The crew was punctual, courteous and professional. We got the job that we were quoted on time and within budget. Chris Parks was patient, flexible and communicative as we worked through some of the challenges that our older home presented. Overall, we very pleased with the company and would recommend them enthusiastically.

Chris Parks responded to my email inquiry within a few hours. He came out and gave me a free quote the next morning. He started work within 2 days of getting my ok to start work. His crew was professional and cleaned up after each day. George Parks came over to check the work and finished up some last minute stuff. Ive received lots of complements. i love how my house looks! I recommended them to a friend this afternoon.

He was thorough and professional. He was also very easy to work with. I am already planning other things for him to do.

George Park's Roofing was amazing! Talk about taking on any project big or small! They came by because I needed some repairs done on my drip guard, it had come loose during a wind gust and was banging against my bedroom wall. They came by and were so nice, they actually did the repair for free rather than charge my for it because it was such a small issue. They also went ahead and quoted an estimate for roof coating for the future which we will definitely get done in order to cut down on cooling costs during the summer. I will refer everyone in my area to call them for any project!

called and spoke to Chris about a question I had regarding a roofing job which had been previously done on my house. He was polite, spent time on the phone with me and answered my question in its entirety. He even stayed on the phone with me while I found the original contract and went through it with me. Even though I have no need for a roofer at this time, when I do, I will definitely use this company. In today's market, he gets an A+ for speaking with me let alone spending the 5 minutes he did with me on the phone. I'm impressed. I have to give my address in order to get this review published, but PLEASE REMEMBER - NO WORK WAS DONE AT THIS TIME.

George was a pleasure to work with. I am really picky and have fired other lazy contractors in the past and his crew impressed me from start to finish. Being a investor I own a few places and he is my go to guy

The job went very well. It took 2 days. Chris was my contact with the company. I believe he is one of George's sons. He was very courteous and thorough in his explanations of the job to be done. He explained the materials they would use and why he chose them.he assured me of the quality of those materials and after researching them on line I was in agreement of his choices .. He was also very patient with my schedule. I wanted to be there during the process which meant we had to start it on a Saturday. Weather & the holidays prohibited a number of Saturdays but we finally got a beautiful Saturday to start the project. I found his guys to be fast & efficient. His foreman was wonderful & explained everything. I had an old ceiling fan that they took out and had repaired so I wouldn't have to adjust the opening in the ceiling to fit a new fan.His foreman also had it rewired .They left all areas around the house clean and all wiring and drain pipes were put back just as they had been. I will use them when I get ready to paint my homes exterior.I give them a premium rating.

Called for a roofing teardown and replace quote. Rather than arranging a time that worked for both of us, he inspected the house when i wasn't home (with my permission), and we discussed the quote over the phone. Fair price. Didn't hire because I had to delay the project completely due to unexpected circumstances.

I called George Parks to inspect the roof on a house I am looking to buy. George identified that the existing roof is beyond the point of repair and provided me we with what I would consider to be a very competitive price to have the roof completely replaced. If I end up going with this house I will definitely be giving George a call. Thanks again for your help!

I contacted and received three estimates from painting contractors using Angie's List. All were informed the work was elective and I was not in a rush. Chris Park's estimate was exceptionally low (approx 50% of two other bids), but lacked details regarding unattached structures discussed during the estimate visit. Angie's List reviews of George Parks Roofing and Painting were exceptionally high. There were no problems listed on Contractor State Licensing Board (CSLB) or Better Business Bureau. Based on the above information, I focused on George Parks Roofing and Painting as a first choice. I offered the job contingent on: 1. A more detailed description in the contract; 2. Documentation of Work Comp and General Liability Insurance; 3. Information on brand and grade of paint to be used; and 4.) That I be provided with an unconditional release after my final payment. (information requests that are recommended by CSLB and/or Angie's list in their publications - e.g. the lower left sidebar of Angie's List web site under Insurance) I am also aware that general liability insurance is not a standard requirement of the CSLB, but was something I indicated as important from the beginning of our e-mail communications. Assurances were made by Chris Parks that information requested would be made available and that scheduling would be best after first of the year. (approx 11 days away) On two occasions, there was an attempt by Chris Parks to schedule work prior to providing requested information. On one occasion he wanted to come early in the morning to have me sign a contract just before his crew would arrive. I responded that I did not want to schedule until I had the requested information and adequate time to review it. I finally received Certificate of Liability Insurance re: Work Comp which noted the insured as Allegiant Management Services Corp. I called the insurance agency (ATAS Ins.Services, Inc., San Diego) who said they had no record of General Liability Coverage for George Parks Painting and Roofing at their agency. On further inquiry regarding insurance I received the following from Chris Parks: "With all due respect its my opinion that you feel very suspicious and not trusting of my our company with that said I do not feel comfortable working for you on the project. Sometimes in life you get a gut feeling and I don't think we would have a good experience working together. I really do appreciate the opportunity but at this time we respectfully decline" After indicating I would write a review for Angie's list I received the following: ".... I would just like to sincerely ask you not to write negative information on Angie's List as it will only hurt my reputation and would not be fair as we never actually worked together. ..." I contacted the owner - George Parks. He concurred with his son's assessment regarding my inquires and their desire not to work with me. Summary: Suspicion of contractors is the reason for the existence of Angie's list and for due diligence before hiring one. I have written 7 reviews on a variety of contractors for Angie's List since May 2009. All of those reviewed were given an A rating. I have also interviewed and had follow up questions with dozens of contractors over many years. The response to inquiries by this company is unique in my experience and surprising based on their ratings.

