The woman who answers the phone when we call the company is great. Frank was the guy who came out to do the work and he was fantastic. He made time and finished the job that was left unfinished by another company because I fired them. It felt so good to get everything done. It sounds expensive, but they can get through a lot of stuff in that time. He charged me on an hourly basis, but it was a good value. We pay $90.00 an hour, but the guy does 3 or 4 things in that hour. He did it just as I wanted. He was very well-dressed and spoke English beautifully. It was wonderful. I understood everything. I am going to hire them back. They are bonded and licensed. They gave me a 15 percent discount coupon because I left a report for them.

Once again... an outstanding job by Mr. Handyman. Paul came out... fixed our door and did another stellar job. He's very professional, and very skilled. It's really great having a handyman company we can trust to do QUALITY work. So glad we found Mr. Handyman. They've been great on both small projects and large.

The original jobs included fixing a leak in the bathroom sink and replacing the front door saddle (repairman called it "sill.") The estimate was for five hours at and estimated rate of $600. I thought this was pricey but had used Mr. Handyman before, a man named Chad, and had a great experience. Unfortunately for me, Chad had left the state and I was sent a handyman who is new to the company I was told later. He started in the bathroom by removing the fixtures. He gave me the part that needed replacing and told me to go purchase it stating it would be much less expensive as that time would otherwise be added to my bill. I was willing so I went to the place he told me to go. The place sells only to licensed contractors. They told me that they didn't have the part anyway as it didn't comply with the new lead laws in California that took effect on the 1st of January. They kindly sent me to another place. That place didn't have it either. They told me the new lead compliant piece wouldn't be available for several months but called around just incase. I ended up buying brand new fixtures then returned home. The handyman added 45 minutes to the estimate. He also told me he could remove some old tile from the front entryway and add weather stripping if he added another 45 minutes. As I planned to do this eventually I agreed. Now my estimate had gone to 6 1/2 hours at $773. I will say that he did a nice job on the front door. My only complaint there is that he put in an oak threshold which looks nice but requires varnish which takes 24 hours to cure completely during which the door must be kept open as the door sweep rests on the oak piece. As it is my front door and it is winter I have yet to do this and the piece is not sealed. A warning would have been nice. All things considered, this is not a big deal. The bathroom sink fixtures are a different story. In retrospect I should have hired a plumber. But Mr. Handyman assured me that their guy could handle this. To make a long story short the job took him 9 1/2 hours. He gave me an hour free as he went so far over his estimate. My total cost was $981.13. He had great difficulty with the fixtures as evidenced by the amount of cursing, albeit not loudly, and the grooves around the base of the fixtures where he evidently used a tool to help tighten it. Yes, I inspected the fixtures before hand and the grooves were not there. Mr. Handyman always follows up with a phone call to see how the process went. I told the woman who called that I was not happy with the work done. I also told her that I would live with the outcome as I just wanted it to be done. I told her for the price I was charged though that I shouldn't have had to "live with" anything. It should have been done perfectly and it should have been done in the estimated time. I would have understood an hour but three hours over? She told me the worker was new to the company and they were still assessing his skills. She also told me she would have a superior contact me even though I had told her it wasn't necessary. No one ever did call.

Paul was on time for our appointment. He had gave me an estimate of $520 to remove the patio cover. Disposal of the debris would require and additional charge. He explained to me his labor rate at $110/hr and the rate of his helper at $40/hr with minimum of $120. The work was completed in a thoroughly professional manner. He recommended, 1-800-got junk for the removal of the debris as he thought their cost would be less than his. I contracted for 1-800-got junk to remove the debris.

Craig, our handyman was there early. He was smart, clean (he wore booties) and knew what he was doing. We called him to fix our window which he did almost immediately with a slight adjustment to a pin and then didn't want to charge us for the minimum. But we found other stuff for him to do including fixing burned out lights inside and out, fixing speakers covers, and regrouting our shower which had been needing that attention for a while. Craig was terrific and Mr. Handyman made a follow up call to make sure we were satisfied. It was a very professional and well run service.

He quoted me $278 for the first 2 hours, and $55 for every 30 minutes thereafter. I could not believe how high his prices were, and found someone who only charged me $60.

The experience was very good. He was very efficient and knew his job. He solved the problem. He did what needed to be done. It took about two days for the work. His price was very good.

He was fantastic and he was a Johnny on the Spot. The lady on the phone was wonderful. They would get straight A's.

