Greenway Lawn Aeration

I don’t usually give bad reviews but greenway was very poor with their service and was way overpriced. I hired Greenway for a side yard work. The job was to install two sets of steps with stones and install ground covers and optimize the existing irrigation at my home. There were two medium sized pine trees which I wanted removed. The quote they gave had over $2500 just to cut the two trees leaving the stumps behind. I requested them to take that item off the request. I could have this done for less than $400 with another company. In hindsight I should have backed off and not allowed them to work on my yard at all. That was a clue to how overpriced they were. However, we decided to give them a chance. They finished the work fast, but had to redo the steps with stone because the steps started coming off within 2 days! Initially they had this done by a subcontractor. Greenway redid it because it was that bad and unsafe to walk on. The rest of the work was mediocre at best, and way overpriced for what they did. I just want to share my experience so that others do not fall for the 30years of experience that this company boasts. I have to say that the owners and the workers were very professional and friendly throughout the project which earns them 3 stars.

GREENWAY POWAY - DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME 👎. Waited almost 3 weeks for my initial consultation on how to beautify my yards. Confirmed time night before as I would be gone for 2 hours on appt day. They never showed during “appt window” so I called at the window end. Claimed they came during 2 hours I was gone, which night before swore they wouldn’t, and that they “performed a billable service (aeration?)”. Since my yards are behind locked gates and we hadn’t agreed to any services yet, that is laughable.COMPANY IS POORLY RUN WITH TERRIBLE CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!

The person arrived on time and did the aeration of the front and back yard. I had a $100 credit because I paid to have another person come out to give me an estimate on re-sodding the lawns. I was told I could not apply this credit to the aeration and fertilizing of the yards.

There was nothing wrong with the provider, Angie's customer service misrepresented Greenway Lawn Aeration. I purchased the service. The provider called to set up the appointment and when I asked the same questions about aeration they didn't provide the certain service I needed. But I had no problems getting my monies refunded.

Was disappointed to find they didn't use a weed killer as well.

I had to reschedule several times during the fires, and was very pleased that Lawn Love helped me out after having to switch the dates so much. Most places I called had a 3-4 week waiting list, but Lawn Love came out within the week. Thanks.

First time I hired for this service. Friends recommended getting it done saying it really makes a difference, so I found this company, via the internet. Two young men came to the house. They did not knock on the door to let me know they were there. I realized they were there when I noticed someone in the backyard spreading my hand what I think was fertilizer. It was spread spiratically and unevenly. I hope they touched on the areas that needed it most. They did not cover all areas of the lawn with their aerator machine. Lastly they started to aerate a dirt lot in front of my house, so I stopped them. UPDATE: The Owner Scott called to follow-up on my complaint. He sent his team back out to the house to make everything right. The soil in my area is very hard, so their aerator machine could barely penetrate the ground, so they recommended soaking the ground before they come out. The second time around they used the hand machine to spread the fertilizer. I'm pleased that Scott care enough to make things right.

They knew what they were doing. It was expensive, but another sprinker guy charged me about $180 and never even identified the problem. These guys did a great job and the lawn is not a swimming pool any longer.

Before they came my yard was like a swimming pool. No one knew what the issue was. They really knew what the problem was and fixed it well. They are a little pricey but I don’t mind paying if they fix issues. I will probably use them in future. I would definitely recommend them to someone who is having difficulty diagnosing their lawn issues.

They did a great job. I have used them for years and they always show up on time and perform the work as agreed. They also seem very organized, with a well-run office too. Overall excellent customer service and great work. I will continue using them for my annual lawn aeration.

They seem to be friendly and on time; they left everything neat after the work. Their price was reasonable than anybody else.

