+ -1 moreI am very disappointed with this company, they have had ample opportunity to tell me that they don't want to do the work. They received a detailed photograph first and said that they did that type of work and could do it. They sent someone to my home, the owner I'm assuming, and that person saw the problem and stated that they could do the work and quoted me a price. So they could have said no at any point and it would not have been a problem--but instead they have strung me along for over a month since first contact and won't commit to either doing the work or not doing the work. I contacted them because they had received a high rating on Angie's List. I can only give them an F- in all categories. This is a shame because I have three large bathroom counter tops that I was planning on replacing with marble tops later this year. I definitely won't be calling Davis Stone, Inc. for that job.
Description of Work: On January 16,I contacted this company by e-mail and sent them a photo of my granite counter top problem. I asked if they did repair work or knew of someone that did. They promptly called me back and said that they did do that type of work and made an appointment for the following Tuesday, January 21 to have Ken Davis stop by to give me an estimate. He came by saw the problem and assured me that they could fix it for me and gave me a general cost of around $275.00. After returning to his shop he e-mailed me and said that the cost would be $300.00. On January 22nd I responded to his e-mail and said that the $300.00 price was good for me. He then e-mailed me to say that his shop was a little busy and that I would be put into the rotation. Then I heard nothing more from them. I have called twice since last e-mail contact and each time they are polite, apologize and say that they will look into it and get back to me and never do.

+ -1 moreEverything went great. Davis Stone did exactly what they said they would do and when they said that they would do it. They also afforded us some much needed flexibility as our schedules moved dependent upon other trades. Even at the and quot;11thand quot; hour when we asked Davis Stone if they could squeeze-out yet another piece of granite to do a hearth, they took the change in stride and still met our schedule. Regarding price, Davis Stone was not the least expensive bid that we received; however, we think the overall value was well worth the price. When the tops fit perfectly; the edge detail matched seamlessly; and the honed surface finishes came out exactly as we had hoped, we knew we had made a great selection.
Description of Work: Davis Stone did an outstanding job in measuring, cutting and installing our granite counter and marble island tops. Their attention to detail, recommendations on cut locations and edge and surface finishes helped us realize the dream kitchen we had hoped for. Davis Stone came highly recommended and we would certainly pass that recommendation on equally as high.

+ 0 moreWe bought a remnant slab of granite for the top of a bathroom cabinet. They had an excellent selection, were extremely helpful, very patient, and did a fantastic job on the manufacturing and installation of the granite. A first-rate experience all the way around.

+ -1 moreVery nice work, kept me informed on the progress, did it the day they promised. Davis Stone also installed our kitchen and vanity granite counters in 2000 in our previous home. They did an absolutely fantastic job with that (e.g. pattern matching).
Description of Work: reattached bull nose of granite countertops in large outdoor grill kitchen. original installer used wrong glue not suitable for outdoor use. the two guys from Davis stone had to reattached the bull nose on all the granite counter tops we have outdoors.

+ 0 moreThe experience was excellent. They gave us a quote right away for how much it would cost and told us it would be ready at a certain time. It was ready at the specified time and they came out and installed it right away. They were pleasant.
Description of Work: They installed a granite buffet top and that was all they did for us.