I particularly liked the gentleman they sent out. His name was Phil. If I have any other handy work I will be calling this company back and requesting him. They are very professional, they are very conscious of keeping the door closed to keep my cats indoors, they took that into consideration. They cleaned up after themselves. They were here on time and completed the job in the time they said it would take.

As always, they were fabulous. I love them, they're just wonderful!

As I didn't supervise the job, I was concerned that some of what I had discussed with the supervisor Donna Marie) didn't appear of to have bben completed. She was polite, and assured me that we didn't need to pay for the additional repairs, so that was a huge plus.

Frank the handyman arrived on time and gave me a reasonable estimate. We went shopping for materials, then found we needed extra muscle power to do the job right. His helper Claude arrived quickly and the two of them did an excellent, professional job expediently. I am so pleased with the look of my "new" porch roof and pillars. They finished the woodwork professionally and cleaned up afterwards. Both men were pleasant to work with and gave great advice about other jobs I have on my list of things to do. I am very happy with their work and will hire them again for my next project.

They worked with the cabinets that were already there. The cabinets were attached to the ceiling and not to the wall. The guy from Mr Handyman put something underneath the cabinets to push them to where they should have been. That improved the connection with the ceiling. I am really happy to have got the work done, as I was worried.

Chad replaced and repaired items that had been poorly managed by another repair person.

I was initially a little disappointed because the handyman was supposed to arrive between 1-3 p.m. and I was supposed to get a call when he was on his way. After scheduling my day with this time frame in mind, I received a call at 2:30 telling me he would arrive around 3:30. When I questioned this, the scheduling lady asked if I wanted to reschedule for another day. We went ahead and had him come that day. The handyman that came out was very professional and did a great job. It was definitely pricey though.

The handyman (Chad) arrived at the time given, was quick, efficient, knowledgable and helped me in deciding the best way to hang this tapestry which was huge. He was clean and covered all surfaces to keep from getting them dirty.

He is efficient and fast. He was actually trouble shooting a light fixture then I thought it just needed a bulb but some how I think he took quite a bit of time to figure out the problem that he thought was a big problem. Then I called the electrician from Angie?s list which I should have done in the first place and he found out everything. However Mr. Handyman did the other job, he put in the towel bar and repaired a hole that had been made there. I think he did a super job and I have been happy with him. I think quality of his work is good and I do believe that they try hard to do a good job when they do it.

Excellent experience. Always on time, even came on a Saturday (they normally don't work weekends) when they weren't able to accommodate my last-minute request on a weekday.

He was courteous, very prompt, and his estimates were above what it actually cost, so I believe he was very fair on his prices and accessing his cost. I plan to use him in the future.

I thank heavens I found this company. I manage two rentals from across the country and can call them any day with any task and know it will be handled quickly and done correctly the first time.

Went very well--I'd use this company again. I have an older home with original french windows that have taken a beating from the elements and termites. I had already replaced another windowsill using a (non Angie's List) recommended handyman with not the best results (does not quite match the rest of the window). I decided to try Mr. Handyman after reading reviews on The List and because I'd like to find a person or company that can be relied upon to do all kinds of work on my home as needed... I was very pleased with the service from this company--beginning with the phone estimate and confirmation call by Debbie and continuing with the punctuality, professionalism and excellent work done by Chad. I probably could have found somebody to do this job for less money, but having gone down that road before and being disappointed, I am fine with spending the above amount for quality work. Also, having limited days off, it means a lot to me when someone shows up and gets the job done right and on time. My new windowsill looks nice and is true to the original design. The job took just about 2 hours.

Great articulate guy, professional, everything great except my belief that $300+ for two hours was a touch high.

Gave Chad, the technician, the list of items. He checked each area and clarified my expectations with me. He, then, left for a few minutes to purchase materials. Upon his return, he worked quickly and efficiently. He is multi-talented and careful to produce quality work. Chad cleaned up the work when finished, leaving the areas in great condition.

Frank completed the work efficiently and with great results. We would use Frank anytime and recommend him without hesitation. Both he and the company were first rate.

Things went just fine. Manfred helped put some electrical tape around our dryer and then he ran the garbage disposal, did some diagnostic on it and got it running pretty smoothly. They were clear on what they were going to do, they gave me some options and they were thorough. He was super efficient. He was on fire. I think they're just a little pricey. I think he even said their costs were a little bit higher, but they're clear with what they do and they charge an hourly rate, so you kind of have to have it worth your while. I think I would use them in the future.
