The representative that provided the quote was on time, very professional and was able to expand and provide additional design recommendations for the work I wanted done. The quote came in significantly higher than other quotes I received so I did not move forward with this company.

As planned. We had a change after they got started and they did it for a fair price. We had some things we could have lived with but bugged me - they fixed it! "We'll make you happy!" they said. Here everyday and every one who worked on different parts would ask me how I like it - what they were working on. You could tell they were all proud of their work!

Brandon was great with design and very easy to work with. The crews did a fantastic job and all was complete in about two weeks. I would not hesitate to hire them again! Great customer service and responsive to questions and changes. Don't hesitate to hire River Rock Outscape!

Great. The workers were very hard working and cleaned up at the end of each day. We couldn't be happier with the end product - it looks fantastic.

They were a little reluctant to give a bid because of the size and scope of the work. I think they have a minimum of $20-30k and my job was around $10-15K. Every other company quoted $8-10K and they quoted $24k for the same work, so I obviously didn't meet their requirements. It was a free estimate. They were on time, he was a nice guy. He told me it was not really their thing due to their minimums. I wish they would have disclosed that before because it did waste my time.

Brandon was so helpful with a prompt response for estimates and provided a computer rendering of the project! He had great ideas and was very flexible to work with. They showed up 3 days after signing and the work was completed in about 2 weeks. Project looks wonderful and has improved our curb appeal by 1000%.

This was the 2nd time we hired River Rock Outscape. (The first time was to build a small retaining wall in our backyard and they did such a great job we immediately had them add 2 additional rows to our front yard retaining wall as a secondary job.) This time we had them come out and give us a bid on tearing out an old retaining wall in a section of our backyard and build a new one in addition to adding a small extension to the wall to give us more livable space and had them marry it up to the previous existing wall they built 2 years ago which also required them to pull out an old tree stump. Brad showed up right on time on Saturday morning and measured and gave us a bid which was higher than we anticipated it would be. But because we are returning customers he gave us a discount in addition to the 30% Angies List discount which we thought was wonderful. Still higher than we wanted to pay but we were also asking a lot as well. Brad gave us the returning customer discount if they could start work right away since they were in between jobs. I was concerned because Brad wanted to start work on Monday and we were going out of town on Friday. I wanted the work done before we left town. Brad assured us he could get it done on time even if it meant bringing in an extra guy. They showed up promptly at 9am on Monday and started working right away. My husband had asked Brad to make sure the guys put something down on our EasyTurf to make sure it wouldnt get ruined by the wheel barrel and they put down wide wood planks and used that which was great. Outside of a couple of questions here & there the guys worked great. They took a lunch break and just ate in my backyard and cleaned up after themselves. Each night before they left (typically about 430pm) they made sure to clean up their work area and our pool is literally right next to the retaining wall. All things considered there wasnt too much dirt that fell into our pool. There were some small rocks that managed to get into the hose and clog it up but that was an easy fix. The following 3 days the guys showed up about 730am and worked until 430pm and true to his word, all work was done by Thursday afternoon. They did a beautiful job matching the new retaining wall to the previous wall they put in 2 years ago. The guys were friendly, professional, and worked hard. We absolutely have no complaints and would hire them a 3rd time if we need something else done. Only quasi complaint was hoping the price would have come in $2-3K less.

My wife and I were very pleased with the responsiveness and service we received from everyone that we have been in contact with during our back yard remodel. We choose River Rock Outscape after research and meeting with other contractors. Alex our sales rep was great. He wasn't pushy and was extremely flexible with meeting us in the evening due to our work schedules. The crew who completed the job was fast and very detailed. The work went smoothly and we were very pleased with the finished product that we have. I would highly recommend River Rock Outscape for a complete back yard remodel.

I decided to go with a different landscape treatment than originally considered. No services were performed, but they were very quick to give a quote and very pleasant to deal with.

They quoted very high and wasn't including a lot of what others were offering as part of the quote, such as pressure washing and sealing of the pavers at the end.

Overall, very well. It wasn't perfect. But, once problems were identified, they were addressed. Very hard working group, generally pleasant, good management. At times, communications between workers could have been better. We would reuse RRO and recommend them to others.

River Rock Outscape provided exceptional service. They are professional, highly qualified and perform work in a timely manner. Alex and Octavio kept us informed all through our 3 1/2 week project. We are very happy with our newly built backyard which includes pavers and 2 seating walls with lighting. We will use them again for our next project.

We signed a contract with River Rock Outscape (RRO) in June 2015 to install pavers and patio covers at our home. On the contract the estimated date of completion was July 31, 2015. The project started pretty much on time and went downhill from there. There were all kinds of delays. Workers would work for a few days and then not show up for weeks. We would call and call and get excuse after excuse. After repeated calls RRO finally pulled the permits in September 2015 for the patio covers. There were three different patio covers. The third cover was being installed completely wrong and we stopped the worker who was installing it. He got hold of the owner (Brad) who came out the next day on Saturday. Brad literally argued with my wife and I and told us we were wrong. We showed him the plans that were drawn by him. After much arguing and cussing he agreed to install it according to plans. They did over $2,000 damage to the brand new stucco on the house and would not reimburse us for the damages. We paid them in full and thought we would be done with them. We are now doing some additional work on the house with a new contractor and he tried to pull additional permits but was unable to pull them because River Rock Outscape never called for a final inspection to close out the original permit on the patio covers. The permit expired and we have to go back to the county to re-open the permit and pay additional fees so we can get a final inspection on the patio covers that River Rock Outscape installed. This has been a nightmare and we will never hire nor recommend River Rock Outscape to anyone. About the only time we could get a return call from them was when it was time to be paid.

