Everything went as expected. A job well done!

The crew finished, but there was some details that needed to be finished. Nathan and a co-worker came out to finished it up.

Originally scheduled for August 16th. The workers car broke so rescheduled for the next day. Owner of company came to to the job on the 17th. His worker called in ill. He got right to work after a quick walk through of the work area. I was pleased with the work in the major more obvious damaged areas. Did a good job. Missed allot of the smaller scaring. I am doing those repairs myself now. I have some mess to clean up after the job. Not a big deal for me as carpet, etc is going to be torn out. Gave me a couple of good tips about using the spray on canned texture products. All in all, for the price and the repairs done, it was worth it to me to have help getting a start at finishing the project.

Nathan and his crew at Top Quality Painting were responsive, punctual, and professional. They don't take short-cuts (they power wash, mask windows and doors, apply base coat, etc.) and followed through on details that I requested. I probably could have someone else do the work at a lower cost. But with the quality of their work, I think they provide a good value.

They did a great job, showed up on time, did all the necessary prep work, went the extra mile, and did a quality job. I'd hire them again!

Very well done. Nice work. The person who applied the etching and paint, Bo, was very friendly and worked hard. the job was completed in a timely manner and to our great satisfaction.

It was good! They were probably here for maybe 7 1/2 hours. After the job, they didn't clean up everything the way I would have expected. I found bits of stucco around the home.

I solitcted Nathans work as a result of a "big deal" that was offered on Angie's List. Nathan's crew corrected and finished up a job that had been done by a previous stucco contractor. His crew did a good job and seemed to be very professional.

After purchasing the Big Deal, I went to the California State Licensing Board and discovered that this contractor's license has been suspended. I do not wish to deal with an unlicensed contractor and I feel Angie's List should remove this company from their list of service providers. Also, although I received a message via Angie's List on 7/29/14 from the provider stating "I will contact you" I never received any other call/message/email.

Nathan fixed some of the problems, but he missed some of the details. Because of the problems he found, he wasn't able to devote as much time to finishing the work as he should have. Our first experience with him was very good and caused us to engage with him a second time. The second experience was not as good. We have sinced moved and sold the house.

It was a little difficult to get the job scheduled. But when we did get this done it is ok.

In addition to repairing the trim, I had also shown him the front door paint. He had his painter redo the door as well. I would most definitely use Nathan again and will continue to recommend his company. Thank you Nathan

Top Quality Painting - Our Favorite! (We had several big projects.) Why we loved Top Quality Painting: Nathan's bid for both wall painting, and kitchen and bath cabinet refinishing (sanding and repainting), was very reasonable. His excellent crew of Jorge, Walter and Luis did a careful skillful job of prepping, masking and painting with beautiful ceiling and baseboard lines. As part of prep and finish, the hard-working friendly crew repaired a toilet roll holder, straightened towel racks, removed a blank outlet, caulked cracks, and handled other out-of-reach issues. Leave some flex time - the start of our job got pushed out a few days while they were finishing others, and began with another crew. All interior walls (excluding closets and utility rooms) and cabinets were completed over 18 days. Floor installers said they do not repair/paint baseboard. We paid an hourly rate for the Top Quality Painting crew to return to prep and paint the baseboard after the wood floor refinishers were done. To get the best job do your part: clean baseboards in advance, clear the way, point out any misses/issues as you go, and show appreciation. Top Quality Painting resolved many problems along the way, including those caused by others. Their goal was our satisfaction. We give Top Quality Painting our highest recommendation!

The painting of the drywall and installation of the epoxy floor went very well. Good work. The only slight complaint is that the employees sent to perform the painting and installation of the epoxy floor were 30 minutes to an hour late arriving every day except the last day. This was somewhat annoying. However, they were very polite fellows, and did a good job.

Nathan the owner of Top Quality Painting is terrific. He quoted a fair price I was happy with and was able to schedule me the following week. Steve was the painter that did the painting and he is awesome. My dining room had wood paneling and I know that it is very hard to paint and have it look great. When Steve first arrived, he saw the type of paneling we have and decided he would use a different tool for the painting. He could have used what he brought but said he wanted to make these walls as smooth as possible. He drove all the way home to get it. I appreciate his work ethic and need to do the very best job he can. The paneling is perfectly smooth now (no brush strokes at all!) The ceilings and crowns were painted and there were no splatters or mess at all. Steve was very tidy. He was on time, friendly, professional and most importantly very skilled at his job. I will definitely hire Top Quality Painting again!

It went extremely well. The owner called two days after we tagged him from Angie's List and showed up the following weekend. He was cordial and professional in answering all of our questions and concerns. He was very patient in explaining every aspects of the painting process. I appreciate the fact that he over explained the process with me down to the type of paint and its characteristics; the "inside baseball". That's very assuring. He provided excellent advise on color schemes and didn't hesitate to voice his doubts or concerns as to what a particular color's outcome would be. That's being professional; customer first before self. I ran into a small problem before the painting started. My wife changed our color scheme at the last minute leaving me with no alternate plan. I asked one of the guys from the crew if he can drive with me around our neighborhood to check some houses and help me pick out colors. The guy was super nice and courteous and stayed with me all the way. As soon as I picked the right color he went to work searching his catalog and spending over 40 minutes. That guy knew his craft; He came up with the perfect matched. Our house is now "brand new" thanks to Nate and his professional crew.

