Everything went pretty well, Mr Reid came by and provided an estimate that was on the higher range of the bids I received but when talking with him he was able to answer the questions the way I expected them to be answered. I'm glad I chose his company as his teams work was great. Everything looks as though it was there when the house was built, unless you knew it wasn't there before you'd never be able to find where the new wall meets the old. His workers were excellent and pleasant. Working with us to make the room exactly the way we wanted it, even when it meant a minor change here or there (no structural changes, just cosmetic). As construction begins walk through the plan with the workers so they have an idea of what was discussed then get out of their way! They work fast, communicate clearly and are timely. They finished on time and on budget. Thank you Mr Reid and your wonderful team!

Reid Construction has done so many projects for us. They are a major reason my house feels like my home. My neighbor even hired them to do bathroom and tiling projects. Great quotes, family friendly workers, honest and trustworthy.

Ben came out and laser measured the area that needed to be decked and came up with a very solid plan. Work went as planned and the job was completed on time. Work quality and pricing was excellent.

I needed a hole cut in the first floor ceiling of my home to expose slight leaky plumbing on the top floor. Benjamin Reid came out on a Saturday and did the work quickly and at a great rate. When I completed the plumbing work his associate returned to patch up the hole. The result was terrific. He matched the texture of the existing drywall perfectly. He's a Michelangelo of drywall ceiling work. I will definitely use Reid Construction again.

It was an excellent job. The subs he hired for the job were excellent. The main carpenter for the job was outstanding.

They were very respectful. Came when they said and cleaned up. We are very happy and will use them again!

This was an Angie's List special where the contractor would make a plan for a bath remodel for minimal cost. He did come to the appointment on time and used a laser/laptop system to measure the room and make a diagram. His attitude about the job changed when I said that I would not be doing the remodel right away as we were going to do the kitchen first and I was just taking advantage of the AL deal at this time to make the plan and potentially use it for the bid specifications. It took several calls to get him to email the plan to me and then when I finally got it, it was just a rather ordinary 2D view of each wall...hardly a plan. I could have done almost as well with paper and pencil. What I received was not even worth the $50 AL discounted price. I will not include his company when seeking bids when we do get around to the bath remodel based lack of professionalism I encountered. When companies do these discounted specials they should understand that they are "fishing" for work and not every trip is going to land the "big one". I use these AL deals to try out a company to see how they work with me. This company failed the test and lost a job because of it.

That turned out okay. I got a design in the mail after I followed up with the company. He did a design that we talked about and that was great. I thought it would have been more similar to an online software design. I thought there would be more visual things to look at to really “WOW” me.

.Two days after setting up the toilet and flushing it several times to make sure there was no leak, the toilet started leaking at the base. The installer came back and put a new wax ring and the problem was solved. He also put some caulking around the base. This company is dependable, reliable, honest, friendly and does leave a clean site.

He gave an estimate over the phone and it was way to high for the service. I was satisfied with the presentation and they did take a while to come out and look at the work. He came to give an estimate in person after that as well.

The painting took a bit longer than we would have liked, but the result was very good. The crown moulding looks great! We love our new office too. Ben was a pleasure to work with. He was responsive to phone calls, stopped by often, and his prices were very reasonable. All of Ben's employees are pleasant, respectful, and responsive to requests.

The quality of their work stood out the most to me.

I received a fair price. The service he provided was above average. It was a small job, but he did good work. I'm totally satisfied with the company and the owner. He is professional and I'm very happy that I found him.

The estimate was done promptly and work started on time and moved well. The new window was ordered just prior to Thanksgiving so there was a slight delay there due to the holidays. Ben Reid was very helpful and available to answer questions and even helped me save some money by suggesting I seal my slate prior to the installation. I did purchase somethings myself so that would probably add on another $500 to the total. Except for the demo, I dealt with one craftsman who did all the work himself. He was punctual, professional and cleaned up daily.

My laundry room never looks so good from the past 40 days (since February 8) It's so new after the repair. I'm very glad that I've chosen Reid's Construction for this service. They understood the important of a project big or small in the eyes of a client and they were very professional in providing the service. I will call upon them when my house requires work in future and I strongly recommend Reid's Construction to all my friends. Victor

Ultimately, we went with another company for a couple of reasons. They were late in providing the designs due to an influx of demand, and the designs themselves weren't really up to our expectations. Everyone was professional and friendly, however.

How did it go: The paint job was fantastic; a perfect match to the existing paint. The construction workmanship left something to be desired. I had to call them back several times. 1-After the work on the fireplace and chimney was completed, the rain water had not been directed into the gutter. 2-The downspout drainage was not done correctly. The water ran from the gutter and out of a space left between the gutter and the downspout onto the ground. 3- The trim around the front door was replaced with two boards vs. one long board. I was told that I would not be able to tell that it was two boards because there would not be a gap. Well, I could tell because there was not only a gap but the boards appeared to be of different diameters. 4-after completing the painting on the door trim, they forgot to replace the house numbers. So guests were unable to locate the house. (I didn't call back on this one, I just put the numbers back up myself.) I had to request an itemized list of materials and labor. It took too much oversight to get a good, solid job. Ben Reid is to be commended because he was willing to come back and get the job done correctly but it was frustrating for us both.

Still working for us and will have other jobs to do. Easy to work with.

All of his work was very easy to follow with the finishing and he was a joy to work with.

I needed several small jobs done, some of which required varied skills in excess of what a handyman could handle. Very happy to find Ben and his assistant who were more than qualified, so i could avoid calling plumber, electrician etc., and the cost was probably half of what that would've cost=great value. Scheduled the two of them for a half day complete the four jobs. All four were done and cleaned up by the time I came home. The shower shelves were an add on to a recent bathroom remodel by a different contractor, who installed the first two shelves,but Ben's install was noticeably cleaner (no chipping around the drill holes). One small issue with a leak where the water filter tied into the supply line was due to faulty hardware (he may have used a cheap fiiting), but he sent his guy over right away to repair /replace. No problems since. Good communication skills and responsiveness are a big plus. I will definitely get my first bid on a planned kitchen remodel from Ben.

It was excellent! It was a major job and they did a great job with it. They have done an awful lot for us on an ongoing basis over the past year. They have done ceiling, lighting, sheet rock, crown moldings, external stucco repair work, rebuilt our fireplace, woodwork, plumbing services, backsplash, cabinets, and much more! They are very professional and do good work. Ben Reed is very personable and everyone there is great. They quote you competitively. It’s clear that they have a very high standard with their customers. I highly recommended them in all respects.

It was excellent! They were outstanding. Everything they did, they did perfectly. They were on time and there were no extra costs. I was very happy with the service.

The estimate and consultation was free. Ben was the one who came out for the estimate and he was really nice and polite. I went with another company because it was a higher bid than what I wanted and I was still contemplating other designs. I appreciated that Ben got back to me with a bid even though it took longer than I expected. It took a few weeks.

It took a long time for him to draw up the plans and he didn’t have any vision for the bathroom. He just did like a stock drawing with a quality I could have done myself using computer software. He spent more time on the kitchen than the bathroom and I specifically told him I was looking to do the bathroom in the coming months and the kitchen much later. I would not recommend them and I didn’t use their services.
