Description of Work: I called for a quote for a dryer vent cleaning. The lady who answered said she couldn't give me a price quote because each system was unique and said the technician would be the one to give me a quote. She said she could set up an appointment to have the work done, the technician would call me to give me an estimate and if I wasn't satisfied with the estimate, I could cancel the appointment. The other three companies I called all gave me a price right away. Why do I need to set up an appointment first to get a quote? I said 'No thank you' and will use another contractor.

+ -1 moreJason arrived promptly. Our dryer was working fine and I just thought it would be a good idea to clean the vents. He does charge a $39 service call fee and then charges for the vent cleaning depending on how long it takes to do the job. He did clean the vents, but in the process disconnected the vent in the ceiling. This was not his fault as the original installation (some 18 years ago) was not done correctly. I had to have a contractor friend come out, cut a hole in the drywall ceiling, reconnect the vent and then repair the hole in the ceiling. The system is now working just fine.
Description of Work: Clean our dryer vent system (approximately 20 feet of ducting with two 90 degree bends).

+ -1 moreJason was very nice and personable. While he worked he explained why dryer vent maintenance is important, and told me what I could do to help keep it clean. As he predicted, my dryer is drying clothes faster now! I will definitely call him when it is time to have my vent cleaned again.
Description of Work: Jason snaked and vacuumed the dryer vent from the inside (my dryer is on the second floor) and cleaned 9 years worth of other people's lint out of the vent. He also performed a visual inspection of the vent through the attic and replaced the flimsy, inferior transition with a UL2158A compliant transition.

+ 0 moreAbout six hours work to lay out new ducting including hole cuts in simple garage shelves and installing new exhaust. There is a bit of duct work now in the garage, but holy smokes the dryer works better than ever. Just the duct being at room temp instead of underground is a huge help, much less collecting water. Work done was very neat and looks professional, and the results are tremendous. THANKS!!!
Description of Work: Replaced a dryer vent that went under the foundation to exhaust at exterior ground level, to duct work that ran inside garage and exits about six feet above ground. Old subterranean vent collected moisture and even rain water, was a persistent problem.

Description of Work: I was having difficulty with my dryer leaving brown lines about an inch or two long on my clothes. The appliance repair guy recommended I contact Dryer Vent Wizard to clean out my dryer vent. Apparently, my dryer vent was so clogged some of the link is coming back into the dryer and scorching, thus making the stands on the clothes. These guys solve the problem I could not figure out for the last 90 days. The cost is about $300, but it was well worth it. Now my clothes are really completely white.

Description of Work: Our dryer vent did not seem to be venting to the outside since new house purchase in 1998. Had it checked by others several times. Jason Parisi was the first to check it out in depth. Turns out the lateral vent "pipes" leading to the outside were not attached to each other, and were laying on the floor of the "chase" (a duct made of wall board to cover the dryer vent, for esthetics). The duct tape had not held the metal vent pieces together. All the lint, since purchase of the house, had collected in the "chase". We took pictures. The problem was fixed. The lint was cleaned out, the vent pipes were put together with new-type tape, the garage wall chase was put together again, and it now vents well to the outside. I can't say enough positive things about Jason Parisi, the Dryer Vent Wizard. |I sent out an email to everyone in our development re. the situation. My only regret is that I did not write this recommendation sooner due to time constraints.

+ -1 moreI scheduled an initial appointment on 10/13/2014 in which they called that morning to reschedule due to the technician being ill. I rescheduled for today and no one showed up for this appointment either. I called them twice in which they said they would reach the technician but were unable to. I didn't receive any other calls updating me on if they were able to reach him. .

I moved into a home where the vent had NEVER been cleaned for 6 years or more. It was very clogged. After Jason was done my dryer instantly performed in half the amount of time it was taking previously. What a difference!!!! I will definitely be calling Jason for continued maintenance.

Description of Work: Having a dryer vent installed in a house that hasn't had one since it was built in 1958 was going to be a challenge. To my and my husband's surprise, Jason Parisi of Dryer Vent Wizard not only proposed different options, but executed the best one in a timely, and most meticulously done manner. My husband, being an engineer, is pretty skeptical about how some technicians do the work these days, but he was terribly impressed with how careful and precise Jason was in constructing and installing the dryer vent. + -1 moreI have a gas dryer so he was very thorough in making sure everything was sealed tightly and he used tape and clamps which I've never seen done before. He sold me a vent cover, he suggested I replace the vent cover and he showed me the vent cover and how rodents and pest could come inside through it. So he installed a new vent cover for a very reasonable price of $63. It was a good price and professionally installed. My dryer efficiency has improved 30-40%.
Description of Work: They cleaned out the dryer vent and installed a new vent outside. They also installed and gave me all new attachments for the dryer. So everything was either cleaned or replaced.

Description of Work: One day response time - which was excellent as I had procrastinated in calling a professional. My vent was 100 percent blocked (hasn't been cleaned since I bought the house 23 years ago.). Jason Parisi, the owner, was professional, down to earth; told me exactly what he was going to do, he explained in detail what was causing the problem and he fixed it in less than an hour. He had to get on the roof to do it. I didn't really know how much it would cost, but I KNEW it would be cheaper than buying a new dryer. I recommend him without reservation. Jo-Anne Lesser
