They were very professional for all work, responding to all our requests and provided expert and very helpful assistance. Their estimates were reasonably priced and they showed up on time and completed the work quickly and with very good quality. They demonstrated strong knowledge for our irrigation needs in the yard.

It was very good actually. The person that came was very friendly and he actually explained a lot. It was the first house that I bought and he actually explained a lot. I was very happy.

I needed anti siphon valves replaced. The tech came in on time for an estimate. Based on the estimate I decided to just have them repair the valves rather than replacing them altogether. So he opened up the valve tops and replaced gaskets. After that they tested with water running and the leak was no more.

Checked water pressure, all settings for sprinkler system, and all the sprinkler functionality. Made recommendations for improvements (both installation, and pressure). Still awaiting a quote. Technicians were courteous and insightful.

Everything is working out extremely well. Watering uses less water and the grass is doing great.

This is truly a 5-Star company! We moved to San Diego 14 months ago; inheriting the sprinkler systems that were here. While our systems came on when they were supposed to, they also started to come on days not so designated. We called Steve last week and he sent Juan out today to survey and do the work. Turned out we needed a new controller. Juan was quickly able to combine both controllers into one. Juan checked out the system then took the time to explain how the system worked; had us run through it and stayed until we fully understood the process; no pressure. Steve and Juan are very knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and customer service oriented. They will not try to sell you a Cadillac when they know a Chevy will do the job just as well. We could not be more satisfied with the work and professionalism; truly an honest down-to-earth company. Thanks for a job very well done!!

Dame Landscape was on-time, thorough, and pleasant to work with. He showed me areas that needed replacing and fixed areas that could be fixed on the spot. Rather than making me wait to do the estimate, he said he would email it to me and he did within a reasonable time. I was extremely pleased and plan to have them back to do some more work.

Found on Angie's List with very good reviews, confirmed similar reviews (though few) on Yelp and good record on BBB. Fixed two sprinkler issues ? leaking head and leaking control valve ? all in one hour Angie?s list deal. Also answered several miscellaneous questions about general lawn and sprinkler issues. Enrique is a nice guy, speaks English fairly well, with moderate Spanish accent. Scheduling was a small problem, when he suddenly showed up at door 1 hour early, so I had to quickly juggle tasks. Owner (Mr. Dame) was a nice guy and did scheduling and initial sales call on phone. Would recommend and use again ? however they are in Escondido and are somewhat far from us in Spring Valley, so may not be an option in an emergency.

The technician was prompt, friendly, professional and very thorough. I requested additional services and received a prompt, reasonable proposal and scheduled the service immediately. I would highly recommend.

They fixed a sprinkler problem and reprogrammed my controller. This is the second time I have used their service and I have been extremely impressed both times. They are in my "rolladex" now. You can count on them with confidence. Do: Call them Dont: Hesitate.

They had to reschedule my appointment due to the rain but arrived promptly at the rescheduled time. They gave me several options to fix the leak in the sprinkler and I chose the easy fix and they completed the service. So far the leak is fixed and I am very happy with their service and professionalism in not trying to sell me on the more expensive fix.

I purchased the sprinkler tuneup deal from Angie's List. As soon as I purchased I was contacted by Steve to schedule the appt. Very good responsiveness and very flexible in his appt scheduling. The day of the appt. Daniel was on time and extremely polite. He was very efficient in going about his tuneup routine and had no problem with me talking to him throughout the process and asking questions about my current irrigation setup. He communicates well and was easy to work with. This is something I put a lot of value in! I asked about further work to optimize my system. He took the notes he needed and Steve followed up promptly with estimates for the work. If we are going to spend the money on doing the work, I will be working with Steve and his team!

It turned out fine. They provided feedback on how to use the already existing sprinkler system. I saw them on Angies list.

Jeez, not even a thank you! The owner of this company, Steve Dame, gets a D- for customer service. First I asked if he could personally stop by at some point to answer some questions about the job. His reply back...."I wouldn't be able to look at this personally but one of my foremen can come by". Of course I understand one's time is a precious resource, especially for a business owner, but this job wasn't an $80.00 Angie's List Tune-Up special either. It didn't sit too well but I decided to go forward with the work anyway. To make a long story short, Dame Landscape got the job done but I doubt I will ever use them again. If you are the kind of customer who prefers to do all of your communication through your computer (35 e-mails exchanged, not one call or visit) then Steve Dame is your kind of guy. ,

I was expecting at least some adjustment to some of the sprinkler heads and the timing but nothing - he even took our zone-guide. We still have dry spots and we are $85 poorer.

the service went alright. II thought it would be a good idea to have them come out because there is one spot where our grass seems to die. Dame landscape didn't really think we had any issues, actually they mentioned that our sprinklers are very well set up. However I believer we have now couple issues certainly more than before. I know that one sprinkler is all of sudden watering out walkway, which it did not do before, and while I can adjust that I wish it would have been not changed. Moreover, they changed the timing of our sprinkler system, but did change it to PM rather than AM times, so now while we are sitting in the garden we are getting rained on. Also something I can fix, but i wish they would have been more careful.

Everything went great. You wouldn't have known any work was done because it was so clean afterwards. We contacted him the first time several years ago and they have been super for various things over the years.

The bender board was done pretty well. The decomposed granite on the walkways was done pretty well, though they had less than they needed by about a couple of cubic yards. The sprinklers added to the lawn were positioned well but a couple of the lines that supplied them were not buried deep enough (will explain later). The partial lawn sodding was a disaster. The sod was hybrid burmuda but because of the time of year it was hybrid burmuda sod overseeded with annual rye. The sod was placed in an area we had been having a hard time keeping covered with grass during the summer because it was shaded by a large Mulberry tree. We watered it daily as instructed and at the time the Mullberry tree had no leaves (deciduous) so the sod should have taken well. After about 1 1/2 months of watering as instructed we called and spoke with the owner of Dame landscaping about the fact that the sod was coming in poorly. He came out and did little more than scratch his head and saying that it should have grown with the soil preparation that was done as long as it was watered as instructed. It was watered as instructed but I asked what he meant by soil preparation and he said something about amendments to the soil and I told him there were no amendments because I was monitoring the progress of the job and the soil preparation amounted to roughing up the soil and laying the sod, no amendments added and I told him so. He said to increase the watering of the area to see if it would help. When we asked him if his suggestions didn't help would he make it right He hemmed and hawed and wouldn't committ himself. His suggestion didn't help and he didn't followup. The sodding was the last part of the job and the crew was in a big hurry to finish the job on Friday. One other thing is that the crew did not have the tools required to do some of the job. I let them use our wheel barrow, spreading and leveling rake and some shovels because they didn't have them with them and subsequently left them crusted with decomposed granite and dirty. We have since replact lawn with EasyTurf so our dogs won't get muddy and dirty on the part of the lawn that was resodded (that's when I discovered an irrigation line that they added was only about 2" below the surface). We do not recommend Dame Landscape and will not use them again.
