I called Sequoia Roofing after all the rain had passed. Even though they were booked with appointments, Rudy came out only a few days after I called since we will be leaving town soon (this is our vacation home). My husband and I were extremely impressed with Rudy Turner, when he came out. He really knows roofing, diagnosed the problem, and saved us money by not selling a roof that we don't need. When we do need a roof, we will call him. Thank you Rudy!

Rudy is my hero! Of the many places I called for help with a small roof leak, he was the only one who made the time to come and take a look. He determined I don't need a major repair right now. But when and if I do, Sequoia will have my business.

I love my new roof and I'm so happy I went with Sequoia Roofing! Mike (owner) spent more time with me going over the process plus the warranty than any other roofing contractor I contacted and he had a reasonable bid to me by that evening. On the first day rain was in the forecast for 4pm so Mike had 8 guys on my roof pulling off the shingles and getting on the waterproof paper and they got it done and I had no leaks that night. My roof was done the next day and even though the guys made quite a mess they cleaned up really well. I was impressed!!! I mentioned to Tito (person in charge) that I had a leak in my garage with the old roof so he said he would check out that spot and make sure it was tightened up but he also remarked "with this crew you won't have any leaks" which really stuck with me and made me feel like I had a top notch crew putting on my roof. We've had alot of rain since the roof went up and I've had no leaks so Tito was right !!! There was one mishap where the water heater vent got dislodged, they had trouble fixing it so I called a plumber and it got resolved quickly. Thank you Sequoia Roofing for a job well done!!!

I noticed some water running down the window during a rain storm and concluded I must have a leak in the roof. They came out and found a small hole on the in one of the tiles. They replace the tile and no more leak. Everything seemed to go very well.

It was around $15,000, plus or minus $1,000. We give them an ?A?, that?s why we are using them again. I wasn?t in the bidding process, but we were okay with it. I don?t remember if there were any issues. There was probably about 10 people in their crew over the course of the project. It took about a week. They explained everything, there were no surprises and they did the job with some good quality. Left the area spotless. I didn?t really come into contact with the workers, they were up on the roof. I think they gave us an Angie?s List discount too. We got $500 off the last one and we?re getting $500 off the next one. That also helps too.

He said the leaks were caused by clogged scuppers, not a roof problem. He unclogged them and all was well. Advised me to have them checked once yearly (after leaves have fallen). I offered to pay for his time, but he refused. I appreciate his honesty and professionalism. Will certainly have him back to clean gutters and scuppers next year.

I contacted four of the top rated angies list roofers in north county, all award winners...using the Angie's list mobile app. Three responded by the first business day and setup appointments to give me a quote. Mike at Sequoia was able to meet me the soonest. Had a quote already prepared using online data. He sat down at my kitchen table and explained the materials he uses, bringing a sample of the underlayment so I could see how durable it was. Also showed me options for low-e foil to reduce energy costs as well as new tile options. Not a high pressure sales but as informing me of the options. His crew started the following week and finished within a week and a half. Crew was punctual always starting promptly at 8am and cleaned up at the end of every day. We just had some of the worst rains with 4in in 4 days of almost noon stop rain. Rains used to be a time of anxiety because we knew we'd be wondering where the next leak would show up. But now with our new roof we are stress free and feel so grateful to Mike and Sequoia Roofing getting us our new roof just in time for this unbelievable rainy season! Oh and regarding the other 3 roofers i contacted... One came to my house but never gave me a quote Other one scheduled appointment but never showed up, never responded to my voicemail asking about rescheduling Third one never responded to my initial request for a quote

Quick in getting back to me, but the bid seemed extremely unreasonable. $600-$700 for a roof tile. Time to call another company

Sequoia roofing did a fantastic job! Mike is amazing and his entire crew his very professional. They removed the existing roof and disposed of the old tile. They installed new Boral tile with Titanium 50-year underlayment. Additionally we had a number of extended tails that had dry rot and we needed them removed or placed. We received several bids and Sequoia came in with the most affordable offer. They cut back the tails and installed new fascia. They cleaned up daily and removed all job related debris. The job was completed in less than a week! I would and will recommend them to anyone who needs a new roof.

