Mark Nilo Morand Landscape Design

Mark Nilo Morand is a one-person company who prefers to work with hardwoods. I selected him over eight other bids because he describes himself as a Craftsman who takes on projects that he can feel good about completing. I wanted my old deck to be rebuilt with hardwood that would be naturally resistant to the termites and bugs, and Mark suggested Mangaris hardwood for the deck floor and Western Cedar for the railings. His pricing for my approximately 560 square feet deck was very competitive. He started the demolition on schedule and got the deck rebuilt in about two weeks. He reused the tempered glass panels and actually made the deck a bit bigger than it was to make it stronger. I helped him to design a "wood art" piece to fill in a 16 inch space in the middle of the deck railing. Mark cleaned up the work area every night and left the work site in great shape at the end of the project. He also helped to reinforce the hinges on my iron gate and purchased two new wire gates to make the deck look better without old rusty gates showing. I would highly recommend Mark for building any type of deck. He does not work with Trex types of materials, just the best of the hardwoods. He is great to work with because he really cares how the project turns out.
