RCD Remodel - Construction - Design & Build

Honest, responsive, hard working, knowledgeable, punctual, finished on time and in the budget. The entire team went above and beyond to please us. We would hire them all back and recommend to our family and friends. Bravo RCD.

First of all check Tim Armitage's license, which we did after the fact There is some question as to his current status. We had a complete upgrade done to the exterior of our house. We were pleased with the overall outcome until we went to fill the pool and found out that during the demolition of the old concrete, the fill pipe for the pool had gotten damaged by the skip loaders they were using. This pipe was right below the surface and should of been checked before they poured the new concrete, especially since they had broken another pipe in the same area and at the same depth. Needless to say we did not find out about it until after all the new concrete had been poured, when 10 weeks after the completion of the job, a crack appeared and water started seeping out. (we do have photos of the skip loader right over where this pipe is located), and this pipe had never leaked before the start of construction. When we approached Tim, the general contractor, he was unapologetic and tried to blame it on everything other then his own lack of oversight. This brings me to the communication aspect of this project. Most of Tim's communication is done by text and photos. We basically only saw him when he wanted a check. There were many times when we felt that we were the project managers for the job, like the time that our streets water was being turned off, which I had informed Tim of exact time and date prior, and who shows up to work, but one of the concrete guys, and don't they need water? Or the time when the roofer showed up and they had not completed the painting in that area. Thankfully we were home at the time, otherwise there would of been a situation. We never even got the courtesy of a final walk around to make sure everything was OK. All through the job Tim got texts and photos from his subcontractors upon completion of their portion of the project and Tim relied on these sources without an on sight look see. On this note, at the completion of the project we got a text asking if everything was good, and that was the extent of the walk through.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience than working with RCD to remodel our kitchen! Tim won us over from the start - great communication, listened to all our Pinterest inspired ideas and pulled every string he could to keep us within budget. Then he introduced us the dream team of contractors. MVP goes to Art, the incredibly talented contractor. He and Daniel transformed our kitchen in a few short weeks and brought such great attitudes to the job. The kitchen is absolutely stunning and we’ve gotten so many compliments. We couldn’t be happier and can’t wait to do more work with this team.

I have had one other major remodel in a previous home. So I had some concerns, especially since I was living out of state and only visiting every 2 to 3 weeks. Tim was exceptional in keeping me informed on the progress, even sending photos, which allowed me to see that when he said he was at a certain point, I could actually see the progress. There are always issues that may arise due to miss communication even though the contract is detailed in full. Tim always called or emailed when he remembered discussing a detail with me but wanted to make sure that was indeed correct. Because it's difficult for a contractor and home owner to always be on the same page. I greatly appreciated that jester. The workmanship was excellent in every category. When I visited the subs were always friendly and asked if everything was correct. Also I found the outside of my residence to be clean and no debris piled up. His foreman Art was excellent. This is as good as it could be when remodeling. There is always anxieties with major remodeling but Tim is a very calm and patience individual. As you can see, I have high regards for RCD.

We interviewed several general contractors before the project, but after meeting TIM at RCD we were sold. He is a great people person and we trusted his integrity immediately. He did not disappoint! That is obviously why he has been in the business for 40 years. It was a very big job and we are thrilled with the results. There are a couple of things that really stand out. 1. Tim and his entire crew were great and always willing to accommodate our constantly changing plans. Sometimes, when we wanted to upgrade the original plans, there were of course change orders. But often, our requests were made with simply a smile and the results were always exactly as we hoped. 2. Tim would often visit our project and he and his Forman Art were always on the same page. We have never seen a harder working group than the crew on our project. 3. Sometimes, we would be unsatisfied with a particular part of the project, but our comments, no matter how minuscule would be fixed until we were more than pleased. 4. Nearing completion of our project, Art would work long hours making sure every detail was completed properly. He and Tim constantly let us know that they weren't happy until we were happy. And that is exactly how the entire project proceeded to completion. We are so thrilled with the result that we have scheduled phase 2 to remodel the other two bathrooms and laundry room. No telling what our future plans will be but we will call RCD Construction first. If you are looking for a contractor to give you a high quality remodel, we highly recommend RCD Construction.

Tim and his team continue to exceed my expectations! Just finishing our second remodel (addition). Tim has added Yavar to his team and they are amazing! They respond timely, they are creative with unforeseen issues, and work to get everything perfect. Neighbors stop by and ask to see the inside of my home because the addition looks so seamless and beautiful. I live in my dream house thanks to Tim and Yavar!

All the work they did in our house was exceptional! We get complements on our kitchen and bathroom from friends and family who come over. We're very pleased and would recommend them to others and will use them again in the future. Thank you again RCD!!!

The whole process was outstanding!! I’m someone who doesn’t like construction. The dust especially. But I also wanted an upgrade. I interviewed 3 contractors. Tim Armitage being one of them. He by far was a stand out. Not only was he very friendly and funny but his knowledge of construction was mind blowing. I ended up hiring RCD and was so happy I did. Tim’s crew were very nice and respectful. I didn’t feel uncomfortable. And that’s a big deal to me. Because I work from home I had to stay there during the construction process. Being very dust sensitive they would put plastic up wherever they were working. They also cleaned up the area every day after they were done. I felt they always went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Tim was great at always keeping the lines of communication open. He always answered his phone. Which I really appreciate. I can be kind of picky. I expect the best and I got it. The project was done in the time frame I was promised. Tim also has an eye for the finishes. He helped me pick out paint colors , tile, countertops etc. so that everything flowed nicely. The project went so smoothly! And for that I was so grateful. My kitchen and bathroom are beautiful. I would highly recommend them. Thank you RCD for a job well done!!
