It went excellently, as always. They removed the wooden mantle, the brick on the floor, and the wall brick. Then then encompassed the fireplace area on the wall with new stone tile. And they replaced the blank area on the floor with floor tile that we had left over from the previous floor tile project. This is the 3rd job we've done with Rock Solid. They are masters of the art, no doubt. Previous projects for us with Rock Solid were 1) the upstairs guest bathroom (a complete demolition, and replacement of tub, floor and wall tile, and sink/cabinet) 2) 1100 sq. ft. of floor tile - the entire downstairs of our home. If you've read this far, keep reading. With the fireplace/family room, I mentioned to the Rock Solid team that we had to be careful of my speaker wires that ran under the floor tile. Rock Solid remembered that detail from the previous floor tile job, and worked carefully around the wire. Amazing job.

First Scot came to bid the job. He knew the scope of the job and gave us a price that was appropriate for the work performed. Elidio and his crew are amazing and very experienced. Elidio is extremely meticulous and precise. We watched them do the work. Elidio and his crew did a great job of always being thoughtful and considerate. Elidio is very detailed oriented and his work looks absolutely beautiful. They are always so happy when they arrive and get right to work. I never have to worry because they come in and know exactly what to do. It has been a pleasure to work with them. Elidio is a perfectionist and only works the highest quality products. He refereed me to a place to purchase the tile and I was pleased with that service too. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience.

Elidio and his crew are amazing. First Elidio helped me design the tile work and offered suggestions as to layout of the tub surround and the huge new shower. He tried to find a good deal on the tile I'd decided on. He helped with granite selection and got us an excellent price on the slab we picked out. When it was time to start installation, his guys were there on time every time, and they were meticulous. I'd thought at first his bid was a little high, but after seeing how many hours his guys put into this job, the care they took to set each piece exactly right, including honing the quarter-rounds piece by piece to make sure they laid right and taking the deco tiles (which came on a sheet) apart and resetting them by hand because the way they came, the spaces were uneven, they were worth every penny and more. I highly, highly recommend them, and plan to use them again myself when we redo the kitchen.
