the paint got. I also discovered that on small decorative ledges, the painters just "slapped" a little paint on the upper part of the ledge, but large areas of my old paint were clearly visible. Nathan assured me that his guys would look over it all and fix it. 4/26 arrived, and around 1pm I called Nathan to find out where his crew was. He text'd me back at 2:18pm to say they are running late and that they will stay until it's done. The crew finally arrived at approx 3:40pm. I had to leave for work before they finished, but told Nathan I would tell him if there are any problems. At bout 8pm, Nathan sent me a message apologizing for the poor work done, and that the crew which came out said the previous crew had "left alot of stuff." Nathan checked up again the next day and I told him I would contact him with any problems I find, but that the South/West walls done in 2 coats looked alot better. This was my last contact with Nathan for 4 months. My home was vandalized during the summer, so I needed an estimate for the police report. I called a few contractors, and the contractor that came out had been using Sherwin William's paints for a very long time and said that I should get in contact with Sherwin Williams to have my paint tested. Not only did the thickness of the paint look thin, but he also questioned the type of paint used (Sherlastic). The contractor also advised that if the paint was the proper thickness, that the eggs wouldn't have caused as much damage as they did. On 9/5/14 Sherwin Williams sent out a regional representative to take paint samples. He took a sample from each wall direction (N/S/E/W) and one near the entry way. All samples were taken at ground level, and he said the results would be available in about a month. I reveived a response in late September, which indicated that the DTF (Dry Film Thickness) for the samples showed a 2mil undercoat in tan (my original 10 year old paint), and 2 mil taupe (new paint). The paperwork also stated that the MDS (Material Data Sheet) for Sherlastic paint should be 8 to 12 mils thick. This proves that the paint applied was LESS than 1/4 the required thickness for that type of paint. After finding out about the thickness issue, I recontacted Nathan in November, and he came out. We came to a resolution, but no start date. While putting up my Christmas lights in Mid November, I got a solid chance to review his work at the higher peaks of my house, which I had not previously checked. What I saw infuriated me. Any part of the house which was not visible from ground level was barely painted, and in the front of my house there were "low" parts of the stucco where my old paint was CLEARLY showing through. A decorative ledge above our garage had only a small "blob" of new paint on it but was mostly old paint showing through. I increased my efforts in contacting Nathan, advising him that I would look into civil action if he did not begin responding. I felt he was in violation of his own contract (there was DEFINITELY not two coats applied). His voicemail box would be full, and it still took two weeks to get a response. A date of 12/16 was set up to begin work. They pressure washed, but due to the weather, it was mutually decided that we should wait to paint. A new day to paint was not set up. I waited a week for him to contact me, before I sent him a message on 12/26. The following week (12/30) looked to have great weather. I never got a response, and after multiple voicemails left, I finally received a text on 1/13 stating that they could come paint on 1/30, 6 weeks after the last attempt. The weather had said it would be raining on 1/30 for a few days, but it took until 1/29 at 10:19pm for Nathan to contact me and say they would not be out to paint. I decided to do a little research as to what civil options I had, including checking his contractor's license. At that time, I learned that his license was SUSPENDED due to no longer having Contractor's License Bond (which expired 1/13/14). I also noticed Nathan's website had been taken down, and that Nathan's Workman's Compensation Insurance had lapsed 10/17/13. In doing a little research on that, I learned that workman's compensation insurance is required if you have any employees OTHER THAN YOURSELF doing the work. Nathan had never touched my house outside of being there for the estimate. Once I discovered the license issue, I told Nathan that at this point I feel like civil suit is going to be my only course of action. Nathan assured me that he wanted to make things right, and said that he would send his crew out on 2/13, and that his contractors license would be fixed by then. While skeptical, I made it clear that outside of weather, this was his last chance to make this right. I also made it clear that I wanted his men to be prompt that morning and make sure they brought all the required paint. 2/13/14 came and I never heard from Nathan, and nobody showed up. No text, no phone call, nothing. Since then, I have both filed and won a judgement in a small claims case against Top Quality Painting, and that will allow me to have my home repainted by another company.

It went okay. Overall, it was fine...they got here an hour late so we don't get the total hours that they are supposed to be here. They left the regular time of five o'clock so we got seven hours not eight. They didn't get the job done. When the guy came to quote the work, he didn't give me any indication that they wouldn't be able to do it all in one day. The two guys that came to do the work...did a good job but they can't finished the entire job so I finished it later. The work they did was fine it was just the estimate was not informative in the sense that they could not get it done in the time that we've got. They should have informed us upfront...which would have been fine so we could have added more time then. It's okay.

