Description of Work: WITH THE EXPERIENCES THAT I HAVE SUFFERED WITH CONTRACTORS, ONE OF JUST THIS LAST JULY, STILL, MAIMING, CRIPPLING, NEARLY DEADLY ROBBED OF THOUSANDS, I NEVER THOUGHT THAT I WOULD BE SO BLESSED TO HAVE BEEN REFERRED TO ONE OF SUCH HIGH CALIBER, TALENT, HUMANITY, GENEROSITY, AS GENERAL CONTRACTOR, TIM BOTSFORD, OF: TIM BOTSFORD CONSTRUCTION, 9752 Indian Creek Way, Escondido, CA 92026, (760) 207-8515, email timbotsford@cox.net, serving San Diego County, at times, parts of Orange, & Riverside counties. for 20 successful years . A LOVING FAMILY MAN, KIND, GENEROUS, PROTECTIVE OF WOMEN, SENIORS. OF COURSE IS LICENSED AND INSURED, WITH NO COMPLAINTS ON CONTRACTORS BOARD. I WAS SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE HAD TIM BOTSFORD, OF TIM BOTSFORD CONSTRUCTION, REPLACE, REDESIGN, MY HOME & PATIO ROOF, AND TO HAVE HAD HIM SAVE MY HOME LITERALLY FROM CONSPICUOUS FIRE HAZARRDS MISSED BY 3 OTHER ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS, INSPECTORS, HANDYMEN! AS WELL AS HIS HAVING SAVED ME MANY THOUSANDS I WOULD HAVE HAD TO SPEND, PER THESE OTHER CONTRACTORS, REPAIRMEN, TO PUT IN NEW HEAT, UNNECESSARY ELECTRICAL, WHEN I CALLED HIM FOR HELP OVER MY CIRCUIT BLOWING REPEATEDLY. TIM BOTSFORD HAD, HAS, A STELLAR REPUTATION AMONG MY NEIGHBORS, IN SAN DIEGO COUNTY, AS AN HONEST, CARING, VERY PROFESSIONAL, BRILLIANT, SO TALENTED GENERAL CONTRACTOR, DOING EVERYTHING FROM ROOFING, TO ELECTRICAL, SWIMMING POOLS, REMODELS, ETC.. THIS NOT ONLY FOR THE BEST PRICE, EVEN GIVING SENIORS 10% DISCOUNTS, AS HE MATCHED MY BEST BIDS, IN AUGUST 2011, FOR EVERYTHING HE DID FOR ME, BUT FOR THE BEST WORK THAT I, & ALL WHO I KNOW WHO HAVE USED TIM, SEEN HIS WORK, HAVE EVER SEEN, ABOVE AND BEYOND THE "CALL OF DUTY", RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL. TIM, unlike many who call themselves "General" contractors these days, simply because they were able to study for, then pass the tests, temporarily, with zero real experience, perhaps in one area, "mold removal", or "painting", truly is an expert in the many crafts under the title "General contractor". He became expert at so much by starting out as a contractor for a huge corporation needing many just for their blocks of buildings, trained in every area. He still has an obvious thirst for this business, loves it, is a perfectionist, AND TREATS OUR PROPERTY, OUR FUNDS, NO MATTER HOW SMALL, AS HE WOULD HIS OWN, WITH RESPECT, PRIDE IN WORKMANSHIP, PINCHING EVERY PENNY! His design sense is fabulous, he will listen, hear you, intently, try in every way to honor your requests, is again, as enthusiastic as if it were his own home, a very very, creative, Renaissance Man, working side by side with his men as much as possible, WHO CLEARLY LOVE, RESPECT HIM, TOGETHER MANY YEARS, every day in my case, checking and double checking, a work ethic impossible to beat, a PROBLEM SOLVER BAR NONE, WHO LIKELY SAVED MY HOUSE, ME FROM BURNING DOWN, FINDING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS, (THEN REPAIRING), THAT 3 ELECTRICIANS, ONE FROM A HUGE HEATING/ELECTRICAL, COMPANY. ALL HAD MISSED! I hired Tim to repair or replace my house roof, my patio roof and skylight, (to redesign these as well), as the patio roof was cut into by who else, but a termite contractor! This damage they caused, caused a leak in my bedroom ceiling, window, wall, and the closet ceiling of my small bedroom was water damaged, all just after having this all painted professionally. The termite company faked repair of this patio roof, by just globing on more tar, as it continued to flood my bedroom, staining the ceiings walls! Then accused me of doing something that caused the damage, having paid 3 contractors to try to fix this mess, $500.00, to no avail, saying that I was even cheating them by only deducting $150.00 from my bill to them , ($1800.00 for termite removal supposedly), for the repainting of my one ceiling, threatening me, as is par for their course, to "put a lien on", my house, telling me to "sue them", when I had a broken back, foot, and blood clots in my legs! TIM TO THE RESCUE! WHAT A JOY! I had heard all the great things of Tim, seen him around all the time, HIS GREAT SUPER NEAT WORK, CLEAN, RAPID, PROCESS, BUT NEVER THOUGHT THAT I COULD AFFORD HIM! To my surprise, Tim actually met my lowest bid for replacement of my whole roof, FROM SCRATCH NO LESS, NEW PLYWOOD BASE, for my patio roof