Call My Guy!

As before, the men worked efficiently and professionally - the results were jobs perfectly done. All areas were clean when they left.

My mother moved into The Meadows, and I wanted someone on hand to help with her book cases and any small problems that arose. It turned out that the movers were late and unpredictable and the crew was flexible and courteous. They stayed through and helped her with many many small issues that arose through the moving process. The book cases are fine, with cut outs for outlets and stable against the wall; the TV and internet work and the guys made new shelves for the bookcase that did not have shelves anymore because the movers lost them. They also helped with unpacking which was huge for her - not a service that everyone will need, and probably too pricey for the skill level, but the fact that they were there and willing to help made all the difference in the world! Bravo! I was really impressed by their good natured helpfulness, professionalism and follow through - they really went out of their way to make my mother's place functional as soon as possible, and made her feel that she had support and help when her family could not be there or could not do what she needed. My mom has their number, and will call them again when she needs this kind of work.

My husband was unable to get the outdoor lights to work properly so he contacted Stephan. Stephan came over and we realized that a new unit was needed in the flower bed in the front of our house. He went to several stores to get the correct unit and he kept us informed as to what was required and when he would be able to come back out to install the new unit, which happen to be the next day. The lights are working perfectly now. Stephan is always very professional and easy to work with. My husband and I would not hesitate to call him again on any of our projects. He has come to our home on several occasions and has worked on electrical and plumbing repair problems. He has given me some great ideas on several of my home improvement projects. I would say that Stephan is our contactor/handyman for life!

It all went smoothy and if they ran into a problem they solved it. Left everrything neat and clean, good job. Stephan and his crew are great to work with.

I placed my first call on Monday October 7th. The owner returned my call on Wednesday and set up an appointment for a gentlemen to come out and look at the work to be done so I could get an estimate. On Saturday, October 12, the young man arrived promptly, looked over the work, I gave him my email and he said I would receive an estimate. On Wednesday, October 16, I called the owner to see about the estimate and he said he would be home in 15 minutes and he would send the estimate. Today is October 19th and I have yet to receive an estimate or a phone call. This was not very professional. Needless to say, I would not do any business with them based on the way I was treated, nor would I recommend them to anyone.

Stephan Butler of Call My Guy and his assistant, Eric, responded to my call very promptly. They started the work on the day agreed upon and worked efficiently and professionally for 2 days resulting in a beautiful job, well done. They arrived on time each day and cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. They were polite and knowledgable, always answering our question and making suggestions when appropriate. We plan to hire them again to do some other jobs in our house and would certainly recommend them to others.

Chris did a great job, was quick, clean and professional. Unfortunately, the original rails and rail holders are no longer available and the new ones I had were not of the same durability. They jumped again soon after he left. The great news...he was there first thing the next morning and it was back on track. We determined I would need a sturdier system, so I decided to purchase that and make an appointment to have them installed along with several other projects on their next visit. Yes! I will definitely use them again.

This service is excellent. Very experienced in all facets of the services we requested. Highly professional. Very good about cleaning up after each job. Very thoughtful when entering our house - always took shoes off! I have absolutely no issues or complaints about the services provided to date.

The repairs went smoothly. He solved problems creatively and efficiently for a wide range of projects, from small ones to moderate sized ones. I feel he has a great attitude and responsive customer service.

When we first contacted Call My Guy, we had a long list of home repair items to address, but we were also looking for someone we could trust and count on down the road for help taking care of our home. Stephan and the Call My Guy team delivered on both counts. They marched right through our repair list, with good suggestions and ideas along the way., and have continued to work with us on more projects. They are honest, responsive, professional, and their work is always first rate. They listen, are diligent, and pay attention to the details, especially when it comes to clean up. We think of the Call My Guy team as our home repair and renovation problem-solvers; they help us fix what needs fixing and contribute creative ideas for making our home a great place to live.

Came quickly when called about the job. Told me that what I had planed would cost me one h*** of a lot more and showed me a better way to fix the issue. An intelligent, cost effective, and right way! Most contractors might have added time, cost, and picked up on my ambitions... Stephan Butler (Call My Guy) operated with high and exacting standards. His people were excellent crafts/tradesmen and did a fantastic and reasonably priced piece of work for me. I would/will call him again when I need this kind of work done. This outfit is NOT FLY BY NIGHT!!! What a great experience calling in someone as ethical, honest, and capable! In the past I've been stung by builders, contractors, and the like more than once. I'm not a builder and tend to trust professionals as it should be. I sure didn't misplace my trust with "Call My Guy". If I build another house or need work done, I know who I'm calling! These guys can do remodels, fixes, and ground up everything.... The people are seasoned and professionals... Great work!!! Quality work!!! Totally impressed. Can't say enough about this company! In a time where there are a lot of half arsed "builders" operating out there, nice to know there's one I'm sure is straight up... CALL MY GUY!!!

Stephan at Call My Guy! and his staff have been extremely responsive. Greg stopped by my home on his way home from work the same day I called. I was actually delighted that he responded so quickly. When he arrived he said he just wanted to check out what the problem might be. No talk about cost. After investigating the pipe hammering for a few minutes, he came up with a couple of possible solutions, from cheap to more extensive work. He tried the cheap solution first. That was replacing an inexpensive part in the toilet tank. He bought a part and stopped by again the next day to install it. It worked right away. No more hammering, it is as quiet as can be. (I had previously spoken with a plumbing company who suggested a solution over the phone for $295. I was not convinced and did not have them come.) That same day Greg also brought a ladder allowing him access to the part of my roof where the tiles were misaligned. He put them in the correct position and that was it. (I had actually called a roofing company a few days before who required a minimum fee of $125 just to stop by and check it out. I held off, and I am glad that I did.) A couple of days after the repair, I received their invoice via email along with a separate receipt for the replacement part and the work performed. I was impressed by the clarity and thoroughness of their documentation and it was a joy to pay them via Paypal. In all seriousness, I have never experienced such professional, prompt, kind handyman service before. I highly recommend Stephan and Greg to anyone looking for support on home projects big or small. They are "My Guys" now, for sure.

