I'm the president of an HOA in Murrieta, CA who just terminated "dependable" because they are not dependable. They took two years to install an over-priced camera and DMP system using two different camera systems, so we now have three platforms to log into, and none of them talk to one another. We had a vandal/trespasser on June 24. One out of 14 cameras detected the intruder, and dependable couldn't explain why. One of the smart cameras broke while under warranty. dependable won't replace it. The audible alarm system they installed on two gates constantly went off and would not turn off, so we had to remove the 9-volt batteries from them. They setup a Geovision system and gave us one shared login, and I couldn't login for months and asked for help. When I finally called the OEM, they explained the issue, and I made new admin logins for all key personnel. The owner, Bill Mayer, refused to come to our board meeting to explain the terrible service. Stay away from un-dependable.
Description of Work: They installed three iDTer cameras, 11 Geovision cameras, and a DMP for access control, as well as two audible alarms for two emergency gates. They took nearly two years to install the systems, gave us maybe 30 minutes of training on the three systems, the DMP system malfunctioned for months, one iDTer camera had to be relocated due to improper coverage of our HOA pool so it didn't detect kids hopping the fence, they failed to implement an escalation policy for 8-10 months, and they constantly gave us a two-week response time for any issue. Now one iDTer camera is out, they did not disconnect from the DMP properly, so we've been down for days, and they did not hand over the Geovision control properly, so now that is down, which has given me the time and impetus to post this review of this un-dependable company. Stay away from them.

The technician was on time, knowledgeable, and went over the system to make sure there were no problems before he left, and also adjusted a lose sensor in one window. He easily earned the $90 an hour in the time and care he took with the system.
Description of Work: Trouble signal from the house security system showing a faulty battery. I called Dependable, and they were very helpful, giving me all my options from picking up the battery and self installing, to mailing it to me or my choice of having a technician come out. The customer service tech told me it was so easy to do myself, but since it was out of my reach, I had the tech come out, and he replaced the battery and answered all my questions on the system. But I appreciated the fact that she was honest about how easy it was for me to do it, to save me money.
