Description of Work: Initially, I liked Lou when I had him come for the estimate. I needed a "good neighbor fence" taken down and rebuilt and it was a lot of work to get the next door neighbor to agree to pay his half. While I did all the work in contacting fence people and got the job set up and done, and Lou never met the neighbor (house is a rental) for SOME reason, Lou seemed very concerned about this neighbor...in fact, said at one point, we want to make him happy, and he was not joking. Then the 2nd day (2 day project), I went outside to ask if all was OK, and Lou's partner was very friendly but Lou was not!I have no idea why, but I needed some fence work recently and did not call him this time.

+ -1 moreWe ended up not going with him, only because the neighbor who was paying half ended up buying the materials that same day and did it himself. We probably saved a slight amount of money but our fence, although adequate, is not professional. I think the neighbor realizes that the small savings was not worth all the hard work he put in. I'm sure we would have been better off with Lou's. He was a very nice man, really looked at what was needed, and answered all questions. Took him 10 minutes to do estimate and was under what we had imagined it would be.
Description of Work: Showed up early the next day for an astimate which we thought was very competative according to others who have had fence work done in the last year

+ -1 moreLou was courteous and promptly arrived with his assistant. He had explained it was a 2 day joband quot; one day to remove old fence and put in new posts, and haul away old fence, and the next day to pick up new materials and build the fence. While there he fixed my gate so it would open and close without dragging on the ground. He also show me and broken gate post and for an extra amount ( less than if he came back to do that separately) he replace that post as well. I would recommend him.
Description of Work: Took down old, rotted, falling down fence and replaced posts and built new fence.

+ -1 moreI was very happy with the material as well as the work that was performed. Lou was flexible with scheduling, punctual and when he finished the job he cleaned up well. Highly recommend his work!
Description of Work: Lou replaced a rotted fence-post, kickboard, and top runner. He had to completely disassemble that section of the fence and then put it all back together. Additionally, there were loose vertical boards all over the place which he secured. My final ask to Lou was that anything he replaced and/or repaired conformed to the existing style.

+ 0 moreThy have great kick board, they cut well, and they clean up after themselves. They are very careful about everything. They use good wood. They space, sand, and measure everything very carefully.
Description of Work: They put up a back and side fence and built my deck.
