Description of Work: I needed a potpourri of projects to be completed in my home. Reid's guys installed a new vanity, built a window seat, put up light fixtures, installed wainscoting and wood trim/baseboard/chair rails.

Description of Work: Remodeled the guest bathroom including replacing the tub/shower combo with tile and a new tub, removing a partial wall separating the toilet from the vanity area, tiling the floor, installed a new vanity. Found the vent was not up to code, corrected this. | |Unfortunately, the worker(s) assigned to the job quit one day in, so the owner needed to perform the work. As he was busy overseeing the other jobs underway and bidding on future jobs, he could devote just a few hours a day to finishing my project. The work was of high quality, just didn't get finished as quickly as I expected.

Description of Work: Company came and smoothed walls and ceiling with dry wall compound to prep for painting. They did a great job with it and even my painter commented on how nicely it was applied. | |Great company and very responsive.

Description of Work: Our work included repairs to exterior siding, a roof eave, and roof flashings. He also taped, finished, textured and primed several cracks on our interior walls and ceiling, all in an 8-hours-long job (split over several days), with superb workmanship.

Description of Work: I had a patio door that led nowhere and a patio overlooked by a window. Reid construction installed a new patio door leading to the patio and took the old window and installed it where the old door had been.

Description of Work: They removed damaged subfloor and studs, installed new blocking between the joists and installed new subfloor.

Description of Work: Ben Reid Construction and Maintenance has been doing a lot of work for us, and we could not be more pleased. So far, the work that they’ve completed is: install lighting on the patio, install an outdoor electrical outlet, installed laminate flooring in more than half the house (they’ll be finishing the rest of the house with it, too), installed a pocket door (and did a great job of putting up new sheetrock and refinishing the wall that they’d needed to take out for the installation), installed a toilet, installed grab bars, replaced a faucet, installed three small skylights, and installed a new front door. Right now they’re turning two very small bedrooms into one larger room. This has involved removing one door to the hallway, removing a hall cupboard, repairing the ceiling and wall that they’d had to tear up, building a new closet and installing the old hall cupboard next to it, installing two lighted ceiling fans, and installing three new electrical outlets. They will be repainting the room and putting down some more of the laminate flooring. They have put up plastic curtains to contain the dust – to keep it from getting into the rest of the house -- and they’ve put down good protection for our new flooring in the hallway. We have them lined up to do the following other jobs: install a shower pan and shower surround in one bathroom, put grab bars in that shower, then install a tub surround and shower in the other bathroom where there is now only a tub. In another bedroom, they will put in another lighted ceiling fan, put in the rest of the laminate flooring, and, in the kitchen, shore up our loosening cupboards. There are some other, smaller projects and maintenance that I’ve been thinking of having this team do, also. Except for making some raised bed garden boxes, Ben doesn't yet know about these. LOL!! Ben and his team are real professionals! Ben has offered very good suggestions, which have helped us a lot, since we know absolutely nothing about materials or products. He is very cost conscious, environmentally aware, and knows how to re-purpose materials. All of the members of his crew are experienced, hard working, conscientious, skilled, good at problem solving, courteous, pleasant to have in our home, and they clean up well after themselves. Ben and they are team in every good sense of the word.

Description of Work: Damaged rotting deck along the entire back of my house at first we thought it would be a repair job however after reviewing the job all of the under part of the deck was rotten out. However Reid Construction reviewed the project with me and and only added the minimum cost to complete the job an this resulted in a completely rebuilt deck. They also re-used the top redwood good pieces of lumber in order to save cost. They arrived on time each day and kept me update on the project I am please with the work.
