 + 0 moreThey did a great job. They really were terrific. We would call them again for some other minor work to be done. My experience was very good. The sub-contractors that they worked with provided very good quality. The main thing was they really stayed on schedule and on budget. The $140,000 was the original estimate for all the work that they wanted done and they stayed very close to that. They also stayed very close to the timeline that they gave us as well. Their professionalism was excellent. The lead people that we talked to; the designer, the owner were very accessible. They were very easy to work with. They were great. Their punctuality was very good.
Description of Work: The Xlart Group did remodeling on our house. We added a room. They did the tongue in groove ceilings all throughout my house in about 5 different rooms; including my living room and the new family room that they made. We remodeled our kitchen and remodeled 2 bathrooms.

 + -1 moreI met with Shachar to discuss project scope. Within a couple days, his team were able to provide a proposal to address the project specs. We met again to go over the proposal and do a walk thru of the site. His excitement is contagious. His philosophy is that a construction project, regardless of size (small or large), is a work of art and that is his business card. People see the workmanship and that reflects directly on his company and himself. He is extremely professional and patient in explaining every aspect of the project from planning, to execution, timetable and payment schedule. Execution was excellent. He delivered as promised, on time and on time as spec'ed out. The project turned out great!
Description of Work: Rehab project of a tri-level rental town home. Remodelled 2-full baths. 1- powder room, 3-bedrooms, kitchen, living room and laundry room. Install new floors and moulding thru out the unit. Install recessed lighting. New paint.

 + 2 moreThis was the second time I used XLArt for remodeling my late 1940's craftsman style home in Altadena. I went directly to them without hesitation as they done a exceptional job on remodeling my kitchen and den four years ago. The project was scheduled a month in advance to accomodate my personal schedule. During the time before the work actually started, the project manager was in touch and we spent an entire day together shopping for new tile and fixtures for the bathroom and office. The work started on time with the workers quickly helping me move large items out of my house into the storage unit. Demolition promptly began and was completed the first day. The work proceeded steadily with the dedicated crew arriving on schedule each day, and was completed two days ahead of the projected finish date. The work crew also helped me move all of my furniture back into the house at the end of the project, which was very much appreciated. As expected, their craftsmanship was top notch! I had the utmost confidence in the ideas for design, color and accessory choices presented by my project designer, Mathilda, as well as the company manager Shachar. They were always concerned about my opinion and promptly addressed any concerns that I had. They truly cared about their work and about my satisfaction. The finished project is beautiful and I am so pleased to have made the right choice again in choosing XLArt. I have recommended XLArt to friends, some who said that I am the only one they know who has been totally satisfied with the contractor they chose for their remodeling project.
Description of Work: Remodeled master bathroom installing new travertine tile on floors and tub and shower area, installed new vanity, new lighting, ceiling heating and vent; installed hardwood flooring in living and dining area, 2 bedrooms and hallway; installed ceramic tile flooring in office; scraped acoustic ceilings and resurfaced, installed crown moulding throughout the house; installed, painted and stained new interior doors in the office and bedroom; painted one bedroom and touched up painting throughout the house.

Description of Work: They remodeled our kitchen and added on a room which we use as a family room. They also replaced the ceiling in our living room, kitchen, family room and bedroom with a tongue in grove wood paneling. They remodeled two bathrooms.

And now 7 years later now they are building an addition to our Commerical property. They have an amazing staff, they are truly a turn key solution. Everything is done in house from engineering to design. The entire staff is excellent in communication throughout our projects. Shachar (President) can be seen daily on our project. When you call you will be greeted by (Sam) she calm at all times and professional not to mention patience. We have had the pleasure of having 2 of the most talented designers in the business (Noam) she was our designer on our residential project and now (Mathilda) that we are currently working with us on our commerical project.  + 0 moreThe entire experience from beginning to end was phenomenal ! I felt confident throughout the design process and construction phase that XLArt was going to do a beautiful job and they did. I loved working with the designers because with just a few photos from magazines, they knew exactly what I was looking for from a design perspective. Plus, with their knowledge of what is available in the various industries, they exceeded my visions of what I thought I wanted and gave me what I now love ! I also cannot say enough nice things about the workers who did all the work and installation. They were all wonderful workers. They were all very kind and professional. They respected my home and my family at all times. I never came back to a mess or felt like I was living in a demolition zone. From beginning to end, the project was right on track and work was actually completed in less time than projected. I have only positive things to say about everyone who I came into contact with at XLArt !!! I just thought they were all the most wonderful people to work with and cannot wait to do another project with them.
Description of Work: This was a full kitchen and family room remodel including resurfacing of backyard concrete pad to give integrity to the overall design concept. XLArt's designers produced working drawings which far exceeded my visions for the space! They researched and selected (with my approval) all appliances, fixtures, window casings/base boards, tile/stone and paint color. And, they assisted in the purchasing process and maintained contact with suppliers throughout construction. The kitchen and family room were stripped bare including all flooring. New cabinets, new caesarstone countertop, new tile backsplash and new tile flooring were installed. All appliances were installed including ventilation for the range hood and plumbing was done for the installation of the plumbing appliances. New window casings and base molding were also installed. New recessed lights and pendant lights were installed which also involved installation of new j-boxes. Plus, the ceiling was evened up for the lighting design. New framing and drywall was done to create a TV niche above the fireplace. A new electrical and cable outlet was installed behind the TV. The designers produced a new design in tile/stone to cover the existing brick fireplace and integrate the overall design of the kitchen/family room which provides a seamless flow of one room to the other. As part of the design, new slate was installed to the adjacent backyard concrete pad which provides a wonderful organic flow from inside to outside. The entire area including moldings/casings was painted. Special attention was also given to designing a circular countertop with custom base which also acts as a sit down eating area. XLArt also guided me in working with the cabinet maker and between the 3 of us, we came up with beautiful and functional cabinets which met all my design criteria.

