Robert was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and punctual! I can see why he has many regular long-term customers. I'm fairly handy with tools so I think I'll be able install our new garage door opener myself. But if not, I will immediately call Robert and hire him. His fees are reasonable and he definitely knows what he is doing.

Robert was responsive and extremely knowledgable. He had most of the parts with him. He replaced both springs and reinforced a break in the door hardware on the spot. He then determined that the track needed replacing and didnt have that with him. He said he would return the next day to finish the job. He called me the next morning to confirm and showed up as promised. The price was extremely reasonable. He did everything he said he would and more. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of garage door repair. I will definitely keep his contact information should I ever need garage door repairs again.

garage door springs broke in the morning making door inoperable. Called Robert who promptly scheduled same day early afternoon appointment.. Promptly showed up at appointed time and replaced broken springs. His charges were fair and reasonable. I recommend him and will use him again if necessary.

It went great. I called on 9/16 and he came over within 2 hours. He did not have the parts because the doors are quite old and he came back the next day as promised and was prompt. He quickly repaired the doors which made me happy because I was going out of town for awhile and wanted it done before I left. I have used this person over the years and have always been very satisfied with his work and his prices. I have also referred him to others and they have also been very satisfied with both the work and the price.

I called for service and he showed up exactly one hour later as promised. Corrected remote issues, changed battery in external pad, reprogrammed vehicle door opener, and provided annual maintenance, greased rails and appropriate parts, checked door alignment. Armstrong (916-482-3159) has serviced my garage door since 2005. He's honest and direct which I appreciate as I am not the expert.

He came, looked at my door and informed me that he would try to fix it first before replacing the whole door. Which ended up working and it still works great today. He was so nice, I wanted to adopt him, very kind and even came back for a tune up and didn't charge me. I feel as if its not in his DNA to take advantage of people and it just seemed as if he was there to help more than anything!

He has very fair prices and came on a Sunday to do the job. He really knows what he's doing. He did it quickly and was done in about 2 hours.

Robert was a few minutes early which was good. One spring was clearly broken. He said he'd replace the one for $159, or we could replace both for $220. Assuming if one was old enough to break the other would soon follow, I opted for both springs to be replaced. After that was done, the door would not open all the way and there was a weird sound when trying to open it. Robert made it clear that he did not like Genie openers or, it seemed, working on them. However, he did look around and noticed a broken plastic sprocket. When I asked how much it would cost to fix, he said he didn't know but that he would research it and let me know. He called me the next day and told me that the only way to fix the broken plastic piece would be to replace the whole rail. He admitted that he had never done this before and that he would do it for $120.00. I researched reviews for my Genie and found that other consumers had the same problem with that darned plastic sprocket. I did not want to spend that much with the chance the plastic piece would break again so I will be getting a new opener instead.

I was happy with their work and the garage door is working fine.

Robert was very responsive and helpful as always and did not try and pressure me into spending more money. Arrive on time and completed the work earlier than expected. I've used him before and he is honest and trustworthy and does very good work. Can't go wrong with him.

I contacted Armstrong early on a Monday morning after discovering that I could not open my garage door. The owner, Robert Armstrong, made an appointment with me for early the same afternoon, giving me a one-hour window. He arrived as promised well within the one-hour appointment window, quickly diagnosed the problem as a broken spring, explained my options (simply replace the broken spring, or replace both springs new) and quickly and efficiently replaced the springs. I like that he explained a lot about garage door springs -- how they're rated for a certain number of cycles, how they can be affected by different loads, etc. I also liked that he was quick, responsive, and fixed my problem at a reasonable cost. I'd had the springs replaced by another garage door company about 9 years ago and not only did they not use the correct spring (resulting in premature failure) but they charged me twice as much as Armstrong did. Armstrong has earned my repeat business in the future! Be advised that Armstrong accepts payment only by cash or personal check. This was not a problem for me but could be for someone who wasn't prepared to pay in this manner.

Overall, it was a great experience. On top of replacing the broken rollers, the Armstrong Door representative noticed that my garage door also was in need of some lubrication. He took care of that, and gave me some information regarding how to maintain things myself in the future. This was my second time working with this company, and the next time that a problem arises, I will definitely be calling them again!

It went very well. Mr. Armstrong tried to fix the garage door but said it would be very expensive to replace a specific part. He did not charge us for the service call. We highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future.

Responsive on phone, 45' late for scheduled appointment. The door started sliding back by the next morning, so he had to come back out to re-adjust the springs and now it's working fine.

He was prompt and very helpful. He wanted to make sure I understood that a new garage door opener was not required at this time. Since I wanted to upgrade anyway, he gave me plenty of information so I could make a decision on which model I wanted before he gave me a final estimate. I added the request to install the old door opener on the smaller garage door on the day of the install and he was willing to do the additional work that day. He did a thorough clean up and made sure to do a full walkthrough of the remotes and controls for the new opener.

Robert did an excellent job of explaining why there was a problem and recommending a solution. As he set about rectifying the problem, he explained what he was doing every step of the way and in the end offered tips for preventive maintenance. I am very happy with the service and highly recommend Armstrong any service needs related to garage doors

very prompt service. Arrived as scheduled within 12 hours of phone call, on a Saturaday. Very knowledgeable and professional. We were overcharged by DOORMART previously by 200% and thankful that Robert is honest and reasonable in his charges.

Robert took that section off of the doors and took them to the shop to take out the old windows and replace with new ones. He returned within 2 hours and put the door panels back together good as new. The job was done quickly and with no problems.

Very good experience. Provided estimate over the phone, and then verified in person. He was flexible with the install date - necessary for us due to other construction activity. Cost exactly as quoted, no surprises, completely professional. I got several bids and they were all more or less the same price, but he had the best A.L. recommendation and was easy to work with due to the multiple visits for wiring.

We contacted Robert after our garage door came out of its tracks, resulting in broken and bent metal parts and a 16-foot wide roll-up residential garage door that was completely non-operational. With all the components that were damaged we feared that a major overhaul was in store, maybe even a new door. Instead, he set about repairing, straightening and readjusting everything. This included making adjustments for the mismatched springs that were installed a few years ago by another repair company. When he was done less than two hours later, the door was as good as new and actually opens and closes more smoothly and quietly than before. He carefully explained everything that he had done, and advised us to contact him if there were any problems. We are very satisified with his work!

Met Robert doing work for my neighbor who was pleased. He gave me est. I shopped doors and he picked up 16' paneled/windowed garage door I selected, installed with keypad remote and inside switch. Change was for looks and he was able to reuse my motor and rails. On time always, pleasant, reasonable pricing. Would definitely use again.
