+ -1 more.I was given a time and I wainted but the truck did not arrive. I called DOMCO and learned that there had been a mistake with scheduling. The person on the phone apologized for the delay and said another truck was being dispatched. The truck arrived a short time later. The service guy apologized again for the delay and pumped out the tank. The guy was very knowledgeable about septic systems and gave me some good advice about keeping the septic system operating effectively. I was very impressed with the guy's expertise and his customer service. When he gave me the bill, he told me his boss had told him to take $50.00 of the bill due to the scheduling mistake. I liked the service so much that I had my name put on a reminder list. DOMCO will call me in 5 years to service the septic tank. I would recommend DOMCO to anyone who needs a septic tank pumped.

+ -1 moreWe had sewage backing into the first floor shower. I called DOMCO around 8:15 AM and the service plumber was at our home within an hour. He first determined the location on the blockage then gave me a price quote to clear that issues. Then I asked him to snake and clear the shower drain and he gave me the price for that service. It took less than an hour and the entire problem was resolved. The Plumber was very clear in giving me an understanidng of the issue and options. He left the bathroom clean and disinfected. I am very pleased with the service and will use then again.
Description of Work: Snake and clear lower level back-up of sewer line from back-flow to bathroom and snake and clear shower drain.

+ -1 moreTwo Domco employees responded, put covers on their shoes to come in the house, snaked out the drain, and were on their way out... all in about 20 minutes. They were professional, polite, clean, and did the job.
Description of Work: kitchen drain was plugged up. Our 25 ft snake couldn't get it open. Domco was here within a half hour of our call.

+ -1 moreIt turned out the entire plumbing system had to replaced because the kitec inner layer of tubing was degraded and failed. I called a contractor and had my home comepletely re-piped.
Description of Work: Had a water pipe burst. The pipe was the newer flexible PEX pipe name Kitec. The plumber showed up and spent about 10 minutes in my attic. He came down and advise that the pipe had malfunctioned and was spraying hot water all over out attic. He told me that the type of pipe, Kitec was no longer made and parts were unavailable because it was taken off the market. He said that only way he could fix it was if he had some kitec pipe to copper pipe "unions". He had to use "unions" made by Kitec because the inside diameter of the kitec pipe was of a different size than all other PEX pipe made. If he did not have any laying around the shop there would be no way to repair the leak by splicing the pipe with copper and that I would have to re-pipe my entire home. He turned off my hot water and stopped my leak and called me the next morning. "I have good news; I found the tow kitec fittings we needed and I can repair your pipe" He showed up at my home with the kitec fittings and an 18" piece of copper pipe. He spent about 30 minutes splicing my pipe with copper and presented me with a bill of $850.00! Keep in mind, he spent a total of 1 hour at my home and drove to my house twice. The material cost could not have been more than $20 (go price an 18" length of 3/4" copper pipe and you can see for yourself how musch materials cost) but he charged me $850.00. I would not, in a million years EVER call these guys again. My recommendation would be to have the name and number of an independant plumber in you address book so you can get a hold of him in an emergency. NOTE: This work was actually performed in 2009 but Angies List would not go back that far

+ 1 moreHad a faucet break that spewed water all over. The shut-off was also faulty. Called Domco and they immediately sent someone out who repaired the line and replaced the faucet. They also gave us advice on how to do a clean-up of the wet conditions without having to call a water damage specialist. Saved us a truckload of money there. We have over the last couple of years used Domco as our "go-to" plumber. We have probably spent $2,500.00 to $3,000.00 in that time. They serviced and repaired our ejection pump as well as providing help for the "usual" plumbing issues found in an older home in which the previous owners remodeled NOTHING according to code. They have always been prompt, courteous, reasonable priced, and professional. Can't ask for more!

Description of Work: Our tenant told us there was a leak and water was slowly dripping from the ceiling in the kitchen. We knew that it had to be from the upstairs bathroom. He quickly determined it was from the shower. He took the face plate off the faucet to look inside and was able to diagnose the issue. He then opened up the wall and he replaced the valve on the faucet.

