Tree Service

About us

We are a full service tree company with 1 full-time and 2 part-time employees. I am an arborist certified by the International Society of Aborculture (ISA) #WE 3277 and have worked in the tree business for over 25 years. I charge $50.00 for a consultation regarding tree or pest problems but estimates are free. We also offer a payment plan for those in need of service but having trouble making ends meet. We use a sub contractor for spraying of pesticides and injections and a sister-company for very large jobs.

Brian was great! $50 well spent.
Description of Work: We hired Brian for a consultation at our new house. He identified the various tree specimens, their condition, and gave us advise on how to best care for them. Brian also gave us advise on how to proceed with the City on a complaint about a diseased tree in the parkway in front of our home.

Brian came to our home and thoroughly examined our yard before making an estimate. He was very helpful in explaining what types of trees we had, which ones needed to be trimmed (and why) and which did not need any work. He was able to point out exactly which limbs he thought needed to be trimmed (thanks to his laser pointer) and described how many hours the job would take. They arrived on time, got right to work and got everything done within the allotted time window. They even did a few extras such as trimming back part of a hedge, cleaning out gutters that caught some of their trimmings and cutting some of the larger limbs down to firewood size chunks for us to keep. Upon completion, they thoroughly cleaned up the branches and swept up the leaves and small bits leaving our yard as clean (or cleaner) than when they came.
Description of Work: Brian and his team trimmed our giant Chinese Elm as well as a few branches on some other smaller trees.

I was so impressed with the work completed by Brian and his crew. They did an excellent job. Brian also explains what he he is doing. Plus he keeps a close eye on the job his people are doing. He gets right in there and works too. I have a huge flowering shrub/tree which I love but didn't know how to trim. Brian is an artist with the clippers. The bush now looks so beautiful and the butterflies and humming birds still have the flowers to enjoy. I understand better how to keep it from getting overgrown so quickly. The trees look great, front and back. I'm definitely having Brian to look after my trees when they need work again. He and his crew did the best job I've ever seen on my trees and I've lived here for over 40 years. He finished faster, so charged less and they cleaned everything up. I'm happy.
Description of Work: Brian came to give an estimate for trimming trees in my front and back yards. It was $810.00, which was a similar price for work that had been done a few years ago. Although it ended up costing less. He is an arborist, which is important to me because several of my trees are in distress and I want to save them. Then on the 7th, he and his crew came and trimmed my trees. They trimmed away the dying branches from the front liquid ambers. In the back yard they trimmed and thinned the bottle brush trees. Also, Brian trimmed a young camphor tree so that it would grow properly. He explained what was needed to be done to make the tree grow strong.

The trees were trimmed with skill. They do not look topped-off or hacked up; they look natural and even. I was especially impressed with the care the owner and workers took of the pool and the yard. It happened that my pool cover was broken and was open. Very little debris got into the pool, despite its proximity to the trees. The men did a great job cleaning up their work and removed all the debris. They completed the work within the estimated time and budget. I will definitely use this company again.
Description of Work: The company trimmed two large Australian willows, a euphorbia and some hedges near a pool in the back yard.

Brian and his crew were just wonderful. No "communication" barriers what so ever. I will absolutely use them for my annual tree trimming and recommend them to my friends and neighbors.
Description of Work: I had a large, multi trunk, dead tree in my backyard. They removed it and left my yard clean. They were very careful of the surrounding landscaping which I appreciated very much.

Working with Brian from Out on a Limb was fantastic. I initially wanted him to come over and trim some trees to bring more light into the yard, but while he was over determining an estimate, he identified a number of trees that were rapidly growing up through the hedge as trees that grow very quickly and get quite large - something I didn't want. He was also very free with his advice, pointing out a damaged tree in the front yard and a tree that was starting to block out one of my citrus trees, items I was able to repair myself. Brian's team arrived on time. While working, they also identified some of the ash trees as having split trunks, with one side on the neighbor's side, but spoke to my neighbor and took care of it without a problem. It took them a little longer to complete the job than originally thought (another hour or so), and the price exceeded the initial estimate, but since he had provided the estimate as a maximum price, did not seem to be inclined to push for more. Still, they had done a great job, and even removed a small dead tree not in the original estimate, so we compromised and I paid for half of the excess time they had spent. I would definitely hire them again for any tree work I needed.
Description of Work: Trimmed 5 ficas trees, reducing them by several feet. Trimmed dead limb from tree and neatened appearance. Trimmed back large tree, making yard more open. Removed several ash trees that had awkwardly sprung up in the hedge. Pruned lemon tree to grow more upright. Removed small dead tree.

A bit of a shaky start (it took a couple phone calls to get a call back after initial estimate), but these guys are awesome. Worked hard, worked as fast as they could. Very fair price for how hard they worked. Very friendly and nice, the whole crew, and they did a great job. Highly recommend. p.s. Also very ethical - halted trimming one tree after discovering a bird's nest with two eggs :)

They did an excellent job and I was satisfied with their service. They were very personable, friendly and efficient. They came on time, explained what they are going to do and finished the work in timely manner. They cleaned up everything after the work was done.
Description of Work: I hired them to remove a huge pine tree and trimmed two other trees.
