Pedro did an excellent job...he is very knowledgeable..made great recommendations on plants..Pedro and his staff worked very hard, very professional..he even found a leak in the irrigation that we were unaware....will be having him come back to trim the fruit trees and other projects.He spent 2 days completing the project...which was really good considering the amount of work that needed to be done...the plants he provided were very healthy..

Once they got here, they worked very hard and got it done. I also added on some additional work such as purchasing some succulents, which they planted for me, and I'm going to have them back out next week.

Not very good! The problem is that I ended up ordering a lot more services than the gentleman was able to do. And I kind of feel like he tried to bait and switch me. I am very disappointed with the quality of work. He tried to raise the price on me for by a few thousand dollars when it came time to settle up the debt. It was really uncomfortable, I ended up arguing with him afterwards and we ended up settling on an amount that was still higher than what I was anticipating. I would never recommend him again! He went over his head, he tried to do too much and he is not capable of it. When you have got a guy coming over asking to borrow your tools to do landscaping work! This should be a red flag! I don?t know what kind of reviews he has, I didn?t check, I just saw the special. I thought it was a pretty good special. I ended up ordering probably 2 or 3 times as many plants and he tried to charge me over a $100 for each plant. After arguing, upon arguing, I brought up Angie?s List and all of a sudden he went, ?O?well, let me see what else I can do!? Then he tried to come back down in price. The quality of work ? terrible! I have already fixed things and repair things. He claimed he could do pavers, he claimed he could do all kinds of other things, the guy is not capable. There was no contact until about 2 or 3 weeks after purchasing the deal. It was a really weird situation; his English is broken. He said he could be out on a Thursday. And on the date that I had scheduled, from out of nowhere without confirming, he just called and said, ?he is here!? He had this big giant truck with his big name on it and looked like he had this great big business and he can do all these things he was offering. Again, he is nothing more than a small time landscaper, just trying to act like he is a big business and he is not! I was quoted $3,500 to tear out dead grass and some trees, they weren?t big trees, they were like vine type of trees. Then come back and plant Succulent plants, put drip lines in. Which there was already irrigation, so all he to do was change the irrigation caps to drip lines, which was not a lot. And then bring in something called VG, which is decomposed granite which looks like gravel and to basically do a good job with that. During the process, he kept asking me do I want a larger plant here, do I want a larger plant there. I said, sure it sounds good, I figure it would be just a few hundred dollars extra, no problem. In my mind, I figured I owed him about $4,400 or $4,300. He came back and said that I owed him $8,300. I kept telling him to look around. He would said, well, there is more work than you know!? Then he tried to charge me delivery fees for everything he came back to my house. He wanted to charge me a $200 delivery fee, and he has a giant dump truck! I asked him, why would you charge someone delivery fees separate! And he starting adding up all these different little charges and saying, well you are not seeing all the work that we put in and I had my crew out here. I said, you guys are over matched for something that was very basic! The quality was not good! You are supposed to excavate some of the material when you replace it with other material, for example the VG. He didn?t do that, and I have lines coming up through the VG, I have paper that is meant for the weeds coming up through the VG. So I have been having to fix things and do things over. When he wanted $8,000, he & I got into an agreement about it and I was very upset! I still ended up having to paid him $5,800 for a job that he originally quoted me for $3,500. At the very end when I brought up the Angie?s List thing, I said, how is it you are going to charge me all this money for all these plants, when you are charging $300 for 20 plants or more than that? I said, your math doesn?t make any since! He said, well let me look at everything. First of all, he asked me for a pen & paper and a calculator, and he starts doing chicken scratches & writes all these numbers down I swear it looked like the Rainman was doing this! Then he says he thinks he has got it worked out. Now your bill is $7,000! It made no sense! He is one of those guys that comes out and says; Oh? no problem we will take care of you! And then tries to up sell you & swindle you. So, he broke it down to $5,800 asked if I was happy with that number. I said; no I am not happy with any of these numbers, I want you out of my house, I want you out of my yard, get out! I said, this is all I am going to give you and I am done with you. He says, please, please, I worked it out with you, so give me a good rating on Angie?s List!?, before he left. Ridiculous rip off!

Except for setting an agreed upon time, it went very quickly. Waiting to see results in 4 months.

It was pretty good. I was a little disappointed because I thought more was included with it but on the whole, I was very, very pleased. I am planning on using them again. I just needed some more clear explanation of the plan, but other than that, he was really good. I was pleased.

Everything requested was effectively done.

I called October 1 to ensure the appointment was set. They said it was and they would call 2 hours before the appointment. They never called and they never showed. I ended up getting the refund for this deal because of their unresponsiveness. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Everything went great! After a bit of difficulty finding a schedule that worked for both of us (no fault as they are based out of Escondido, my work schedule can be unaccommodating) we were able to meet up. The whole installation process took about an hour, and it all looks really good! Pedro was incredibly helpful when we were feeling indecisive about what should go where. They also cleaned up all the debris. Would definitely recommend to anybody trying to boost their yard appearance.

Pedro brought a wide selection of plants for me to choose from, and he and two assistants arrived on time. They worked quickly and competently as well as thoroughly cleaning up when they were finished. Very courteous and professional throughout the process.