As previously mentioned we were VERY pleased with Brandon. He wasn't one of those guys who tried to smooze you. If he didn't know an answer he said he would get right back to us and he did. He worked with us within our budget and we got everything we wanted in the project. Their work crew was very hard-working and finished a day ahead of schedule. When we asked to add lighting along the retaining wall that had initially been an option presented, Brandon was quick to get us a quote and Octavio made it happen. We are very pleased with their workmanship including the step up to the grass part of our yard that we wanted to ease pushing the lawnmower to the grass area. It definitely has added a beautiful outdoor living space to our home and be believe resale value. Their work crew was also very respectful of our property which is often not the case of other workers we have had at my home. They did an excellent job of hauling away all the trash and debris, including some large tree roots that my husband was digging up in the backyard at the same time they were working. They also cleaned up everything before they finished.

Alex of River Rock showed up per schedule. Took my idea and drew up a plan and provided a very neat and detailed quote. His pricing is comparable with other contractors we talked to. For now, we will have to postpone our project but River rock is on the top of my list.

Great! They did it all in 1 and 1/2 days!

In summary terms, River Rock Outscape did exactly what they were supposed to do--on time and on budget. When I met Brad Garcia (principal) to discuss the job, I was a little concerned that he did not record all the detail. It was a low pressure, casual meeting. When Brad returned to start the job, I was pleasantly surprised that he nailed it. The men on the crew were all friendly, respectful and hardworking. The office staff was friendly and professional. Everyone at River Rock seemed to work smoothly together, with minimal inconvenience to me. Near the end of the job, I gave River Rock my punch list (rather short, since almost everything was done close to perfect). There was no push back from River Rock. They took care of the issues. River Rock left my property clean and much more attractive than it was before. We are more than two months past completion. There has not been a single plant failure or any other problem. River Rock Rocks!

The River Rock Outscape team (Alex, Ben, Luis, and Solomon to mention a few) transformed our side and back yards areas from an outworn dirt and flagstone set up to a beautifully updated paver walkway complete with refreshed plantings, irrigation, and LED lighting. Any question or concern I brought up was immediately addressed and they were wonderfully flexible with allowing my input on the plant selections. I highly recommend this company and crew and would hire them again in a heartbeat for another project.

The estimater arrived on time and was very knowledgable offering several helpful suggestions to make the project less expensive and more attractive. He made another trip out to revise the contract when we changed our minds about some of the details. The work crew came on the scheduled day and set to work with a will. I was amazed at the amount of work they were able to get done in 1 day with only hand tools. Access to our yard was too narrow to bring in motorized gear but whether it was removing huge amounts of dirt, breaking up concrete or removing old bushes the work was done quickly, efficiently and with attention to detail. At the end of each day the work area was clean and neat. As with any remodeling job there were surprises that caused a change in plans. The crew worked with us to create the best possible result. I want to especially praise Momo for his effort and attitude. He was a pleasure to have at the house and worked so quietly that twice I slept thru his starting work. The end result was all we were hoping for. Thanks River Rock. We will use you again as the need arises

They were very reliable and responsive to suggestions and questions. When I expressed concern that the rainwater from my rain gutter might adversely affect the pavers, they extended the drain so that it went underground. They also did the same with my air conditioner pipe. They were on time and didn't leave until they had done what was needed. All the workers were courteous and pleasant, and they worked very hard. Alex Molina was very reachable, either by phone or text. They installed new irrigation, and got everything done in a timely fashion. The pavers were installed evenly and sealed. My yard looks beautiful! I've gotten many compliments on my pavers and lawn. It was worth every penny. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

It went very well, every day that we came home during the construction the area was left very clean and organized - which to me was amazing considering what was being done. They built proper drainage to avoid flooding in the back yard and the front driveway. These people are great, the guys are professional and easy to work with.

The gentleman was friendly at the estimate, but then nothing but crickets from this company.

We really liked the results and the people working on the project. While we had a bit of a rough start to the project, Octavio Garcia personally took over the project and made sure the design was just what we wanted. Once the work got started, we were especially impressed with how hard Felix and Jose worked. They were very diligent and conscientious in their work. We had already hired a different company to install artificial turf and River Rock Outscape did a nice job of working out a compatible schedule. We learned from the turf company that our yard drainage in the backyard was broken and/or plugged and they couldn't install the artificial turf until that was corrected. River Rock did a great job of repairing/replacing the drainage pipes promptly, professionally, and at a very economical cost. They also installed new irrigation fixtures for the new water smart plants. The landscape lighting they put in is perfect. Whenever we felt something needed to be addressed, they took care of it promptly to our satisfaction. We've been very happy with their work. The only minor issue not resolved is a couple of cracked tiles in the front driveway caused by one of our initial contacts at the company. We're still waiting for that to be repaired 5 months after the job was done. Still, we'd have no problem calling upon Octavio and River Rock again.

Brad, and Octavio co-own this company and each has their own set of duties. Brad, who was very pleasant, does all of the estimates, He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Octavio oversees the job and he knows how to do everything. They were very professional. I had many questions and they answered all of them. One thing that is very important about this company is that all of their crews are their own employees and they know their quality of work. They did an incredible job of installing pavers, which replaced my grass and my old concrete. They had to remove and move parts of my sprinkler system. The quality of work was excellent! My yard looks so beautiful! They used Belgard pavers in the Catalina Slate pattern mixing 70% Montecito color and 30% Toscana color. Brad was very helpful in helping me choose the pattern and the colors with the correct percentages. My husband and I are very pleased with the result. Our backyard looks so beautiful! I would recommend them to anyone! When I get some more money, I plan to hire then again! Hire them, you will not be disappointed!