as well, including redesign of both, changing the slope, to stop standing water where these roofs meet, to allow more light in, and replace an old leaking skylight. Tim has a great analytical mind, memory, grasps all these things immediately to quickly calculate the costs, determine if our ideas will work, to offer alternatives to make them work, and even takes seriously concerns such as for my many plants, he covered with plastic, and made sure that he was done before the 2 weeks the contract gave him to complete, they were all over my garage as well, so they wouldn't die! Unlike most contractors it seems, Tim really likes, respects, women, IS VERY PROTECTIVE OF US, SENIORS, THE FRAIL, AS IS HIS WHOLE CREW! NO ABUSERS ALLOWED, OF BOOZE, DRUGS, PEOPLE, PROPERTY, IN TIM'S COMPANY. HE IS A GOD FEARING, LOVING FAMILY MAN, WHO ONLY SPEAKS AS SUCH OF HIS WIFE, GIRLS, MOM & DAD, THE WHOLE LARGE BROOD. HE IS A VERY CHARMING, WITTY, MAN AS WELL, ALWAYS SMILING, LAUGHING. After Tim finished my roofs, skylight, in a week and a half, all cleaned up inside and out, I called him to ask if he knew of an electrician as I was having a circuit blow every time I tried to use my year old, above the stove, microwave, a hazard somewhere. I told him how 3 electricians, and the microwave manufacturer's service man, couldn't find a reason for why this was happening all of a sudden, that the microwave needed it's own circuit I was to have put in per the microwave company, or it could burn out the wires, cause a fire, as the electricians also advised me, for this microwave, after inspecting the situation, one the bidding up to $2000.00, for all kinds of work not needed, all saying that I needed a separate circuit for this microwave oven they would put in, for $300 at the lowest price, for the circuit alone. Like the big enthusiastic, kid he is, Tim said "I do all that, thanks for thinking of me"! He came over immediately to check this out, After having beautifully repaired, redesigned, my house, patio roofs, skylight, for the lowest bid price I had, he matched. TIM FOUND HAZARDS THAT 3 OTHER ELECTRICIANS HAD MISSED, DID LIGHTING REMODELING, REPAIR OF MY HEATING, AGAIN, MISSED BY 3 ELECTRICIANS, A HOME INSPECTOR, AND HIS COMPLETELY UNQUALIFIED, UNPROFESSIONAL, "HANDYMAN", (A PAINTER"), AS WAS APROBLEM WITH MY CIRCUIT BLOWING EVERY TIME I USED MY MICROWAVE, SUPPOSED TO HAVE IT'S OWN CIRCUIT, COMMON KNOWLEDGE WITH ALL THESE TYPE MICROWAVES, AS WITH THE EXISTING OLD ONE IN FOR MANY YEARS. MY BRAND NEW MICROWAVE, WAS REPLACED BY THIS SAME "HANDYMAN", WHO SAID THAT HE HAD DONE MANY TIMES BEFORE, IN REALITY KNEW NOTHING BUT PAINTING AS I LATER FOUND OUT. WITH CALIFORNIA LAW ALLOWING "HANDYMEN", ONLY LICENSED IN A SINGLE AREA, LIKE FOR PAINTING, STUPIDLY, DANGEROUSLY, IN MY OPINION, TO PERFORM ALL KINDS OF WORK THEY ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO DO IN MANY CASES, ELECTRICAL, ETC. ALL THIS HANDYMAN HAD TO DO, WAS TO REPLACE THE OLD "OVER THE STOVE", MICROWAVE, WITH A NEW ONE, HE SAID HE KNEW HOW TO DO, (AS WITH ALL ELSE HE DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO DO, OVERCHARGING ME MUCH FOR DOING THINGS WRONG, OR THAT DIDN'T NEED TO BE DONE). I HAD ALSO AN ELECTRICIAN FROM A HUGE ELECTRICAL/HEATING, COMPANY, COME OUT TO CHECK ON WHY MY MICROWAVE KEPT BLOWING THE CIRCUIT, FOR HIM AS WITH THE OTHERS, TO TELL ME THAT I NEEDED TO HAVE THE SEPARATE CIRCUIT INSTALLED, WANTING TO DO ABOUT $1500.00 MORE IN UNNECESSARY WORK, LIKE REPLACING EVERY ELECTRICAL SOCKET IN HOUSE, ETC, VERY HIGH PRESSURE TO GET ME TO SIGN HIS CONTRACT, TAKING MONEY OFF EACH TIME I DECLINED. FINALLY TIM CAME OUT AND SOLVED THIS AS WELL, AND MORE. I had been told by the home inspector, his "handyman", that my radiant ceiling heat was just "broken", per their examination. This inspector supposedly a general contractor. I was told the same by the huge, well known, heating and electrical company , by their electricin who came out to see what was wrong, give me a bid, missing work I needed to have done, wanting to replace my whole electrical box, his bid started at $ 3 K missing my microwave problem, heating problems totally, a supposed expert per all their advertising, a salesman only it seemed. TIM BOTSFORD TO THE RESCUE AGAIN! HIS HAVING ALREADY PUT UP MY NEW ROOFS FROM SCRATCH, PATIO ROOF REDESIGN, TO PREVENT ANY POOLING OF WATER, CHANGING THE SLOPE OF MY ROOF, SKYLIGHT INSTALLED.
