The Specialists All Natural Carpet Cleaning

"Courteous", "responsive" and "professional" don't begin to describe The Specialists. They were fast, nimble and effective, and when we got home with the new cat, all was well. It even took me a while to get a check to them, and they could not have been more patient and understanding. I'd call them again in a New York minute!

Wow, I just got my carpet cleaned by The Specialists and they were absolutely outstanding. I had a long-standing dog urine issue that I had tried to resolve multiple times without success, including hiring another carpet cleaning company (who came out twice and really seemed to try, but did not succeed in getting the smell out), replacing the carpet pad, and cleaning it multiple times myself with a whole cartload of enzymatic cleaners. The Specialists had an awesome system to get the carpet really, truly clean by driving water and some kind of foaming cleaner down deep into the carpet and then sucking it back out with a special machine. This actually removed the urine instead of just laying more and more chemicals on top of it. And as a bonus it was really fun to watch all the dirty water come sucking out of the carpet. The price was very reasonable and if I had gone to them first, I would have saved hundreds on services and products that didn't work. They were also super professional, called the day before to confirm, called to let me know when they were on their way, were careful about not letting my pets out, and were polite and friendly. I will definitely use them again for general carpet cleaning (they have all natural cleaners which is great since I have pets and am sensitive to chemical smells) and refer them to friends. If I could give them higher than an A I would!

James was a great communicator. He was kind, conscientious of price and wanted to do a good job-he did.

Did a great job. Very friendly. They had to cancel the first appointment due to illness, but really worked hard to get us another time slot quickly, and they worked late to accommodate us for our rebooked appointment. When they left, the furniture looked like new and didn't have any chemical odor while drying. I'll definitely use them in the future and highly recommend them.

It was a bit pricey but I have never seen a process like this. I was really impressed with the detail he was putting into the service before he even started on the general cleaning. He was also very friendly with great customer service.

I had The Specialists do a thorough cleaning of carpets in Nov. 2012 on a home I had purchased (review done previously). I was so impressed with their work and professionalism that when I recently needed spot cleaning of some areas I contacted them again. James pre-treated and cleaned an area where my dog had urine and loose stool stains. Once again I was very pleased with his work. Joy contacted me the day before the appt. to remind me that James would be coming and on the day of the appt. she again called to let me know that he was on his way. For future carpet cleaning, they are definitely my "go to" provider.

Excellent, professional service from this small team. They cleaned my very dirty upstairs and downstairs carpets, stairs, and linoleum in the kitchen. The service was performed on the Saturday before Christmas, and they really made my Christmas break much more enjoyable for me and my house guest. Would definitely use them again.

James was delayed in his arrival, but I received a call both from him and from Joy. Still, he arrived within the time window given. He was very clear about what could and could not be expected during cleaning of a stained wool rug. It was a big improvement, nonetheless. He also did the stairs and hallway of our home, along with one bedroom. I was very satisfied with the quality and value of the service. I believe James went above and beyond to provide quality service. Thanks!

Joy and James were excellent and did a fantastic job. They called the day of to give me an more exact arrival time, gave me an estimate and were able to do the work the same day. They were very warm and obviously enjoy and take pride in their work. They took the time to explain their cleaning process and the cleaning supplies they used. Their website is well laid out, easy to navigate, and informative. They were the last estimate I got of 3, and though the priciest I decided to go with them based on their professionalism and ability to explain things in a way that made me confident that they would do a superior job.

James arrived promptly and was very courteous and careful of my newly painted walls and corners. He worked very efficiently and the carpets, as old as they were, looked better than I expected.

James was on time, very reasonably priced, finished the job quickly. My carpet has no more spots and looks brand new.

James and his staff bent over backwards to accommodate our tight schedule. We needed them to come in short notice and he came trhough for us. He was very clear as to what he could and could not do so we were not expecting a lot. We have some areas of hight traffic that includes two labrador retriever mx and where they like to sit, there was a really dark area. Not anymore! Though the areas to clean were not large, they were still a challenge. We are moving to a new home and we are calling them again to clean the carpets before we get there!

The Specialist were great. The arrived on time and explained the process thoroughly. We wanted a nature cleaning process because we have two dogs. One dog licks the carpet for weeks after it is cleaned, which we believe causes seizures. We were hoping that a natural cleaning method would help. So far he has not been licking the carpets since we had them cleaned. Plus, my wife who is VERY particular has made several comments on how clean the carpets are and how much better they look than with previous carpet cleaners. I VERY HIGHLY recommend the Specialist for cleaning yrou carpets.

