Really great overall experience. Lewis in the office was extremely helpful, I had to add a vent to an attic opening on a deadline for an insurance policy, and had scheduled a handyman with Lewis for the day before. Unfortunately the handyman had a personal emergency, and Lewis called an hour in advance to apologize and help me reschedule for the next day. Again unfortunately it rained the next day! But I was able to extend my deadline and Lewis again setup a new appointment for me. Gil was punctual, friendly, professional, performed excellent quality work, and is working now on a bid for some additional work I need. I am very, very happy with this service! Thank you Mr. Handyman!!

James@MrHandyman came in and just did a fantastic job of re-tiling almost half of the shower stall in the master bath. It just looks great, quality superb, just very, very happy with the job performed, the bid process, explaining it all, and completing the work on-time, just as described. Ordered and paid August 6th. Didn't get the service contracted for on August 20th. Promised an immediate refund Aug 20th. Disputed on Paypal Aug 22nd. Chatted with Mr. Handyman person online on Aug 23. Promised immediate action from that person. Still no refund of my money as of August 30th! I want my refund now! Until then, I will continue to ask and tell as many people as i possibly can NOT TO USE Mr. Handyman OR Angie's List! They have both been completely unresponsive, unprofessional and in no way up to the standards both portray in their advertising. I just wanted 2 televisions and their sound bars connected properly. Unreal!

We provided Air Conditioning Unit. It was our first time working with the Company Mr. Handyman. Scheduler was prompt at returning emails/call to set-up job, they also confirmed day before. Technician who arrived to do the job did call morning-of to give us his ETA at our place. He was very professional and pleasant to deal with, had excellent knowledge of what to do to solve our particular window issues: Duplex built circa 1970 with metal casement/crank window; originally we wanted to permanently remove window, he suggested alternate solution: Keep window attached just in case in the "fully opened" position, minus hardware. His truck was stocked with required plywood & metal plate, screws etc... needed to extend our narrow window sill & secure AC Unit in place. Plexi glass was also required to finish the installation properly and secure the window (Told Scheduler we would need plexi glass, but there was no plexi glass on the truck -- communication issue) . This could have added $$$ to the job with shopping time by Technician. As we were trying to keep to our budget & finish installation that afternoon, I volunteered to do quick run to near by Hardware Store to purchase plexi glass; Dan our Technician was very cooperative, quickly measured the needed piece so that I could get it cut to size while he was working. Everything worked out very well in the end, incl. electric AC cord secured to wall with U-clips. We chose to do touch-up painting ourselves to save money. MR. HANDYMAN is not a thrifty service, but indeed they do very good work, show-up on time and have a professional approach. I would advise to be VERY CLEAR with your needs and expectations when setting up job with Scheduler; this will save time and help you stay on budget.

They were punctual and professional throughout. It went very smooth and there was a sense that they were there to help in any way they could. I had to give very little direction and didn't need to supply any tools. Great experience!

I purchased a deal from Angie's List for 4 hours of work, not knowing how much time the particular job would take. When I arranged the job with the Mr. Handyman representative, she quoted a standard rate that was actually better than the deal. That was strange, but just means that the company and Angie's List need to coordinate a bit better. Scheduling the job was easy. The Handyman showed up on the job day on time and ready to go. He talked me through the job and told me how many hours it would take, including running out to buy materials (which I could have done to save billable time). We discussed that he should paint the wood with primer but that he probably couldn't put the color coat on, especially since I didn't have any leftover house paint. He got the job done on time and within the estimate (8 hours plus materials). On top of that, he was able to match the paint of the rest of the house and put on the final coat. He wasn't totally sure that the match was good (I think it's fine), and since we hadn't discussed it ahead of time, he provided that paint and labor at not cost. Needless to say, I'm happy that the job is totally done, and looks like it was done with high quality and workmanship. As others note, their rate is not cheap, but I do think you get what you pay for.