+ 1 moreWe had a leak under stamped concrete patio. They found it with their sound equipment, and pinpointed it within a couple of square feet. We had some laborers jackhammer that area and they found the leak. I highly recommend them. They replaced our septic tank and cleaned in the past.

+ 1 moreThey arrived on time Tuesday afternoon and Eric started digging to find the septic tank - using their camera and a county permit plan that I had available. Eric and Gil found the septic tank and pumped it out. They worked late to get it done - had to come back the following morning to "typhoon" out the lines to the leach fields. When they returned, they used their camera to find what they thought was the Distribution Box - but which, in reality was a crushed pipe from the Septic Tank to the Distribution Box - it had been crushed by rocks and roots (never plant oleander near a septic tank!). They dug out the pipe, replaced it with a new one, found that the (very old) cover of the Distribution Box was rotted out redwood, so they got a new Distribution Box, replaced the old one, then flushed out to the leach field (which was thankfully fine). Dom (the owner) communicated with me frequently and clearly. The guys were polite, timely, and clean (considering what they were doing!). Not sure if price competitive, but work was of high quality... I would definitely recommend!
Description of Work: Septic Tank pumped, pipe damage found and pipe replaced, septic distribution box replaced, system flushed out to leach field. Toilet flapper unit replaced.

+ -1 moreI decided to have the toilets in my elderly parents house replaced for convenience to them, (their old ones were too short and slow etc.). I called a few companies from Angie's List but Domco really stood out. The woman who answered the phone was very polite and helpful. I had pricing questions and she said that the owner was in the office so I could speak to him directly. He jumped right on the phone and let me know matter-of-factly which kind of toilet would be best for my parents, giving me options, not just the cheapest or most expensive but really what my best bet would be as far as durability etc. He was very knowledgeable. I decided to go ahead and set the appointment. Unfortunately I couldn't be there to meet the installer but my parents praised him lavishly! He called me with an exact estimate of the cost to get my okay before starting any work. The installer was so kind and professional to them. He cleaned up all the mess and made sure the toilets were to their exact liking before he left. I have never had such an easy and hassle free experience with a service company. Not only were they knowledgeable and polite, but a delight to meet such enjoyable people. I recommend them to everyone at work and my friends, and I am sure my parents do too!! As far as pricing went, I am very glad I chose the toilets I did and they are well worth the price I paid. I even got a discount on the second one since I did two at the same visit. They have very reasonable prices for hard working persons like myself.

+ -1 moreI had a leak in the water main between the street and my house. I called Domco and they came right and gave me a written estimate of $375 to find the leak. The plumber also gave me an estimate of $375 to dig down to the leak and $125 to fix it but I did not realize that these were not written down. I tracked down the location of the leak and dug the 2.5 feet to the broken pipe. A different plumber came, cleared the gravel and repaired the pipe in less than 1 hour. He charged me $375. I thought it was a misunderstanding but the manager has refused to call me back to adjust the price. Bottom line; $375 per hour and DO NOT trust a verbal estimate. It was my fault to pay the bill but I work out of town and only home on the weekend and he was able to do the job quickly.
Description of Work: The plumber fixed a leaking water main from the street to the house. He cleared gravel from around the broken pipe, cut out the broken portion and inserted a repair part.

+ -1 moreVery stressful and frustrating. The "faucet" installed had plastic pieces that leaked all over. Had to get the owner to authorized a steel faucet. 25 days into warranty coverage a leak occurred in the wall that was the attachment to the ice maker at the refrigerator. It discolored the wall and the rug. I had to move heaven and hell and talk to numerous people and finally I got the owner to get him to replace the little valve and copper piece at the refrigerator without additional cost. Quality of work overall was poor and I had a sense that they were cutting corners at customers expense.
Description of Work: Hooked up washer and drier. Hooked water line to ice maker on refrigerator. Changed a faucet. Simple huh?

He called him and I was told he was "busy" and he would call me back. It never happened. Waste of my time since I took off early from work to keep this "appointment".
