Everything went perfectly. Filip and another worker were available within a day and offered to connect the range top as well. The total cost was $200.

I made three appointments to have him come and look at my project, and he never showed for any of them. Totally wasting my time, he kept postponing, and on the third time, when he didn't show up or call or text I didn't contact him back! Terrible service!

Filip and his crew did an excellent job. We are very pleased with his work, and we will definitely use him again. I normally don't write up a review, but I am making an exception for them. They were not only reasonable on pricing, but very much of a perfectionist which i appreciate. Again, I could not be happier with their work. I highly recommend Superior Tile.

Filip did an awesome job with both of our bathrooms and our kitchen. We totally remodeled both of our showers and bathroom floors in the bathroom. We also had him re-do our counter tops and backsplash in the kitchen. He was able to provide referrals for plumbers, electricians, etc. It made our projects very easy. He was always prompt, hard working and cleaned up his mess at the end of the day. He has an amazing attention to detail and a good eye for what looks good. He was very easy and nice to work with. I would recommend him for your next project!

Great, well beyond our expectations. Filip is very responsive, returning our calls and text messages with in minutes. He is very professional and does a grade A+ job. We feel very lucky in using him and not the other tile installer we contacted. Plus, the price was very reasonable.

This review is long overdue. Filip from Superior Tile is a true professional and perfectionist. His pricing is very reasonable. The first project that I had Filip work on was my fireplace. It couldn't have turned out any better, it is gorgeous. Whenever someone comes through my front door they all comment on how beautiful my fireplace looks. I also hired Filip to remodel my master bathroom. Again, he did and absolutely beautiful job. He takes his time and makes sure everything looks perfect. Needless to say that I am very happy with his work and would hire him again. I highly recommend him.

In a most excellent outcome, Filip remodeled our upstairs master bath in a work week’s time. Filip and crew were mindful to lay drop cloths from the work area, down the stairs, and to our front door. He ran the complete scheduling of the demo, hot mop, and necessary plumbing adjustment (I used his plumber) processes like clockwork, and in the sheer synchronicity of one another. He does not work with electrical, nor install shower doors, nor drywall, nor paint; however, Filip did provide me with sound contact information enabling me to wicker in experienced professionals in those trades who were both responsive and reasonably priced. I absolutely love my modern master bath now and cannot stop peering in to see such beauty, such life, breathed into a formerly, troubling space. I highly recommend Filip and will definitely call on him again for future tile design.

It went great

Filip went the extra mile to ensure that we got what we wanted. Kitchen backsplashes were laid out first on the floor in multiple ways to ensure the look was what we wanted. He very efficiently utilized the tile in the master bathroom backsplash since we could not reorder more tile and it looked like we might run out, but he made it work. On my front steps he put in a lot of extra work to get the front edge detail to look perfect. We would gladly hire him again and recommend him to others.

Awesome Superior Tile Design redid Awful Tile Work. 5-star remodel contractor on Angie’s List and Home Advisor gave us awful tile work for bathroom floor and shower, but offered us remedial effort at our cost. We hired Filip, a tile specialist, instead of a general contractor to rip out the shower and start over. Filip is an awesome tiler—a true professional that knows how to do it right and uses the right tools to make it come out right. The waterproof foam tile backer boards were perfectly fit to each wall in one piece and the tiles are perfectly flat and evenly spaced with 1/16 in. grout lines. The cement shower pan was perfectly troweled with a carpenter level to the specified slope and the small floor tiles were perfectly applied between the wall and the drain. Can we ask for more? Yes, he gave us a good price. The following is only for your information, if you do not hire Filip. The 5-star contractor used skilled subcontractors to install the hot mop waterproofing for shower pan, to install the frameless shower door, and to install the granite vanity countertop. But he used his son and nephew to do most of the work, including the shower enclosure and bathroom floor tiles, carpentry, plumbing, and cabinet and fixture installation. They had the skills of a general handyman. They torched the wall studs without heat shields while connecting plumbing, applied caulk with visible gaps and sloppiness, and used screws to hold down the corners of floor tiles so they could avoid having to level the subfloor, and they left excess grout to permanently dry onto the tiles. Worst of all, their tile skills were awful. They only used their eyes and a hand tool—a masonry trowel to form the cement shower pan and a notched trowel to apply mortar for the tiles. The results were: 1) wavy sink bowl shower floor that is far from meeting minimal good practice requirements slope and depth; 2) uneven installation of small shower floor tiles that were very uncomfortable to stand on; 3) big 1’x2’ tiles that are not flat to the shower wall; 4) shower head fixture located to one side of control valve instead of at center; 5) tile backer boards installed with ½” gaps that will allow water to flow to the ceiling below if the grout at the wall corners ever leaked; 6) big 1’x2’ floor bathroom tiles are not flat and level to the floor (every tile is tipped forward or backward or to one side or the other), 7) they leave hard to remove dried grout on the tiles, and they do not clean up when they leave. What we learned: Don’t assume that the highest cost contractor is the best, clearly specify quality and performance requirements in the contract that can be measured or ascertained, don’t inspect until they have cleaned up to your satisfaction (it should look showroom new), don’t sign off the contract and make the final payment until you have verified that all the requirements were met. We contacted several companies for the tiling work and selected Filip. We appreciated his professionalism and responsiveness to our requirements. Filip responded with suggestions that resolved topics when we were uncertain of how to proceed, and he was "right on" every time. He and his crew member were congenial and task-focused, and it was even pleasant to have them in the house. They took great care to protect the house from the dust inherent in tile work, and they cleaned up extraordinarily well -- mindful all the time of keeping dust to a minimum wherever in the house they worked. The master suite used a complex tile pattern, which he executed wonderfully. He even raised the tile so that it met the wooden floor height exactly. His work was high quality, he performed on time and on budget, and he listened to our thoughts and goals. When the counters get replaced, we will have Filip back to do the additional work. We recommend him 100%. (We still walk into those tiled rooms and admire how beautiful the floors look. Thank you, Filip!)