Our front lawn was dying. We had a guy come and give suggestions. He suggested dethatching, aerating, and reseeding the lawn. In addition, he said we need 2 more sprinkler heads so that the sprinklers cover properly. Different people came to do the work. When they came to do the work, they said that only 1 sprinkler head was needed. To compensate, they adjusted one sprinkler to spray much further than it previously did. Over the next few days, we realized that this sprinkler that was spraying much harder was spraying directly on the car windows when the car was parked in the driveway. This left us with spots on the windshield each morning. I called them and asked them if they could install the second sprinkler head so that we can turn down the other sprinkler to avoid spraying on the car. They agreed to come out and fix it. When they were adding the second sprinkler, somehow they punctured a pipe that was buried in the yard. Since they had to fix that leak, they decided to tap into the punctured pipe to add the new sprinkler head. However, this pipe was for the back yard sprinklers, not the front. Now I have one sprinkler head in the front yard that comes on when the sprinklers in the backyard come on. It will water the yard properly, but this is confusing and will be harder to maintain long term. I would have very much preferred they put the new sprinkler head on same system as all the others in the front yard. I think the only reason they did this was convenience, due to the accidental puncturing of a pipe. The reseeding of the lawn did work well and the grass looks very nice.

After using greenway a year ago for aeration services I contacted them last week because I needed help to get my lawn back in shape. On Tuesday I spoke with the receptionist and she suggested a $100 consultation, which I agreed to. She told me that she had to check with Scott and his schedule and that I would receive a call. I indicated that I had a completely flexible schedule for the next week and a half and that any time would work for me. When I didn't receive a call back I phoned again the next day and I explained the whole situation again. I was ensured that somebody would call me back to set up a time. Again nobody called back. Two days later I phoned again but the call went to the voice box. I left a detailed message as instructed and two days later I am still waiting for a call back. Customer service begins with the first contact - greenway completely failed in that aspect. If somebody doesn't value the customer's time as much as their own then that tells you a lot about their business.

There is nothing I dislike about them. They are a really top notch company and I met the guy who owns it. He is a good person. He runs a really great company. The people who do the aeration work are very, very skilled at what they do and they are very fast. They don’t leave any kind of a mess and are always right on time. I don’t have any complaints at all. They do everything exactly the way they are supposed to do and do a really good job.

Greenway was contracted to aerate the lawn of this house before we bought. They were polite and unassuming when they called to ask if we were interested in continuing the service, which we did.

Called and made an appointment and was given and day that their guys would come out and aerate the lawn. I didn't need to be home which was a huge benefit. They left the bill on the front door and was very satisfied. Our lawn consistently looks greener and healthier then other houses on our block, and we have found that we spend less money on watering. I was very pleased with the office staff getting me scheduled quickly. The technicians were polite and efficient and answered all my questions offering good solutions for my hose bib, such as raising the bib to clear my plants for easier access. They left the work area clean and dirt put back in place. I have used this company in the past and my experience has always been good.

I would tell people to use him. The owner's name is Scott Lawn. He is a good guy. I ran into him at the store and he helped me pick the fertilizer that I was going to use. The guys that come out and do the work are really good. They are very fast, efficient, and friendly.

It was great. They are a knowledgeable and professional team.

Peter got here right on time, after Billie took my call. This was all the same day which was very impressive! I found him to be proficient, experienced, and pleasant. He even put up with my yappy little dog while he was here. I couldn't believe how thorough he was and how much adjusting he was able to accomplish while staying within the minimum service hour. What a great deal! I won't ever call another company for this service. I feel like I have a new bunch of friends.

I found them on Angie's List and I have used them before. They were on time. They were two people who came and I showed them what they had to do and did an excellent job. I am very satisfied.

When I called to make an appointment, I was given a date on which the service would be performed. No specific time was given, and I was told we did not have to be home when the aeration was done. The work was performed when they said it would be, and it was quick and thorough. The service person left a bill at the front door, so we did not even have to interrupt what we were doing.

Greenway seems to be a well run and profressional outfit compared to most lawn care businesses. They did the original landscaping at this rental house and, although the employee that was assigned to manage the job had problems, Greenway's owner stepped in and followed through in a professional manner.

Service was performed well but they arrived about 2 hours after the estimated window and did not call to let us know they would be late.
