Mr. Handyman Serving Beverly Hills & Hollywood

On a rare rainy day in Los Angeles I received a call from my son saying water was flowing into the house from a window. After a search on Angie's List I called Mr. Handyman and spoke to Marc. He was very helpful, explained the service options that were available, and suggested which one might be best suited for my problem. Within a couple of hours Dan had diagnosed and repaired the problem, a clogged rain gutter and a bent flashing which was causing the rain runoff to directly pour onto the exterior of the window. There was no up selling or additional costs. Dan was very professional and polite when he called me at work after he completed work and took his time to answer all of my questions. I would definitely use Mr. Handyman again.

COSTUMER SERVICE WAS VERY POLITE WHEN THEY EXPLAINED TO ME THAT THE $50 I PAID FOR THE GUTTER CLEANING SERVICE WAS A DISCOUNT FROM A $100 SERVICE BUT AT THE END I WILL OWE THEM AN ADDITIONAL $ 194... THAT IS NOT WHAT I SIGNED FOR - TO ME IT SEEMED LIKE MISLEADING ADVERTISING. I WOULD LIKE TO GET MY MONEY BACK. THANK YOU!

Kitchen drain being cleared and calked garage was done fine. The shower handle had two problems the handle would stick to turn on the water and the handle would come off turning water from hot to cold and back. First visit the tech said the handle was fixed turning from hot to cold and if I would turn the water on & off over a few days it would not stick anymore. After about three days the problem was back. Second visit was the same result. Third visit I asked for a new tech which Mr Handyman send a new tech. The handle was fixed regarding turning water from hot to cold. However, The handle is starting stick again. Honestly I see no reason to back to Mr Handyman, if I want this fixed I need to get someone else. What is sad is when I first started using Mr Handyman they were fantastic but as time goes on they dont seemed to have well trained people to handle problems Update to previous review. Despite 5 visits and three techs I do have to commend Mr Handyman, they did reach out to me and they did return a couple extra times at no extra cost cost to me. They did finally fix the problem. Mr Handyman did stand behind the warranty. Also the part Mr Handyman said was not available was replaced which was the main problem.

I needed lights repaired in my garage. There was a pre-existing track lighting system that was partially disassembled when I had a new garage door installed by a different company. The assessment by the handyman was not well thought through and seemed to be a work-around level of quality for what it was going to cost me. To further prove that this handyman didn't know what he was doing, when I got a second opinion I was shown that my pre-existing track lighting wasn't broken at all. In fact, half of it still worked fine and the bulbs must've blown when the garage door guy turned the electricity back on. This is like a car repair guy telling you that you need a new engine when only the battery died in your car. A professional should know the difference. I paid Mr. Handyman $80 for a poor assessment and bad advice. On the positive side, the handyman was right on time, clean and polite. If he had been qualified it would have been a great experience.

Gil showed up on time, was extremely personable and performed quality work. We are extremely happy with the work he performed and look forward to working with him again. Also, A+ for his consideration - he cleaned up after himself and made an extra effort to ensure the sawing/sanding didn't leave a mess in our house.

Gil showed up promptly. He is super competent, knowledgeable, careful, considerate and really really nice. He explained the Mr. Handyman rate stuff up front and the whole experience couldn't have been better. We are already lining up our next appointment for him to come back and do some more work. Note: The service was originally scheduled for yesterday, but Louis the dispatcher called to say their guy became ill on a job and had to cancel our appointment. They got Gil to come today at 8am and gave us a $25.00 discount for our trouble. We will use Gil and Mr. Handyman a lot......they are AWESOME.

Gil was a perfectionist. Each a/c unit fits perfectly and looks very nice. Two units were fitted into windows and one was Fitted into a hole in the house. Itself. The stand that had to be replaced was very old and rotten. Gil's replacement was so much neater And safe. I was very impressed by his work and look forward to having him work for me again.

The Handyman came to my house earlier than expected, which is great. And he did an amazing job with time to spare.

Raccoons built home under my deck through opening and created a flea issue. Mr. Niemetscheck arrived on time. He covered three openings around my deck with wood board and also went under the deck to ensure the animals are out there. He also found a pipe under the deck is broken and fixed it. He took a few photos under the deck to show me the work. He finished the task within two hours. The quality of his work is excellent and he answered all my questions clearly. It was a great experience to work with him.

I called for a quote for installation of a dishwasher and over-the-range microwave. I gave all my information and was told that someone would call me back in 24 to 48 hours. I was also given what the hourly rate would be, to which I agreed. I never got a call back. I feel that my "job" may have been too small for them to do.

When I purchased my condo one of the hinges on my second floor bedroom casement window was damaged. The first technician, Don Fischer, showed up on time, diagnosed the problem, and ordered the correct part. The second technician, James Gottleber, showed up on time, replaced the damaged hinge, and offered to replace the hinge on the other window as left and right hinges had been ordered as a pair. My entire experience with Mr. Handyman, was quick, easy, and efficient. I would highly recommend Mr .Handyman and use them again.

I used Mr Handyman once before the screen door debacle. Frank the Handyman was great! He hung my garage to patio door a few weeks prior. He ran into a lot of problems, mainly he had to move the wall and door jamb 3" to its original place. The previous owner must have hit the garage wall and moved it out 3", and to fix that they just put a band-aid on it, instead of doing it right. Anyway...the job took 5 hours, including a stucco patch, and cost about 500.00, plus a hundred for the door and jamb. I asked for Frank to hang the screen door, and was promised Frank for the job, but they sent someone else. So hiring this company is a crap shoot, and I can't afford to watch someone hang and re-hang, drill and re-drill, and hang again, and again. Read the instructions over and over and over. Way to pricy to pay for on the job learning.

Excellent! The guy was very nice. Fee was not unreasonable and I had him do more stuff. Very nice man.

He dealt with my tenant with no issues. He came back a second time with no complaints. Will definitely use again.

The technician came promptly on-time and proceeded to work on the chandelier. He had to replace the canister that the chandelier was hanging from as it had rusted out. He efficiently worked on securing the chandelier and cleaned up after himself. Don was very courteous, professional and pleasant!

All is good. I have more work for Daniel next week

The service person was punctual, friendly and very professional. it took two visits to complete the work. Both times he was neat and explained what the process entailed to repair my front door. It looks great now and I am very pleased. Visitors have commented on the improvement.