He responded quickly to my call, came the same day to give a bid and started the job the following day. He is very clean, covered everything and clean up after he was done.

Before singing his praises, a word about the previous installation. I was not there for the installation. Instead of Angies List I relied on 3 previous customers for reports of work. The contractor used the wrong thinset to set the backer board, doubled the spacing of the screws and did not use a modified thinset on the porcelain. The only thing that held the tile down after a year was the grout in the joints. As a retired architect I am embarrassed. Filip was responsive to my request, brought images of his work, offered contacts other than Angies List and provided detail of what he would do and the products he would use. I explained I would be hovering and picky and knew ceramic tile during 40 years as an architect. He covered the path to the room and removed all existing materials without dust or debri getting into the rest of the home. The existing tile was removed with a small wedge and by hand (nothing bonded to the back of the tile) We saved 95% of the tile for replacement. He used top of the line products as I had requested. He provided information ahead of time so I could research the materials and showed journeyman knowledge of how to use them. He answered every question I had and showed up promptly for the three days it took to re-do the room. When he cleaned up nothing remained to show he was there. I wish I had run across him while practicing years ago. I would recommend him without reservation. Just one last bit of advice. Research what you want thoroughly. Ask many questions. I never met a contractor good in mental telepathy. Never assume, ask and discuss and put it in writing to satisfy yourself.

Filip answered my phone call on a Sunday and was at the house on Monday for the estimate which was emailed to me later that evening. His price was reasonable but his responsiveness was exceptional. Filip floated the shower and the finish tile work was wonderful. I was a tile installer 30 years ago but just can't / wont install tile anymore. I demand high end work and Filip did not disappoint. I'm very pleased and I highly recommend.

Filip was very responsive to my request for bid, punctual and friendly upon arrival. Although he was currently overbooked, he worked with us to make sure out bathroom would be taken care of quickly. (We only have the one toilet so this was super important!) He was open to installing a style of tile we purchased which was a little out of the ordinary and rose to the challenge well. Most importantly to me, he asked frequently for my opinion and permission to ensure the results I wanted. He was honest and fair in his assessments and suggestions. Very satisfied with his work and experience as a whole.

I used Superior Tile Design for a recent bathroom remodel and could not be more pleased by the results. I used 3x6 honed carrera marble in about 100 sq. ft. tub surround. Filip took the time to ensure he was mixing tiles from different boxes, not using any tiles that were miscolored or otherwise defective and took the time to ensure the tile pattern was very random looking. The lines are extremely straight and level and the walls are perfectly smooth. I scheduled the cabinet installer in advance and Filip stayed until 8:00 one night to ensure the floors were completely done, so nothing would be delayed. He scrubbed the floors, walls, hallyway, and entryway when the job was completed. I have another bathroom project planned in the near future and I will definately be calling Superior Tile Design again.

We'll probably have them do some granite work but we're not ready for that. They're good.

HE WORKED VERY CLEANLY AND WITH FLUIDITY OF A SEASONED CRAFTSMAN; OFFERED OPTIONS FOR SOLUTIONS AROUND WINDOWS AND EDGES FOR BEST AESTHETICS OF TILE PATTERNS AND TILE CUTS; THE FAT MUD PREP WORK WAS VERY CLEAN AND COMPLETELY FLAT; CREATED EXCELLENT DRAINAGE TAPER IN SHOWER PAN; WORKED LONG HOURS ON CONSECUTIVE DAYS; HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONABLE; I WOULD HIRE HIM AGAIN FOR OTHER TILE PROJECTS

We are very pleased with Filip's overall job. The natural stone tiles in our bathrooms are a beautiful work of art! The granite is cut precisely to fit our cabinets. He has a respectable work ethic! He was on time at the job, and was very considerate of our home and worked neatly and cleanly! My wife and I are clean freaks and he highly impressed us! He also provided us detailed information on how to clean and maintain both the tile and granite. We highly recommend his professional work to anyone who is looking for a honest, knowledgeable, clean contractor!