They quoted me a price that was entirely too high. They never responded back to me after I expressed I thought the price was too high. I was upset.

I called and spoke to Mr. Butler and he indicated he could do my job and would get back to me. He never called me back.

Anytime I need a handyman for a little or a lot of work I contact Stephan at Call My Guy. He is one of the most professional, honest, thorough, and reliable individuals I have had the pleasure to work with under any circumstances. I will hire him again.

Scheduling is not a problem with Stephan, and he and his crew did arrive on time for the project and finished the project within the timeline as well. Communication was also quick and easy. I emailed precisely what items needed to be work on along with pictures of the property. Unfortunately, he brought an 6-8 person crew the day of (which he charges $75 per hour PER PERSON) for work to be done. This was totally unnecessary. I had them paint 2 bedroom, a living roomI had needed closet doors for my master bedroom which equated to $2,400 of work??? I got charge for replacing two light bulbs (that I purchased) for $75. I could go on. Their price is expensive. Try to use them only in emergencies.

I am very satisified with my end result, and would definitely use Call My Guys again. The overall experience was a little fragmented, but also understandable. My first contact was with Stephan, who is the owner. My work was actually done (and follow up calls from) by Chris. There did seem to be some communication lost between my original conversation with Stephan and the follow up with Chris, but we got the job scheduled fairly quickly. I was told the job should take about 3 to 4 hours, and no longer than one day. It ended up being 7 hours, over two days. The first day Chris had to run out to the store once, which took an hour, and then by 1pm he mentioned it was too hot to work any further in the attic. I arranged to be home the second day, he came back and worked for a bit and again needed to go to the store, again taking about an hour. When he was ready to leave, Chris mentioned I would get a bill from Stephan for the work. he also said I would not be charged for the entire 7 hours as he was gone twice for a lenghty time, and I should expect a bill for 5 hours. More than quoted, but ok, these things happen. I only wish he would have told me when he got on site and started to get into the job that it would be quite a bit longer than anticipated; as each hour ticked by, and then he came back a second day I had no idea what this was going to end up costing me. When I received an email invoice, I was charged for the full 7 hours, as well as 1) markup fees and 2) cost for materials. Neither was mentioned to me up front; the costs were nominal and I think reasonable, I just wish I would have known up front. I emailed Stephan, he was great and he corrected the invoice down to the 5 hours Chris quoted. Overall - I can tell this is a small company that is growing and they are trying to get their rhythm down. A little confusion about scheduling, getting calls returned, cost, size of job........again growing pains, I think. However, everyone was professional, friendly and easy to work with. The quality of the job was excellent - and when I had a problem, Stephan was quick to respond and correct. I would definitely do business with them again, would highly recommend - and think when the kinks of growing are worked out they will be very smooth to work with in the future! And it is nice to do business with a smaller company where the owner clearly cares about the customer.........that came through very clearly to me. Thank you! .

Two guys from Call MY Guy, Chris and Mike did a great job on these projects. Extremely pleasant to work with and very tidy. They did excellent work and made sure they cleaned up after they finished. I would definitely use this company again. The owner, Stephan came out earlier to do the quote and had some very good ideas for us in the future.

He said he could meet me at 9 AM the next day. Before 9 AM, he called and asked for after lunch, and I asked for what time after lunch, he didn't give me a time, he said when he finished his project he would call and he never called. I called him and he never called me back. I will never call him again.

I have contacted the owner Stephan and he has come out but I have not received his estimate yet. He was professional, courteous, and on time. I asked that he call me when he left since it was early in the morning so I would know his arrival time and he did call. I am looking forward to his estimate and to working with him.

Stephan Butler [ Call My Guy ], was hired off of Angie's list. WOW , what a stroke of good luck.!!! First TRY at Angie's List - to do some minor indoor remodeling. The job got larger, because Stephan was so very good, AND WE WANTED TO SELL THIS PROPERTY.!! Just as his Co., was finishing the inside work, which included all new light / electric switches, some new fixtures - all new faucets, and repairs to the disposal system which hadn't performed right since we bought the home 24 years ago. He also did painting, made a special cover for the close drop, and even repaired some furniture .......................And then we got hit by a dishonest inspection - set up by a Real Estate agent, and Stephan had to move outside the house - Tear it apart to find the Inspector's Report was FALSE. We have filed a written COMPLAINT with the State of California, about this Inspector, and expect to have it acted upon. Now, Stephan and his Co., had to put the house back together again, fix all the rotted areas, and if we hadn't had enough trouble with that awful PEST Inspector and Real Estate Agent, a hard rainstorm knocked down part of the retaining wall behind the house, and we had Stephan replace about 50 feet of the old wall [ which was very unattractive ] with a nice new wall which really adds value. They were reliable. They solve things creatively and really try to do thing efficiently. I can trust them. I do not have to be there, concerned that they do a good job. They actually supervised the tree cutting for me.
