Owning a house built in 1930 means lots of repairs and upkeep, so over the past 30 years I've hired plenty of repair folks and handymen to solve my various household repairs. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you, with genuine pleasure, that Gil Bussanich and Eddy Rios from Mr. Handyman, are hands down the most skilled, punctual, helpful, experienced, honest, expert, reasonably priced and efficient repair guys I've ever dealt with -- period. I interviewed or called or checked out nearly a dozen companies or individuals to address my repair issue and few of them struck me as being very experienced in dealing with my particular repair need. Few sounded interested in dealing with locating a new a/c-heating unit which would fit into the existing wall sleeve -- but the instant I spoke with Jeffrey at Mr. Handyman I had hope I'd finally found the right company. Jeffrey couldn't wait to send me his top guys to solve my problem. From beginning to end this company does their job in a way that exceeds my high expectations. Gil insisted on personally eyeballing the 27-year-old unit to be replaced and took great pains to take every single measurement imaginable to make absolutely sure that the replacement unit would fit perfectly into the sleeve, thus sparing me the big expense of having to tear out the sleeve and install a new one. Gil, a low-key, folksy perfectionist, took the time necessary to search for a unit with the right BTUs, the required features, and the right price. And when the job was nearly complete Gil realized I'd probably have to call my city's Public Works department and pay to have them haul away the bulky old a/c unit. But then he remembered that there's a place out near where he lives where large discarded stuff can be dropped off and taken to the dump -- he told me not to worry, he'd take care of it for me. That Gil is the kind of man to make that kindly offer is certainly one reason to call Mr. Handyman the next time you have a household repair to take care of. But it's only one of many reasons to let Gil and Eddy and their Mr. Handyman company fix what needs fixing in your home.

Jason came on time and he was very professional and courteous. He fixed all the gates and the fence and evaluated the windows and tried so hard to find a part to fix it later. I will definitely hire him every time there is a repair to do at home and already recommended him to all my friends.

Cannot believe these guys have an A rating. Worst handyman experience we've ever had. Our experience was so uniformly, and laughably bad that I'm completely shocked other people had such good experiences with them. They tried to sell their above market rates by saying that all the handymen are very experienced and they 'guarantee' the work. Guy did all the minor work okay (though he did have to come back to fix the drain b/c it wasn't done correctly). But on the window he tore it out and said we had a leak. Then proposed a minor repair that he later claimed was only 'temporary'. When it didn't work he then proposed a tar patch job that he said would fix the problem. It didn't. Came back again to do work and it still is not fixed to this day. Got on the phone with this clown in the office Brendan who said he'd talk to the owners and get us a discount. They offered to knock off the site visit fee ($35). I said that wasn't enough. Brendan said he'd call me back after he talked to the owners. No call back for a week. Then a vmail asking me to call him back and when I did, he said he didn't have an answer yet. My wife called again because it looks water damaged again already. When I asked them if they were going to finally fix it, they said they'd discount me the work going forward. Tech said he'd talk to owners again and I should expect a call from owners. Instead, just a call from that clown Brendan again. Now have run a bill close to $3k with these guys and still don't have a fixed window. Unbelievably terrible, overpriced service.

Eloy the handyman was very thorough and accurate with his estimate and scope of work. They are a little pricey, but you do get what you pay for.

The work was not completed with the first visit and it required an additional visit to complete. Their office was supposed to apply a -15% discount to invoice which they did not do. So I had to contact them three times via emails and phone calls to have it corrected.

The Handyman that came out took care of each task to my satisfaction and in a professional manner.

John arrived at my house 15 minutes earlier than scheduled (a good thing!) and proceeded to assess the work that needed to be done. He cut out a small area of the ceiling before committing to the job just to make sure the area we had chosen had no obstructions. Once it was determined that we were good to go, he explained how long it would take to do the job and got to work immediately. He got the job done faster than estimated and it was exactly what I needed. Great job!

Based on reviews on Angie's List and after talking to them over the phone, I agreed to pay $80 for estimate. Derek, the technician who came to make estimate, was find. They did not deliver the estimate within the time so I called and emailed for reminder. After receiving the estimate which was very expensive, there were some changes in scope of work which I communicated. I communicated the changes via emails. I keep sending them reminder to reply but they have ignored my emails as if they do not want to do my projects. They are terrible at responsiveness in communication. Since I did not receive final estimate and ran out of time, I had to find other handyman. I paid $80 for no reason.

He was fine. I found out after the fact he was colorblind. His handy work was good but it was just the painting thing because of the colorblindness. He came in second lowest but I felt more comfortable with him than the other guy. His stucco work was very good. His carpentry work was okay. His work for dealing what he had to was good. He was very professional. He did it very clearly. He let me know exactly what he was purchasing. He itemized out what the purchases were and where everything went. I was very happy with that. He was very organized.

Steve was awesome. Showed up promptly at the beginning of the 2 hour service window and performed the task quickly and efficiently (replacing calk in shower and tub). Also gave advice on how to handle a few other projects asked him about.

Steve was very skilled, diligent, professional, creative, and friendly. Mr. Handyman had good communication and an easy scheduling process. Overall well run operation and very high level of service. Would definitely use them again, and ask for Steve.

These guys are very professional, on time and clean (which is very important). Right away I knew I was going to have a great experience from my conversation with the office. They listened to what I had to say, made me feel comfortable and sure enough, the tech showed up and made me feel at ease. He was able to fix my electrical issue, plumbing issue and even helped me with some creaky cabinets that were driving me crazy. Will be using this company as my go to team.

Well, the handyman that came by was good but the problems I wanted him to fix were either too big, or I didn't have the right parts and he couldn't do it. For my two-hour service deal, he ended up diagnosing a problem with a leak in our roof (which I probably could have gotten a free estimate for from a roofer), and he rehung three doors. So, in the end, it guess it wasn't that great of a deal. Also, I looked at the regular price on the invoice and going through Angie's List saved me $10. Not a huge deal, but my doors work and that's good. If I use them again, I'll just have to be better prepared so I get the most out of my time.

I requested bead board to be removed and the walls repaired/ textured, so the walls could be painted (I would do the painting). The guy arrived, removed the bead board and put on a coat of something. The guy said he couldn't do any more because the coating had to dry. I made it clear I wanted him to come back to finish the job. A couple of days later someone from Mr Handyman called to see how things went. I told him the job still needed to be finished. I was then told he would find out what happened and call me back. I never received a call. After waiting a couple of weeks, I contacted another home project company and within 20 minutes of filling out my request, I had an appointment for Saturday. This guy started work the day he arrived and finished the job the following day. And he did a beautiful job too. I don't know why I never received a call back from Mr Handyman; it would have been nice to know they didn't want to finish the job, so I could have started looking for a replacement sooner.

Dan arrived on time and ready to go. He reviewed everything that needed to be done, before he began the work, which I thought was refreshing. Once he began the work he explained what he was going to do and everything looks amazing. I was very impressed with his knowledge and know how. I have setup another appointment for him to help with some other things that need to be done. Thank goodness for Mr Handyman. I think they should change their name to Mr Professional. :)

It went fine. The gentlemen that performed the service was great, but the service overall was too expensive. Over $100 / hour for handy man services is steep.

They're terrific. Worth every penny.

Other than their price which thought was expensive for hanging two bath vanities a total of about 15-30 min work they were very, very good. The fellow arrived as specified, was clean and tidy, and did the work well. I'd recommend these folks but will warn they're not inexpensive.