It was done quickly, before guests and new beds arrived. They were fantastic to work with, and exceeded my expectations. I will definitely use them again!

The Specialists is a husband and wife team. They were polite and prompt. They explained their cleaning process and what would be needed for my rugs. I appreciated all the information. I had soda spilled on the rug causing dirt to adhere to these areas. On the small rug there were pet stains. They were able to clean everything except for a couple or urine stains on my small rug. The stains had been set in too long. They were prompt in returning the rugs and reset all my furniture on the rug. I will use them again.

I have a health condition and wanted to have our carpets cleaned without any extra chemicals being added to our home. After some research, we contacted The Specialists as they are a "green" company. My phone conversations with the company were pleasant and we set up a date for the estimate/cleaning. Because of a change in his schedule for the day, James was able to arrive earlier than planned. After accepting the estimate, he went to work... and work he did! He was entirely professional and I was very pleased with the way my carpets looked after the job was complete. Not only were my carpets clean, but there was no odor of chemicals. In fact, there was no odor at all. James also provided us with shoe booties so that we could move about the house while the carpet dried. My husband was also very pleasantly surprised at how good the carpets look as they are about 17 years old. I would not hesitate to call The Specialists again!

James answered my call immediately and, thankfully, because he had a cancellation, he was able to come to my home that same day. I was not sure if I would hire him just for one room and the stairs to take care of the very stinky stains or if I would go ahead and hire him to take care of the entire house. Based on his quote I went ahead with the entire house which included 3 large bedrooms, an exercise room, the master bedroom, the master closet, the living room and 18 stairs (he charges by the stair). James was quick, thorough and pleasant. My carpets looked great but the smell didn't come out the first time so James came by again (no charge) on Labor Day to treat the stains. Fortunately the second treatment did the trick...no more smell. He said that he would keep coming back until the smell was gone. His wife called a few days later to make sure we were happy with the service. I would recommend The Specialists and plan to hire them again the next time I need my carpets cleaned.

My carpets had not been cleaned for over 5 years as I was concerned about products that attract more dirt or are toxic. I chose The Specialists All Natural Carpet Care after reading reviews on Angie's List and my expectations were exceeded. The owners, James and Joy, were knowledgeable, enthusiastic and hard-working and got my carpets, sofa and area rug sparkling clean. I was very impressed that when the job was finished there was no residue in the carpet or harsh odor in the air. I believe the price was a good value for this service and look forward to doing business with The Specialists in the future.I

Absolutely the best carpet cleaning experience we've ever had! With three children, we were in great need of a deep cleaning...James did exactly what he said he would do at a very fair price. It is refreshing to hire a business owner who works hard and ethically. We are very particular about quality work and service. From now on, we won't use anyone else!

Fabulous. James & Joy are the dynamic duo when it comes to quality carpet care. We've used them for several years and have always been extremely satisfied. They call when they are on their way. are very conscientious to take great care of our home, are experts at what they do, and they use all "green" products. They are the most trustworthy and likeable service providers we have ever used. We had a spot on our carpet that we'd been told by others that couldn't be removed; but James did his magic - & spot gone! Call them - you won't be disappointed.

James was exceptionally prompt in returning my call. Set a date to give an estimate as soon as was possible for my schedule. Arrived on time and provided a quote along with a complete explanation of the process he uses to clean and in the case of one room treat for pet stain and odor. He was professionally dressed and very professional in his process of measuring, and providing a quote. He did not "sales pressure" in anyway; i.e. "If you order today you'll get 10% off". None of that. His vehicle and equipment where clean and in like new condition. He arrived on time and ready to go. Worked very hard at completing the job. My wife and I were extremely pleased with the quality and price of "The Specialists". Highly recommend.

This was my first experience using Angie's List and I was so pleased with the results! You can be sure I will use the source again! James arrived on time and was very friendly and personable but still being very professional. I have a large dog and light colored carpet so you can imagine how spotted/discolored it can get. I also have friends who visit with small dogs that occasionally spot my carpet. I usually have my carpets cleaned 3-4 times a year but they never look as good as they do now. James said it should last considerably longer than my previous cleaners. One thing that made me particularly happy was the drying time -- many hours faster than previous cleaners. I was also pleased with the cost for the service which was less than I've ever paid before, for the same amount of carpet.

They did an excellent job. Very professional and carpets look great. They use non toxic solutions which really do the job and make you feel so much better about what is coming into your home. Highly recommended!
