 + -1 moreBad, like I said prior, everything he did I had to have done over with the acception of the indoor light fixtures.
Description of Work: I had James come to my home for several projects, nothning major accept for my weatherstripping on my entrance door. He says he know how to do everything but really doesn't. So far, several things he has done I had to have someone come out and redo. The one big thing I hated about James is that he would never give me a actual estimate of what the job would cost, per hour or per the job. He would always say, well I don't know until I get on the job doing it. He knew that I was on a fixed income but I don't think he cared one way or another. The only thing that he did good was hang new light fixtures other than that I have had to have everything redone.My security lights, and my front door. I would never have him do anything for me and friends of mine feel the same. He is not honest, beware of him. I feel anyone that does not want to give you some kind of quote is no good. I spent more money than I should have because I had to have everything redone.

 + -1 moreHe is a very professional man who was prompt and quite personable. The only concern was he looked at the job and started suggesting more extensive work that he thought would be better. My mother, who is 88, liked what he said and thought it would be okay to do the work. Well, a minimal cost went up to $2,500. She was now was in the mode to get a loan to do the work. After chatting with her, it was decided only to do the original work. He only put in the grab bars which was what we wanted in the first place. He did a good job and we are quite happy with his work.
Description of Work: He attached grab bars for my handicapped mother.

 + -1 moreWhen he was referred by my son-in-law, I called and he returned my calls promptly, did the work when he said he would and discussed the options with me so I could do the work in stages if I couldn't pay for all of it at once.
Description of Work: James went to my rental on 3304 Huntsman Dr., inspected it throughly, prioritized the work needed and did it promptly. My tenant was pleased with his professional manner. I waited until now to recommend him to make sure that things were really repaired. There was a back log of deferred maintenance due in part to my tenant's reluctance to tell me when things went wrong. He replaced 10 hot and cold water supply valves, malfunctioning electric connections, replaced screens, light fixtures, repaired leaks and replaced the cabinet bases damaged by the leaks - you get the idea. He did the shopping and completed the work in two days, if I remember correctly.