We've used this company for several of our projects. They do as they say, when they say. Nice people to deal with.

Overall, the job went very well. This is a family owned and run operation, Chris Parks, the owner, came and explained the job thoroughly. The crew started the job on Tuesday and finished up on Saturday. The company has offered 5 years warranty. They cleaned up very thoroughly after the job was completed. We'll a good rain to really test the job quality, but I am confident that if needed, the company will honor its warranty and resolve anything that may come up. I'd use them again and refer them to anyone interested in re-roofing.

Unable to work with this contractor.

They came out and made an estimate then started the work at the end of the week. Rain was coming and they finished up prior to the rain. They were professional and helpful. House looks great.

They were very courteous and had reasonable prices. They came on time and did just what they said they were going to do. The guy in charge took pictures and showed me what they had done and explained why. They always offer the option for repairs, in addition to doing a whole new roof, so they did this work to extend the life of my roof--which is a good thing if you're watching you're budget and don't have enough to re-do the whole roof. I am planning to use their services in the future.

Chris came out promptly, assessed the roof, and provided an estimate. However, he missed identifying the reason for the water damage to one of the fascia boards (which was an improperly done repair job done by another roofing company) as well as an area around my chimney which needed some patching. Both these areas were identified and fixed by another company.

Chris and I met a few weeks earlier to discuss my roof needs. He was very professional and provided all the details I needed for the job. I had met with about three other roofing contractors before Chris, but after our meeting I was convinced he and his crew were going to be able to take care of the new roof. I then called Chris with a time dilemma that I needed the roof completed within 5 days. I was moving out and new tenants were moving into my place and the roof needed to be completed before they moved in. At first he was not sure he could pull it off, but he called me back and they started the next morning on a Friday and the roof was completed Sunday. His team did a great job and were were very please with the out come.

The work was completed in a fairly timely fashion but was seriously overpriced for the work performed. They basically replaced some shingles, sealed some flashing, replaced a gutter and installed a vent for about $2500 which took them a total of about 6 hours total to complete. The work was good but overpriced.

George Parks Roofing did a complete and professional job of replacing the roof on our house. From arrival for the quoting process through completion and clean up, Chris, of George Parks, represented his company in a most professional and courteous way. My experience with George Parks roofing was very refreshing, based on previous experiences with other general contractors in the past. Punctuality, Presentation, and Price were all represented with complete professionalism. I highly recommend George Parks Roofing!

I found George Parks Roofing here on Angie's List to replace my roof. I enjoyed working with them so much that I hired them to paint the outside of my house as well. All work started and finished right on time. No hidden costs and they left the site as clean as they found it.

Mr. Parks, arrived with crew and materials on June 8. Roof was removed, replaced and clean up done in one day. Power washing was done on June 12. Painting and prep work completed by June 19. He was fantastic to work with and very attentive every step of the way.

Contacted them via AL and received an email saying it would be $200 to do the estimate. I replied saying this is the first of 2 jobs and asked them to reconsider. I got a call back from them shortly after trying to explain that "with the economy the way it is, we'd be driving around all over LA". My response was that I contacted them because they are literally down the street from the house. Charging for estimates is not acceptable.

WE MET, SCOPED OUT THE WORK, GAVE ME A QUOTE, HIS BROTHER DROPED OFF THE SAMPLES FOR ME TO CHOOSE FROM, QUIETLY AT MY FRONT DOOR., ONCE i CHOOSE THE COLOR. GEORGE LAID OUT EXACTLY START TO COMPLETION EXACTLY WHAT WOULD TAKE PLACE.....HE NEVER FAULTERED FROM HIS PLAN, AGAIN EXPERIENCE!
