K and M Glass installed a new windshield in my truck, but when they delivered it to me, they said that they found a flaw in the new one. I couldn't see it at all, but they ordered another new one and replaced it - at no charge. I appreciate their honesty; especially since I never detected the flaw and they could have gotten by with the first one and I wouldn't have known the difference.

I contacted Kand M Glass for a quote on replacing 9 windows in my home. We arranged a time for them to come and measure. I live in Fortuna (approx. 20 minutes from where Kand M is located). I was working at the time of the appointment, so I had someone waiting at my house with the instructions on which windows to show the contractor. The appointment was scheduled for 3pm today. At 3:45 the person I arranged to wait at my home contacted me and said that Kand M had not shown up. I called Kand M and explained that I had an appointment for 3PM and the contractor had not shown up yet. The man who answered the phone had an attitude problem. He replied with and quot;Yeah - he's not gonna make itand quot; and and quot;We will have to call you next week to rescheduleand quot;. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? He didn't even apologize. So I inconvenienced someone for a hour waiting for nothing and Kand M didn't even have the courtesy to call and say they weren't coming. I had to be the one to call them and was greeted with a bad attitude. If they call me next week, which I highly doubt (considering they are so great at calling people) I am definitely going to tell them where to go. They lost out on a job and now I’m telling all my friends and the world on Angie’s List how bad Kand M’s customer service is. I only selected $1.00 approximate cost of service because the site would not allow me to put zero.

HAPPY : )!!! Definately understand why K and M Glass has been in business for 60 years.
Description of Work: I was impressed with the prompt response I received from this company. They were friendly and knowledgeable. Wes and Robin took the time to help us find what we were looking for and were willing to customize at a competetive rate smiling genuinely the whole time. After we decided on the windows and screens for our home, the K & M Team placed the order, set a schedule and met that schedule all while being friendly and efficient. (not common in our area). After installation the crew cleaned up after themselves and followed up with appropriate warranties and paperwork. They even sent a hand written Thank you note. : ) signed by the owner letting us know how much they appreciated our business. So much better than all the computer generated impersonal notes of today. GREAT!!! Customer Service from start to finish.

Description of Work: this was in insurance windshield replacement. brought my 78 f250 in at the appointed time, this was a friday. they said should be done in 3-4 hours. I left. was gone about 1 hours, and recieved a call, to inform me that I had some rust starting to form under the windshield sealing area and needed to be repaired before a new windshield could be installed. I went to the location and checked the rust they were talking about, the said they needed to treat the rust, and would have to wait 24 hours for it to work, and since they did not work on saturdays, I would be able to pick my truck up on monday. I oked the repairs and left. I called back monday after noon to see if my truck was done, and they informed that the installer of my windshield went home sick and would not be able to finish my truck that day. I was a bit upset, and asked if they had other windshield installers, the said no. I then called later in the afternoon on tuesday, they said my truck was finished. I live 25 miles away, I found a ride to their location, paid my bill and left. on my way home I noticed windshield sealant all over the hood of my truck and a dent in the transition cover between the hood and windshield, the panel that the windshield wipers go thru. I call them from my cell phone, and asked for Wes, the person I delt with, I was told he was out, and asked if they could help me, I told the person on the phone, (which happened to be the installer) of what I have found, and was returning for them to look at. upon ariaval to the shop, Wes still was not there, I was ignored by the installer for at least 15 mins, finaly he call over a person named Robin, she was very courtious and niced, she inspected my truck and denied the dent from hapening their, but did ask the installer to wash off all the sealant from my truck, he was very p off about it, I am disabled and cannot wash my vehicles any more. but he was upset that he had to clean up his mess. robin then told me to go to a body shop and have the dent fixed, and send them the bill. I was satisfied with that resolution. while the tech was washing off the sealant, Wess came back and asked what was going on, the tech told him and was complaining the whole time, wess came me to told me that he can assure me that the did not happen here and that I was trying to pull something on them, I assured him that I was not. He got real upset at me, and basicly told me I was a lier and he would do everything in his power to see that I would not get this fixed. by that time the tech was finished washing off my hood. I was so upset by the way I was treated by wess and the installer I told them I would never return her again, I have had all my glass work performed there for over 30 years, and have always been treated well. up untill now. I found sealant all over the front carpets of my truck but was so upset by them I was afraid to have the clean this up also. I have reported this issure to my insurance company and have posted this on facebook. this is not the way to take responcibility for your mistakes in a small area like ours. I feel that I will not send them the bill for the repairs, instead I will report them to everyone and every possiable media I can to get the word out about how I was treated. I figure this will cost them more than if they had done what the should have in the first place.
