This was a very small, residential job for Gary but he was kind enough to fit us into his schedule. Very pleasant to work with. He is a real professional, does a good job, and takes the time to explain to you what he is doing and (very important) what YOU as the homeowner need to do to have healthy trees.

The tree service was done very well - Gary Walker is a skilled arborist, as the many positive reviews at his website attest. He did an especially good job on two of our larger trees, a stone pine and a carob, and we told him so. His pruning team worked hard, and quickly. However, the cleanup was problematic. We had told Gary we had enough firewood, and didn't want any more, so he needed to remove it or shred it. He said he didn't use a shredder on small jobs like ours so his team had to make several trips to the dump. That, plus the fact that Gary offered (was not asked) to discount his services to get the job - and then must have resented his decision - led him to behave in what we consider an unprofessional manner. He was cold, almost hostile, and didn't warm up even when homemade muffins were given to him and his crew. When we paid him and thanked him for the work, his answer was a glare. We did not find any other reviews of Green Tree Arborists on Angie's List. Athough this was our experience, we're hoping it was a one-off.