Purchased a Big Deal and scheduled a service date and time. Took an afternoon off from work for our scheduled appointment but no one ever came. I left a voice mail but no one returned call. FOUR days later was informed by email that owner forgot to put it in his calendar (even though he confirmed with me by Angie's List message the night prior). Understand these things happen, but I had to make other arrangements to make sure the work was done prior to a certain date.

Did an excellent prep job. Paint was peeling every where. Did an excellent job of covering the epoxy areas done by blow in wall insulation and demarcation lines of new stucco done as result of a recent remodel. Did excellent job of covering all my fixtures, windows and doors. Also, spackled/epoxyed all joints under roof over hang on house and garages. Cosmetically repaired large cracked area on neighbor's garage where car had been driven into garage wall. A small amount of paint got onto the front of my neighbor's garage. My neighbor could not locate matching paint. So, the painters scraped a bit of paint off her garage and then on their lunch hour drove from Upper Land Park to Rancho Cordova and matched the paint. They covered up the area that they had effected as well as an area that had been previously blemished by someone else. The paint job is beautiful.

Problems with communication: I was prompted to use this contractor after having some serious stucco problems and the big deal seemed to be the way to go, but the process with the contractor getting back to me in a timely fashion, or taking the time to discuss what sort of issues we were having, was nonexistent beyond some "touching base" emails (the first was Angie's List asking me more than 48 hours after purchase if we had heard from the contractor yet and then finally receiving one from the contractor). We decided to solicit bids from other paint contractors (outside of Angie's Listings) which lead to a much quicker response and visit from one contractor already, plus finding out that what we thought was a serious and expensive stucco problem, was something else all together. The big deal offer did not include anything beyond labor for 8 hours, so we would not have any clue until the day we were scheduled to find out how much for materials and paint, and that lead to more frustration since we weren't exactly getting much out of the big deal contractor. It also worried us that when you look up the contractor's website, it isn't exactly their website, but a listing of services performed by this contractor and other contractors. I think we are better off going with someone who has been very responsive both in scheduling a time to come out to give us a "real" estimate of work AND material costs that is needed to fix our problem and quickly get back to us about what it will cost for repairs and paint (also having matched up the paint color needed for the painting and touch ups) I've said this before on other big deal coupon offers we've bought, I think some of these contractors go into a coupon deal and quickly discover they're overwhelmed by the number of customers purchasing the deals, they then take on the duties of scheduling out with some of the customers, and the rest of us are either put on the back burner or forgotten about, because the contractor is working for the "early birds" and not getting back to the rest of us customers to schedule. I wouldn't be buying a big deal unless I was then expecting to get the work done fairly soon (within a month). Another issue I'm experiencing with the Big Deals is that the coupon deal isn't a 100% inclusive price. It tends to lead to additional costs and when services are performed you're kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place if you don't go ahead and authorize the additional work/price (as undoubtedly would have been the case with the stucco repair work). I think there was way too much time taken on our part, between just trying to make contact the contractor and now trying to get a refund... Perhaps a solution is that a credit card is held pending and isn't charged until the contractor has actually made contact with a customer...and not just a "we'll get back to you in a few days" response. In any case, that's the end of my soap box speech. WORK WAS NOT STARTED of COMPLETED, the last communication via email with this contractor was approx. 6/21/2014 which was just to tentatively schedule out a date when work would be done. Thank you for YOUR time and attention to this matter.

My experience with them was good. They were on time and gave me an estimate. They explained at least in some detail what they were going to do. They were pretty much on time, were responsive and pretty much came when they said they were going to. They quoted me $2850 for their services.

I’d say it went poorly. First, he missed the appointment for the estimate. Called, apologized, rescheduled for the next day. I asked how much of my wish list his team could paint within the hours covered by the “deal”, and was told all the spaces I wanted panted could be done, plus the water closet in the master bath. We scheduled for the week of Dec 13th & I bought the paint. It went downhill from there. A 2-person team showed up late, and one immediately said he had to leave to go get supplies from another job – he was gone nearly 2 hours while the other one taped one room. There was no prep of the walls (nail holes not filled). The painted the guest room and the master bath water closet in 2 days, and taped up the guest bath so it was unusable, They then disappeared for several days – leaving me to remount all the hardware (switch plated, toilet paper holder, etc.) in the master to make one toilet area functional. There was no message on when they would return to finish up, and the holiday was approaching. When the team returned, they slapped paint on the guest bath, waited barely 15 minutes before putting the second coat on, and smeared the wet paint when they put up the pressure mounted shower curtain rod, and that was it. No word when they left; no mention of the master bedroom they also were supposed to paint. I voiced my concerns to the owner, and again he was apologetic, and agreed to paint the master after the holiday. But the quality of the painting was not professional. The job took longer than promised. The communication was poor, and I did not get all the rooms promised in the estimate. Frankly I chose not to pursue having them paint the master. I’ll hire someone else for a better experience and result. I believe the owner over committed because of the Angie’s “deal” and the holidays, with an unfortunate outcome – at least for me.

Did a great job arrived on time, acted in a very professional manner and explained every step of the process to me. I would highly recommend Top Quality Painting. =)

The work went well. Nathan explained the work that would have to be done, especially the masking, etc. necessary to spray the popcorn ceilings. He anticipated 2-3 days for the job and it took 3 days. The workmen were careful. Overall, they did a job that me expectations and more.
