Mike came out the same day I called and gave me an estimate of $1000 (we live on 4 acres, so it was a lot of work). He originally thought the work could be done in one day, even though I did ask him if it was possible to get it all done in one day. His crew of three showed up the next day at 9am and worked until 3:30pm. It was 102 degrees out, so they called it a day. Mike called to report that they would have to come out the next day to finish the contracted work and that it was taking longer than he had estimated. So he was asked for more money, but he totally left it to my discretion. He knew that he quoted a price that we had agreed to, but he was hoping that I would understand that it was taking longer and possible give him more. But he was fine with whatever I decided. I told him I would think about it. Two of his crew showed up the next morning and completed all the work. They did an excellent job. And they actually ended-up doing a bit more than I had asked. So they went above and beyond even knowing that they might not get paid extra for it. The Pepper tree came out especially nice. It was a scraggly bushy tree and they trimmed it quite nicely, so now it has "character."
