Joe called before he arrived. He was right on time. He diagnosed the problem after a thorough assessment.

Our refrigerator stopped working, and by afternoon, when the problem was detected, frozen food had begun to soften and ice was melting. It was important to get someone out to find the problem and fix it ASAP. I called several repair services that evening, left several messages, but got no response until the next morning. One of the responding companies was booked solid, but recommended Hudson Appliance Repair. Joe Hudson was able to schedule us in that morning, and arrived when he said he would. He quickly diagnosed the problem -- a shorted relay -- and replaced the part. He did a quick, clean, professional job, and got the refrigerator working. I'd definitely call him again with an appliance repair problem.

I contacted Joe Hudson yesterday afternoon to request his services in repairing our dishwasher. He called me back late afternoon that day to tell me that he would not be available till later because of another emergency and if that would be agreeable. I was thankful he called to let me know that he would be later than originally scheduled. He came out this afternoon and repaired the dishwasher in just 20 minutes. He knew exactly what the problem was based on our conversation the previous day. He had the replacement part in his truck and made a quick change out and tested the washer to my satisfaction.. Joe came to my house the next morning to see my dryer. He looked at it for about 1/2 hour and determined it was the plug.

Joe, the owner, called before arriving and arrived early. He was obviously well organized, neat, and efficient. He quickly dismantled the washer and tested it very thoroughly. As it happened, the washer was working well. He did several more tests to see why it had failed, but could not make it fail. He suggested it might be a bearing problem but told me how to deal with that and that it might not need repair. He did not try to sell me any repairs. In other words, he was helpful and patient and thoroughly knowledgeable, just what I hoped a repairman would be. His charge for the visit and work he performed was more than reasonable and probably less than a Kenmore repairman. I feel lucky to have finally found someone I can trust and will certainly use him again when needed