 + -1 moreXlart was the 4th and final contractor I interviewed for the job and the moment their representatives came into my home I felt at ease. They had marvelous suggestions for a floor plan and design ideas and worked hard to stay within my budget. They arrived promptly on schedule, went right to work and worked steadily completing the project ahead of the projected time (less than six weeks). Each day when I returned home from work I saw progress. Someone from the company was in constant communication with me, keeping me apprised of whatever was going on concerning the project. Their workers were dedicated to the job and showed their expertise and pride in workmanship. I could tell that they were very much respected by their supervisors. The one or two flaws that were pointed out were promptly corrected. Without a doubt, I would go directly to XLArt for any other of my remodel projects.
Description of Work: Complete kitchen & den remodel including demolition of kitchen cabinets, counter top, back splash and removal of all floor coverings; removal of an interior wall between the kitchen and den, re-framed windows; installed 2 posts and a load bearing header; relocated water heater to outside rerouting water and gas lines; installed new electrical lines for dishwasher, refrigerator, installed exhaust line for ceiling range hood; installed all new cabinets, faucets, fixtures, granite counter tops, ceramic tile floor and all appliances.

 + 0 moreResults exceeded expectations, particularly in architectural design and interior design. 1st 6 months were spent in design. This period was tedious but well spent because The XLArt Group, Inc. has policy of making all design decisions during this period, leaving nothing undecided for the construction team. Architect and interior designer were flexible and patient, but in their wisdom did not allow the client to go outside the overall craftsman design. Building plans were accepted by City of Los Angeles, Department of Building & Safety, because design team was knowledgeable of the Los Angeles building code. Building permit was issued on time and without incident. 2nd 6 months were spent in construction. Because all design decisions had been made up front, client encountered no unexpected change orders, no material unexpected expense. Construction quality met all expectations. Construction was completed on time, and client moved in on the originally agreed upon date. Financial administration of the contract proceeded in accordance with terms of the contract, without incident. City of Los Angeles inspectors and construction lending inspectors signed off routinely throughout the process, without incident. No liens were filed. Client recommends The XLArt Group, Inc. with no reservations whatsoever.

 + 0 moreIt is often said that if it sounds too good to be true that it is however, from my first meeting with the owner and designers of The XLart Group to the first night that I spent in my amazing remodeled home the process was nearly flawless. I feel like a bit of an infomercial each time I sing the praises of this company to one of the many friends and neighbors that have commented on the transformation of my home but truly I just can't say enough good things! The entire process from design through build was easy, fun, exciting and pain free! I wish I had recorded images of the faces of the many people that have toured my beautiful new home when I tell them that both the time frame and budget came in just as promised!!! The finished product just shines with your company's integrity and professionalism. I can not recommend working with this company enough!
Description of Work: Complete remodeling of my 3000 square foot home. My home was taken down to the studs, redesigned and rebuilt. Also, the front exterior and landscaping as well as a back deck including a water feature and landscaping were all designed and completed by The XLart Group.

 + 0 moreVivian originally tried to sell me on higher value (and of course cost) tile and flooring, but that was probably my fault for not being completely clear about what I wanted. She was overall a pleasure to work with, calling every day during the remodel and coming by several times over the two and a half weeks it took to complete. This company will not start work until you have purchased everything and it is on the premises. That way they can meet promised deadlines. They said three weeks. It took two and a half. I was not crazy about the supervisor; I thought he was rude and indifferent to my desire to keep the rest of my house clean. After a few complaints to Vivian, he started making sure that floors were protected and workers cleaned up after themselves. The tile guys were great! Three guys working in that little bathroom, although they killed some of my grass because they used it as a staging area. The final touches took longer than necessary, but everything was finally done right.
Description of Work: Complete remodel of guest bathroom. They tore out everything down to the studs. The only thing left was the recessed lights and the plumbing. They installed new tile floor, wainscot tile, freestanding tub, toilet and washstand/sink. They also installed a tub surround, mirror, wall sconces, one new recessed light (had to cancel one and move one) and new, exposed shower and tub fixtures.
