+ -1 moreThe new lock works, but not as smoothly as the Baldwin, and doesn't have the cachet. The new lock also doesn't fit exactly, and there's now an extra dummy cover on the inside of the door at the bottom. I was charged $330 for the Schlage lock (about $130 if I bought it myself), so there was a $200 surcharge on the part, plus about $130 labor.
Description of Work: My Baldwin handset front entry lock thumb piece broke. AJC came out the same day, diagnosed the problem, but said they could not fix it and that it needed replacement. They suggested a Schlage replacement and replaced it the next day.

+ -1 moreOne individual showed up on Tuesday to re-key the 3 main house locks. The front door assembly was very tight after he finished so I asked him to make it looser. He was not able to finish in the time remaining. He rescheduled to the next day between 10 and noon and promised to call if they needed to reschedule. There was no call to reschedule to a later time. Two others showed up the next day around 5 pm and re-keyed the gate locks, replaced the outbuilding doorknob and opened the file cabinet.
Description of Work: Re-keyed 6 locks, installed new doorknob, opened locked file cabinet, and made 5 keys. The cost was higher than the original estimate because we asked for more locks to be re-keyed and one lock required replacement.

+ -1 moreTHEY DID A GOOD JOB. THEY FINISHED WITH THE LOCKS RATHER QUICKLY. THEY MEN THAT CAME OUT WERE VERY NICE. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE NEW LOCK.
Description of Work: THEY INSTALLED A NEW LOCK ON THE FRONT DOOR OF MY HOUSE.