I put in a call to Mr Handyman, who I had used for the past 7 years, to install new baseboards in 2 closets. Marie, the scheduler, set up an appointment for me that worked perfectly, given a strict timeline within which I was working. She listened carefully to concerns I had with a previous experience with the last service I had under prior ownership, and she assured me that I would have no such experience this time. She was right. Derek arrived exactly on time. Once he set up his equipment, he worked efficiently, taking care to clean up as he went along. The baseboards look amazing! Derek was professional, yet friendly. He also looked at a future project, advising me on what materials I'll need to purchase. I was truly pleased with the service I was provided, from my initial contact with Marie to the finished product produced by Derek. I look forward to my next project with Derek.

It was fabulous. The timing was perfect, everything was great. He kept it right on budget. He had all the parts and everything. I will have him back in just a little bit.

They did good quality work, arrived on time, used the time well, and crafted a good solution to cabinetry which did not fit new appliances. My only comment is that I did this with a coupon from Angie's list, and that without it the pricing would have been higher. The quality is there if you don't mind paying for it or doing the work with a good coupon.

Robin is always very professional. He is always on time and comes prepared and very conscious to get the work done in a timely manner.

Professional, timely and the quality was excellent. This was literally a last minute job where I needed drywall installed the day prior to tile work going into the kitchen. I could find no one else to do the work in the time frame required. These guys came through. And the result was a night and day experience. Would definitely recommend them / use them for future work - especially on short notice.

Ideal, a very good hard working man. He knew exactly to perform the job, had better ideas on how to do the job than I did. He took measurements of the gutters and drove down to Home Depot and bought the right amount of screens, he previously suggested not to spend extra money and install screens that were not needed. He gave me an estimate before he started the job and charged me fairly because it took longer to get the job done.

The workman was very professional and friendly. He immediately tackled the job of repairing a sliding mirrored, floor to ceiling door. He completed the job in a very short period of time. I would definitely use him again.

The customer service at Mr. Handyman is excellent. There scheduling/Office Personnel is great. They handled everything for me. Their prices are very reasonable too!

It went really well he was on time and very courteous

It didn't go well. In fact, we have to call them because they charged us when we purchased it and when the guy came to fix it, we paid him again so we paid him over $700 and we haven't been able to get anything back and it has been two months.

we made an appointment for Fiday 05-15-15 10:00am-12:00pm. they called today if the can come sooner, i said yes. He come and did a very good job cleaning the roof and the gutters. also, he cleaned all the debree on the cement around the house.

OMG! The BEST service ever, no exaggeration. We were in an emergency situation, within an hour of their closing on a Friday afternoon. Marie, thie dispatcher couldn't have been any nicer or more responsible to us, making sure we were taken care of before the weekend. She found us an employee who was willing to work late and within a few hours our door was as good as new, and in fact, better because Dan suggested a few ways to make our door even more secure than before. Marie offered us a discount and was so so nice. Dan was at our home in no time and was very professional, very knowledgeable and very competent. I did go to get the supplies myself to save time since he was working late. I really appreciate it when I find a company that is personable, very responsible, and of course, excellent at what they do. I will definitely use them again when I need work done. It was an absolute pleasure in a very uncomfortable situation (after having our home broken into). Thank you Marie and Dan for taking such good care of us! Alyse & Dan

Punctual, professional and courteous. The only problem was that after the first fix the problem resurfaced in the next couple of months. I called the provider, they came out and fixed the issue permanently under warranty at no cost to me. Thanks!

They guy was very good. He showed me what to use where the hose had worm out. He was very conscientious and I thought he was very nice.

James did an amazing job. He was prompt, did an exceptional job, and all within budget. I would use them again.

This provider was very professional and competent working with great skill however I did not feel like he was very honest with the billing. They did good job completing the project.

The job went extremely well. A couple of things popped-up that were not on the estimate, so James added them and never complained but went out of his way to take care of the problem. James and Mr. Handyman I thank you!

He was on-time, professional and informative. This is not the first time we've used Mr. handyman and quite frankly, they are excellent every time. My wife generally hates having work done in the house, but Mr. Handyman is as unobtrusive as can be and cleans up anything that is required. I highly recommend - thank you!
