Description of Work: I called to get an estimate and I was told that they didn't give estimates. A short time later,they called back and said they could give an estimate for $80 which could be applied to any work done. I agreed and James came out and I received an estimate via email. I called a few days later to arrange a time for the work to begin and was given a date for 2 weeks later. Just before work was supposed to commence,I received a call that James wasn't available, so they would send someone else. I said that I was comfortable with James and we made a new date,10 days hence. James came on time and did the work. He repaired some water damage on the wood siding at the rear of my garage, put on a new door frame and replaced a low gate with a 6 foot high chain link fence gate. James did a very good job. I complained about the flimsy made gate but he said that it was all that was available. We also asked for privacy strips to be put on the gate and James said he forgot to get them, but he would return to put them on.After waiting 6 weeks,I went to Home Depot bought the strips and put them on myself.

Description of Work: They replaced one door and repaired two others, and repaired cracks in my stucco. Their prices are a little high, but they are reliable and do good work.

Description of Work: We hired handyman to fix stairs and back. He repaired the steps and throughout the old lumber without telling us into the garbage and we think he should've took the old wood with him. We asked him to fix rotted part of Hand rail. He said he did not have a saw to cut through it with him . Expensive for just an average job .

Description of Work: I had a wall air conditioner replaced by Mr. Handyman. The first attempt of installation was not entirely successful, but Paul and Louis were very professional and friendly over the phone, and sent Eddy to the rescue. He was great and got everything done right. When you're renovating/fixing anything, there's always a chance that something will go wrong. In these times, the ability to turn it around, and a good customer service is what really matters. Mr. Handyman proved they can make it right. You definitely want to work with this kind of company.

Description of Work: Had a few jobs to be done and the handyman knew how to do them as well as what he was not qualified to do. Work included replacing trim around the front door, resetting the sliding screen in back (and showing me what he was doing to adjust the fit), and suggesting getting an electrician to replace the light sensor in front. I was happy with the job.

Description of Work: Replaced rotten wood under bedroom window. Beveled the wood to ensure water runoff. Very well done. Technician offered to paint the strip but we did not have paint on hand. He cautioned me to make sure to paint for added protection and I did it a few days later. Had some problems making contact via email due to Mr. Handyman's computer problems. Eventually, made appointment by phone. Cost was hourly with minimum 2 hour charge plus materials.

Description of Work: While this provider advertises as handyman services the actual services provided are very limited and seem primarily to be electric. Initially they did not get back to me within a few days (as promised) so I chased them down by calling them. The phone receptionist was very helpful but advised of their limited services. |Now I have to chase getting a refund back from Angie's List. Not a good experience - moreover a waste of time and effort. | |Overall a bad experience.