I would give a Top Notch review of how the project went. Mike and the guys at Sequoia were great. They were priced great and gave us a great finished project. In fact you can't tell the difference from the old and new tile. I would recommend these guys again 100%

Mike and his team did an AMAZING job replacing my roof with a cool roof, backed by the Golden Pledge Warranty. I wanted an energy efficient roof to not only cut my AC bills, but to also use YGRENE to fully cover the cost and not pay a dime out of my pocket for this job. I had 6 different companies come out and quote me on a cool roof, and Sequoia Roofing was the first bid and ultimately the one we chose. Mike, the owner, was very down to earth, incredibly knowledgeable, and is the only one to offer the Golden Pledge Warranty. This warranty covers not only the materials (like most warranties do), but also the labor. In other words, the labor is backed by GAF (shingle company)...if something happens to Mike's business, the labor is still covered! No other contractor could offer me this warranty, as there is just a few certified contractors around who can! Knowing the huge investment of replacing my roof, I wanted to ensure I will never have to do it again! The best part was that his price was the same or even lower than the other 5 companies I had quote me. I would highly recommend Sequoia Roofing to any of my friends and family, and I don't state that often. Thanks again Mike!

Rudy was so nice and fair. He always answered my calls and helped me save money. The roofers were so professional and cleaned up everything. They even helped me prepare my garage and moved some cable wires for me. I only wish I had known they were going to put a brown trim before they did it. I plan to paint my trim all white and wish they had used white.(so just make sure to tell them what trim you want) But they were awesome!

I had a great experience with Sequoia Roofing. Mike Rochholz, the owner, was helpful and responsive. He helped me select the right type of roof considering the style of my house, the size of my roof, and my neighborhood. He made sure I was happy throughout the process and was very attentive to all my questions and concerns. The team on site was professional and did good work. They were very careful with my property and landscaping and cleaned up every day before leaving. In my final walk through, there were a few areas I wanted to be touched up and some one came out immediately and attended to the areas. Sequoia is not the cheapest option I had, but when it came to my roof, I wanted the confidence to know the work would be done well and that the company would stand behind their work for years. I am very happy with my choice and the outcome. i would highly recommend Sequoia Roofing.

They seemed to be overloaded with work and sometimes were not very responsive, but the end result was excellent.

We were very pleased with every aspect of this job. Sequoia responded quickly to our request for a quote and came in with a very reasonable price for the job. They scheduled the repair between rain storms, they arrived on time and they completed the job in one day. Everyone was extremely responsive and professional. I would highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future should the need arise.

It went excellently. Mike Rochholz is the contractor at Sequoia Roofing. He did the estimate, directed the work, and inspected the work. Everyone was professional, helpful, and on-time. I have recommended them to others. One year later when we installed solar electric panels, this was before Sequoia added solar to their services, they worked with and inspected the solar installers work. This year, we had them inspect the roof on our rental before the El Nino weather arrived, and they told us it had five years of service left. Would call them anytime we needed roof work!

The crew showed up when promised. They worked for 2 days. One day to remove the old roof and the next day to install new roof. They kept my yard very clean! They had a dumpster for the old roof and it was gone before I returned home from work. They were very hard workers and very professional! Only one thing that was not discussed: They removed my satelite dish but didn't reinstall it. I had to pay $50.00 to have it reinstalled.

While we ended up going with a different company because of a bundled discount we got for some other work on our home, Mike was the most informative and professional of the roofers we got estimates from, and now that our job is done we feel that Sequoia would have been a better choice for the roof installation. When we need more roofing work in the future, we'll call Sequoia as our first option.

I asked for an estimate. Rudy came by the house (I wasn't home which was okay) and then called a day later to say the quote would be about $15,000 +. I said please send the bid in writing and never heard from them again.

They were just out this morning to repair a small problem that I discovered over the weekend. Apparently, one of their roofers had forgotten to nail a few of the tiles along one edge of the roof. Some of the tiles fell off. There were 11 tiles involved. They returned my calls the same day on Saturday. They had a gentleman after this morning at 7:00 and he repaired that. Some things happen but these people did such a beautiful job. They cleaned it wonderfully. In general, they had extremely polite and experienced workers during the work. This was a week's worth of work because they had to coordinate with the installation of solar panels on my roof being done by another company. I just can't say enough good things about them. I did compare them with five others. Although their price was not the cheapest we got for the materials that they used and the details that they did, they definitely provided more than other people. Their price was the best for what they did. Their punctuality was perfect. I have absolutely no complaints. When they said they would be here, they were. They cleaned up beautifully. Every single day that they worked, they never left debris lying around. They were very conscientious. We would definitely use them in the future.