Pretty average. The contractor came to the house to preview the job and discussed specifics of what needed to be done. We agreed on a date, and he said it could be completed in one working day. The actual painters arrived when expected, but the head painter started complaining and objecting to the project, saying that it was impossible, that the previous painters had made a mess, etc., etc. I called the contractor and he (I thought) squared them away. The ceiling re-texturing was not a big job, but it took twice as long as expected because: (1) they used a different machine, making it impossible to dry quickly; and (2) the head painter made the ceiling look WORSE than it already did, and the contractor had to come out himself and fix the job. I will give him credit for making good on a problem and being responsive. The last day they were at my house, they left my front door wide open and it was 36 degrees outside, and left debris from the front door to the back bedroom. I had to ask them to clean up. Nevertheless, the job looked pretty good when they left. Later, however, as I have looked closer at the job, I have discovered lots of little and not so little problems. (1) They broke the glass in a framed picture, then hid it behind my dresser; (2) they actually splashed a little paint on my Hunter Douglas (expensive) blinds; (3) didn't tape well, so they left paint on light switches, light fixtures, etc. Sorry, but I won't be using them again.

He and his crew were polite and professional, and the finished product looks great. The cleanup was very thorough, also. The quality of the work is excellent. Considering they even worked most of the day on Christmas Eve, I can't fault them for the time lapse.

The contractor did not call me after I purchased the big deal. After several days, I called the contractor and left a voicemail and still did not receive a call back. I left him a message on Angie's list several days after that and still did not hear back. Approximately 2 weeks after purchasing the big deal, I called and left another voicemail asking if they were still in business and if I needed to dispute the charge. I did receive an email reply on Angie's list after that asking if the contractor could come out and "spec" the job on Friday, Dec. 6. However, I needed the work completed by that date. In spite of this I emailed back and told the contractor that would be okay. However, he never called or showed up on Friday, Dec. 6. I am frustrated with the horrible customer service from this contractor and want my money back as I received no services.

When I got the estimate from this company and I made sure to give them extensive detail about all of the prep work that needed to get done before starting the painting on the exterior of my home. The man that gave the estimate was never here when the work was being done. They did the work the first time, and I was very unhappy with the result. Bottom line is that it seemed like they never did prepping on the home, at least nothing more than pressure washing, considering that the job looked terrible. It looked better before they painted as far as I'm concerned. I called the company and the owner and his brother, who gave the estimate, came out to fix the work. They spent a day or two here to make those changes and I paid them, but they did not make it look much better. They promised that they would come back out when the weather got better to fix the remaining problems, but so far they have only come back out and started the process and it is still not fixed. I now have cracks in the front wood of the house, because it got wet, and the paint cracked and blistered. There have been at least two or three times now that the owner promised his staff would be here and they never showed up. We even called him from another number and he did answer that, but had not been answering our initial calls. My grading reflects my experience as of now.
Description of Work: I hired him to do the exterior painting of my home, my shed, and patio cover.

I purchased a deal ($399 for two painters for a day) but the job was more extensive than what was covered just be the deal. They painted our dining room, living and family rooms, living room ceiling, a hallway, and three bedrooms for $900 total ($399 deal + additional $500). Nathan came out a few days after I bought the deal and gave an estimate of about $800 total to do all the work and said they would be able to complete it in two days. When they arrived, someone was sick so they could only stay for a coupld hours on the first day. This was problematic because we were going out of town and needed it finished the following day. Well...the job ended up taking longer than any of us anticipated, but the guys (all very nice and professional) stayed until 1AM to finish! The paining looks great, and its much better than I could have done myself. At 1AM when they were finished, we went to settle up, and we agreed on a price that seemed fair to everyone. I'm not too crazy about the color I chose for the hallway, so Im probably going to have them come out and paint that another color in the future. I would definitely recommend these guys.
Description of Work: Painted most of the rooms in my 1400 sq/foot house excpet the kitchen.

Top Quality Painting is fantastic! The owner was very nice and got back to me the day I called. They are the best and neatest painters I have ever used. You can usually tell good painters by the way they prep before they begin to paint and they have that down! First they taped off all my windows, trim and covered my floors with plastic. Then they meticulously painted. I could not be happier or more pleased with the results. Great crew and excellent value. You will get more than your money's worth. I will definately have them back to paint the rest of my interior rooms.
Description of Work: Painted several interior rooms and my exterior front door and shutters.
