Description of Work: installed solar heating for pool 9yrs ago and does not stand behind their warranties and service. The system never did work right and over the years had numerous service calls (cost about $135 ++ each time) the system never did work properly. First the thermostat didn't work, then the auto valves ,Latest is the panels have holes. They always claim the parts are not covered because of some reason. The panels they said were not covered because of a poor filter on the pump. I have my pool serviced by a very competent contractor who claims that the filter was cleaned twice a year, wit any holes patched or the element replaced. Solar P is very hard to deal with- they are always right and won't compromise on anything-all they do is quote extreme repair/replace prices. My system is useless and I have spent all this money for nothing- stay away from SP!!!

Description of Work: The solar system they installed a few years ago was leaking. I called to have someone come out to repair the leak. Service guy came to the house and after checking it out told me that there was not a problem. I was dumbfounded as the fact was every time I went to use the spa water would literally cascade from the roof. I was charged i think around 150.00. When the system ran normally there was leakage but not as much as when I switched over to use the spa. I called them back and the lady who manages the office told me I was remiss in not explaining originally about the difference in the amount of water the system would leak when i went to use the spa. I was confused because i thought the service guy would normally switch the system from daily use to spa use as part of the inspection to determine where the leaks were coming from. I wasn't at home the first time they came by. So I called again and made another service appointment for a time when I would be at home. Now a different guy came and after being up on the roof told me again that there isn't any problem he could find to fix. It would be an understatement to say I was disappointed in the outcome of two service calls performed by this supposedly reputable business. Of course my credit card wa charged again for the second service call. So after two service calls I was out about 300.00 and still had not had the system repaired. After again speaking with the office manager I was extremely frustrated to find out that she adamantly refused to refund my money. Because of this experience I just turned off the system completely. Can't use the spa or heat the pool because of the leaks. This was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in regards to repair work. I'm stuck with this result as i'm too old to get up on the roof myself and I am leery of trusting anyone else to make the repairs.After all if the company that installed the system can't fix the problem how can I trust anyone else to do the job? It amazes me that this company can still be in business.

Description of Work: This company is first class. They came in after another company had lied to us for over two months. they installed our new system in one day. It works like a top, better than promised. I did not like one of the runs they had done and they came and re-routed the pipe and did not charge us! Don't go to anyone else.

Description of Work: The solar heating company initially installed the pool pump in May-June 2008 and corrected the installation in March or April this year.

Description of Work: I have a solar heating system on my pool. When one of my panels sprung a leak, I contacted the solar panel manufacturer (Fafco Solar) to see if it was under warranty. They said it was under warranty for 10 years, but since it was 12 years old, it was not covered. They referred me to Solar Performance in Escondido, their representative in the San Diego area. I called Performance Solar and asked them if they could provide a solar repair kit, or repair the panel. They said they had no solar repair kits (said they couldn't get them from the manufacturer), but they would send out a representative to check out my system. I told them I didn't need my system checked out, just needed a repair done on a panel.