Incredible! I have never seen such hard working crew ! I've used many company for different jobs and have to say Pedro is probably the most honest and kind man I've ever met. I would highly recommend him and would use his company again if I need more work done.

Nice man who seemed very knowledgeable, helpful crew. Drainage arrangement looks great, the new small platform/step out the back door looks good (that was extra), and it's a relief to have the old rotted boards replaced. New path looks nice.

All work was completed as discussed in initial visit. Crew of four were efficient and polite. Bushes were nicely thinned and shaped.

I contacted the owner of passion for gardening. i needed the work done soon as i was selling my home and needed pictures taken. i asked him to please get to me at his first opportunity. he asked me to text my number and address and he would call me before he came over. he never called. second opportunity was the date he scheduled originally when the 1199.99 purchase was made. he never showed or called. i would NOT recommend his service at all! when i called him the next day I got a bunch of excuses as to why he didn't show up. he says he didn't have my number ( which is in the form for service when signing up to start with) when I told him that all he could do is studder. I understand things can happen, but you should let your customer know ahead of time. Please use caution when using this provider he is unreliable and i am going to seek help elsewhere. he has a passion for something its not gardening though.

Excellent work. Crew of 6 arrived on time and worked all day (10+ hrs.), continually except for a short lunch break. Each worked very hard, and seemed to have specialized skills for the tasks undertaken. The gentleman who trimmed a large Magnolia tree in the front of the house is an artist. The owner, Pedro, takes his work and reputation seriously. He was personally on site the entire time, himself working with his crew and at the same time making sure work was done well, and, most importantly, safely. Pedro is also very knowledgeable regarding a wide variety of plants. His company is aptly named. At first I thought the rates might be a little high, but now that I look at the collosal improvements, all accomplished in a day, I believes his rates are more than fair. I intend to have Pedro back to do some landscaping and irrigation work. Highly recommended.

Very well. Pedro came out initially to look at our plan and gave us an estimate for the additional work we wanted done. He came back within 2 weeks ( our schedule was the delay) and did the install in one day from 7AM until 4:00 PM. He made suggestions to improve our plan and the yard came out looking great. He also gave my husband suggestions on how to fertilize and water the existing palm trees which have not been doing too well We will use him again - in fact he is going to come back out to take out some trees that are too close to our house and fence, and to trim some others.

Pedro and his gang were GREAT!! They worked hard in the heat and finished all my projects in two days. They were thoughtful, knowledgeable, honest and did everything as promised. I am completely satisfied with their work. I would recommend them to everyone without hesitation. I think the negative responses that I see online as totally from miscommunication. I made sure to get everything in writing as sometimes I had a little trouble understanding Pedro. He and his workers know what they are doing and did it all to my satisfaction. I bought the Angie’s deal for 20 succulents and added the upgrade to my irrigation system to drip irrigation in most areas, mulch and some tree trimming. I will hire Pedro again when needed! Thank you to Pedro, Marco and the other two hard workers!

Initially, we had a hard time getting a hold of him. He is not a good business person. He was supposed to be here today to bring the plants, but he didn't even remember having came to my home to discuss the landscaping plans.

They were terrific! We're having them back to do a 2000sf turn installation. The only thing to watch out for is if you get a package deal (e.g., 40 hrs), make sure you keep track of how many guys worked their respective hours. The boss wasn't at the 2nd job, and thought I owed him because his 3 guys said they worked 8 hrs each, but they only worked about 6.5 hrs each. I almost had to pay more, but Pedro believed me (plus, our security cameras had it on tape).

I communicated with him on Wednesday and he said that he would come out today (which is Friday) I have not heard from Him. I had to initiate contact with the provider, usually with an Angie's List deal, they contact me.

Pedro was incredibly quick to respond and completed the job in 2 days. He arrived early one morning to look at the space and got a few of our preferences and ideas. He returned the next morning with many varieties of plants and placed them in the yard where he thought they would look best. We gave him our approval and he and his helpers began digging up old plants, planting new ones, advising on fertilizer (and frequency), changed our sprinklers to a drip system and applied mulch. They did a great job!

It was terrible. It turned out beautiful. He did a really good job, but in the contract it was stated that if there were any charges, it would be given to us prior. He did his work and then he came to us and said he needed a check for $1500. We said we already paid that and he said it was for labor. We were majorly taken advantage of and we're not happy. They were on time. I had gone on Angie's List and I have seen the other reviews, that's why we hired them. It popped as one of the Big Deals, so we decided to go ahead and give it a shot. I would advise others to definitely use them but make sure that they are extremely clear about how much money is to be spent because if not, he's going to take advantage.

He was very responsive on the phone and with emails. Didn't get to take it any further because I was out of their coverage area. It was a great price, but I mistakenly bought a deal that was valid for the San Diego area, and I'm in Orange County...

. I enjoyed talking with Mr. Yanez., His team was there as promised and they even got some work in before the big rain storm. He laid out the plant configuration. and redid my irrigation system so that it would work more efficiently with new drip system. The work looks good and it seems to be working fine. He made some suggestions to help maintain the plants as well. Plan to have him come back and do some additional work.
