From planning to install to final turn on all went extremely well. They even recommended a roofer prior to installation in order to replace the the tar paper. I would highly recommend doing this prior to putting in solar especially if your roof is 20+ yrs old. Baker Solar was extremely flexible with appointments and even finished the job days earlier than expected. The system was even turned on remotely so I didn't have to be home. Now I'm generating power and getting credits for my Electric portion of my SDG&E bill. Very happy with the overall process. I would definitely recommend and hire in an instant in the future. By the way most of my neighbors had Baker Electric Solar install their solar panel system too.

Everything was done quickly and very professionally. It's been about 3 years, and the converter failed recently. They ordered a new one and replaced it all under warranty. We've been very pleased with them.

From the quote process through the installation, we were always kept up-to-date on where we were in the process. Appointments were always on time - the installation went smoothly. I would highly recommend them!

Great experience. We started looking at solar this summer and I did quite a bit of research before calling companies. In the end, I narrowed it down to three and had them come to my home for a consultation. We met with Eric Ramirez from Baker and his attitude and presentation sold it for us. He was knowledgeable and asked about what we needed and wanted to achieve as opposed to just trying to sell us something. The entire process was easy and efficient. Installation day was a breeze and we are completely satisfied with the system and the monitoring service provided. I'd also add that the city inspector commented on the quality of the work.

Contacted them for solar estimate about 2 yrs ago, but never got a visit or a quote. They sent me an email about 1 year later asking why I had not taken their quote. I emailed them back with a negative response and got call from supposed salesman trying to set appointment, but I was involved in too much at that time and declined. Finally about a month ago, they cold called me and I made an appointment with the scheduler, supposedly with the same salesman for the following Monday. The Thursday before the appointment I got confirming emails from both the scheduler and the salesman. Monday rolled around and no call, no salesman, no email and nothing in the week since then.

Everything wen fine, except the invert was dignosed as defective upon installation. The supply system Baker uses forced us to wait till a replacement could be sent from Solaredge and then schedule for a swap out. it is insane that they do not keep a spare or two in their warehouse. Forced a 8 day delay in having my system operational.

This company is top notch. The people I dealt with were extremely knowledgeable and were thorough and complete in all the work they did. In my opinion they are the best and I would not hesitate to recommend Baker Electric Solar.

Good. From sales to close out, Baker is very good. Only negative is office communication. Had to email project coordinator for updates, and responses were not thorough.

Unfortunately this install went poor. This is my second install with Baker Electric. First one went flawless. This is our second house. For background we recommended them to 5 others which we made significant referral fees from so I do not write this negative review lightly. This second install which cost 1.5 x the price of the first. When told would take 4-6 months it now is 9 months out. Reasons for delay: did not find septic system to county (which Baker did finally pay for, positive), had to relocate inverters, did not have subpanel placed, did not have upgrade panel when SCE came to turn off electricity, failed county inspection, and completed wrong program application for SCE and had to redo at end of install (BTW this application is the one of the first things done early in process). I was willing to forgive because sales person was very responsive to each complaint and we finally got turned on 4 days ago. However last straw is that now our system doesn't produce the electricity expected. Even sunpower monitoring program tells us there is a problem with panel and our project manager tellsa us everything is ok and is asking for our final payment. Not sure what to do....

The actual sales and installation process were excellent, responsive and professional. Everything was really impressive and you felt you were working with a great organization. Things were different after the installation. Baker was supposed to paint the conduit to match the house (an HOA requirement) and provide a website link to monitor usage. After a couple weeks, neither of these things had happened (no big deal), so I emailed the customer service reps. I never heard back. A week later I followed up with the customer service reps again, and again, no response. A week later, I emailed the sales rep and he responded that he would make sure someone got back to me and took care of it. 10 days later, still no response from anyone. While the actual process of getting solar was great, service after sale is also very important, and based on my experience, once Baker is done with you, they're done with you.

AMAZING! From our initial contact with Scott O'Hara, who explained our options, to Tony & the team that actually installed the system, we were very pleased. They were professional, courteous and just plain nice to work with. As non-Spanish speakers, it was refreshing to hear English being spoken. Baker was recommended by friends and we have already recommend Baker to friends & we don't even have the system operational yet since we have to go through the inspections.

I have nothing but good things to say about our experiences with Baker. Most people who review solar companies tend to have favorable reviews (regardless of the company they used). It is natural for people to want to be happy after spending such a huge sum of money. And that feeling is always validated when one gets their first electricity bill and it says $0. The real gauge of happiness with a solar investment and choice of vendor should be performed at 5 or 10 years when system efficiency and problems with installation start to show themselves. Unfortunately that data is not available. That being said, I have very positive feelings about Baker. Now they are absolutely more expensive than their counterparts. From my perspective this increase expense comes from three areas... 1. They use quality products that are more likely to stand the test of time (and are guaranteed to do so) rather than using inferior Chinese products. 2. Their labor force consists of individuals who are specifically trained to do what they do. They are officially on the payroll of Baker. This is opposed to using a subcontracted installation company consisting of illegal labor. 3. Baker is a diversified company with a long-standing reputation. This company will most likely be around 20 years from now. Whereas many of these other solar only companies will likely no longer exist (especially with upcoming changes to rate structure, net metering, and subsidies). I can also say that the level of professionalism, attention to detail and communication has far exceeded anything I have ever experienced with other projects of this size. I would recommend Baker to anyone who has made the decision to go solar.

Baker Electric Solar has their act together. They installed a top-quality system at a VERY competitive price. I ran a solar sales department for a decade so I am familiar with all the tricks of the trade and the places where solar companies present well but later cut corners or drop the ball. I got six quotes for our system and reviewed all of them in detail. Baker was on par with or better than the other companies in every category I was measuring, including price. Once I made the decision to go with them I was continuously surprised at how well and how often they communicated with me. The contract signing process was simple and straight-forward. The design was produced quickly, I had adequate time to review it, and all the little things I had discussed with Andrew Keepper, my salesperson, were represented on the design. I was constantly kept abreast of progress through emails and when it was time for installation the crews showed up on time and got to work. They were clean, polite, fast, and clearly had all the right safety measures in place (harnesses, etc). We sailed through the inspection process and my system is now producing power. I have been amazed with the level of service and attention to detail from start to finish. They have managed to implement all of the best practices in the industry and it makes a big difference in the customer experience. I will be recommending Andrew at Baker Electric anytime someone asks me who to call for a solar system.

Baker Electric and his entire staff were the most professional in all aspects of the effort. They were always prompt, never late, efficient in their work effort, clean and orderly at all times. They provided exactly as promised, and always prompt to address any questions. I own 4 homes, 3 are rented, I have owned a home for over 50 years. They're extremely clean and neat. They checked with me before they did anything. There was one little snafu and they came out and fixed it. They said they wanted me to be happy and that you like it. They did a great job and professional and knowledgeable from the time of our initial meeting on. They were the best estimate we received by far in terms of being clear, professional, reliable and honest. Other companies were flaky. Paul who came out and walked us through the system spent the entire morning explaining how to use the system including how to go to the Baker Electric website to show electric usage day, mont, hour, etc. He also helped us link the accont to our utility SDG&E to further monitor usage. We’ve recommended them to a few other people.
