Everything being explained in the work needing to be done section...I immediately called Willits to find out why the Technician did not let us know he had arrived and was there and also what i needed to do to get the muddy water fixed. When the phone was answered since it was now going to be a 4th service request i asked to speak with a manager or supervisor just to simply explain my situation and see if maybe they might have suggestions or maybe be able to provide me with information as to the findings from the previous visits. I was met with the response..."First of all who are you" by the receptionist. Not the first time i felt she is annoyed by my call and just down right rude. She told me no one was available and would pass my contact info along to a gentleman named Ken. Meanwhile i still have muddy water coming out of my faucets and have no clue when or if Willitts is ever going to be able to or even at least advise me on what my next step would be to solve this situation. I am still waiting for a return phone call almost 24 hours later and still have no usable water coming out of my faucets. Frustrated by the lack of service, my father and i drained the pressure tank to clean it out as well as check to see if there were any obvious signs as to why muddy water was coming out of the faucet as well as to see if the water was being pumped from the well muddy or if it was occurring somewhere further down the line. Within about 20 minutes we were able to drain and clean out the pressure tank and turn the pump back on to find that i was pumping muddy water which is a much bigger issue then i can fix myself. As the homeowner/well owner it is absolutely unacceptable that this simple check was not done by the service technician from Willitts and if it had been done it is even more concerning that they never called to inform me of the issue. I have since called another company to come out and address the problem as i feel Willitts has forgotten they are a service based company and has failed on 3 separate attempts to find what took me 20 minutes and had been explaining to the company every time i called for service. ***PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED PHOTO OF WHAT IS COMING OUT OF MY FAUCET!!! this should verify my complaint and poor review is justified. I will say in the past i have not had any issues with Willitts and they are very timely in arriving for service calls (usually within 24 hours). My main source of concern is that they fail to update the homeowner/well owner as to what repairs are necessary and rather than do their due diligence in troubleshooting the problems they just look for a quick fix and over look other more concerning issues. I also want to point out that i do not know if this is an issue with the service technicians or the secretary receptionist because every time i would call i would do the best i could explaining the reason for the call and need for service. So either the message was not relayed correctly to the technician or the technicians failed to properly troubleshot the problem. Long story short I would like to think all service experiences are unique however because of mine with Willitts over the past few weeks i will no longer be using them for pump service needs.
Description of Work: Called on 4 separate occasions. First call was because my well was sucking air and i was not able to get any water. I called for service around 2 PM and a service technician arrived the next morning and found my well to be 144' with SWL of 105' and a PWL of 106'. This Service technician was able to drop the pump an additional 34' putting the pump at 140' and with a SWL of 110' it moved the PWL to 119' which seemingly solved the problem. I continued to watch the pump and pressure tank and within 2 weeks noticed that my pump was continually turning on and off, water throughout the house was muddy when it came out of the tap and i had a wet spot developing at the base of the pressure tank. I called again for service. The technician came out the next day found a broken pipe and repaired the issue as well as flushed the pressure tank and lines to take care of the muddy water. Again i checked the pressure tank the very next day following service and found that the valve that prevents water from from flowing out of the pressure tank back into the well was not working and i was still having issues with muddy water actually worse than before. I called again for service which brings us to today. When i called in today for service and tried to explain the situation to the receptionist/secretary or whoever answers the phone they seemed annoyed by my call and did not take the time to listen to the issues and could not give an expected arrival time for service as i told them i would like to speak with the technician to explain the situation and find out what my option where up to and including drilling a new well if necessary. The receptionist/secretary basically submitted the service request but seemingly did not pass on all of the issues that are occurring as the technician only addressed one of the two issues. Within a couple hours of my call for service a technician arrived (i was at work) and fixed the broken valve so the pressure tank wasn't flowing back into the well. My wife ran outside to try to get the service tech to call me so i could explain the dirty water situation and see if there was anything maybe I could do on my end or Willitts could do on their end to help fix the issue but the tech had already left yet again with no explanation as to what was done and why muddy water was coming out of the tap. **Please see "How Did It Go?" section for more info**
