I have used Mike repeatedly through the years. He's always incredibly fast, reliable, and friendly. His work is excellent. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Mike has always been our plumber and is now our daughter's plumber as well. Mike is fast and conscientious.

I've tried other plumbers before, but Mike has been the most professional and efficient of them all. Prices are very fair. He always knows where to find the problem. Had the plumbing in our house start backing up in all the bathrooms. He came quickly and on time, as usual. By the time he was done everything was working better than it has in 20 years. It is always a breeze with Mike. He almost always shows up within an hour, brings his guys in as he needs to and then is gone in a flash. Plants and shrubs removed for the installation of the valve were returned exactly where they were. Other required cleanup more than adequate. He is my go-to guy. Clearly I'm not alone in this thinking: he's got great ratings on Angie's List.

It always goes smoothly. We've been using him for years. Unfortunately sometimes the emergencies are weekends or evenings or during guest visits but we can always count on Mike.

It went splendid. Mike Avii was at my house within an hour ( he had estimated 90 mins, but he must have made extra effort to help me out)..I have been using Mike for a variety of plumbing jobs for at least 5 years. He has always been quick to respond, professional and solved the problem. The best indication of pride and ethics in his work, is that the heavy equipment he brings is always clean, and in good working order..Prior to Mike I had used some of the Name brand plumbing companies and some individuals. Their "rooters" and snakes , frankly were in disrepair. Mike is an experienced professional that understands the intricacies of plumbing a/la the plumbers on Mike Holmes T.V. show.

Mike is a total crook. I've tried him twice and never again. He came to my house a little while back because I had a knocking sound in my house when running the faucet and washing machine. He came promptly after we called on a saturday, which was great. He looked around for a few minutes and said that the water heater is causing the problem. It needs a new pipe. Without saying anything more, he went to his truck, got a part and 2 minutes later placed a new pipe. He said that should fix it and that will be $150. I was a little shocked by the price, especially since it took him a total of 7 minutes. Also, he never quoted me anything before replacing the pipe. So I couldn't really ask him to remove what he did so I could get a second opinion. Some time goes by and the knocking sound is still there, and now the water heater is leaking. So I called him back for a follow up to check what he did. He comes by to look around and now says that the water regulator needs to be replaced to help the water heater and the knocking is from a broken valve in the kitchen sink. I was a little confounded because the original complaint remained and now he was saying it was something else. He gave me costs to fix the 2 "problems." I thanked him for his time and wanted a second opinion. He said that the service call would be $65 for the 5 minutes he was there if I wasn't going to have him work on anything. He never mentioned anything about service calls when I called him the second time. When I told him that was ridiculous since I wanted him to check the same problem as last time, he started to get very upset and yelled at me for wasting his time. My second opinion came in and put in a release valve that has subsequently fixed the problem. The water heater is not leaking, the knocking noise is gone and we didn't need to replace any valve under the kitchen sink I will never use Mike from M&M again.

We had used Mike before and knew he was very prompt. We called him and he arrived and fixed our problem in less than an hour.

He came out right away as it was an emergency situation. He was extremely professional and did a quick job as I had house guests at the time. I have had no problems and I would use him again. I would highly recommend him.

Great. Mike is diligent and does comprehensive work. This was the 3rd time I've used Mike and he's my go-to guy. Come to think of it, I found him on Angies List?!

It was after 7 pm when we discovered our sewer line was clogged. We had read elsewhere that Mike's hours were 8-11, so we gave him a call. He was in the area and came in 20 minutes! I thought the price was a tad high but we have never had such a fast response. After he was done, Mike explained why the advice from another plumber of putting rock salt through the line was wrong.

I have had wonderful experiences with him. He is very reasonable and a nice guy. He works on my house and apartments.

This turned out to be a very challenging installation and Mike, being the total pro that he is, did an awesome job. What made it challenging was that there is about 4 feet of cabinets between the sink and the dishwasher and the connecting hoses had to extended and strung through a small space between the floor and the bottom shelf of the cabinets. Also, the air gap had never been used with the old dishwasher and it was in a difficult location for connection between the dishwasher and the sink, but Mike figured out how to do it. I never knew this until Mike explained it to me, but not using the air gap was the reason that soiled water running through the garbage disposal would sometimes back-flow into the dishwasher. This problem is now solved. Mike originally quoted me $125 for what he thought would be an hour of work for a simple dishwasher installation (a very reasonable price) and then only charged me $280 for a job that wound up taking 3 hours. Major kudos to Mike! I will definitely hire him again and I highly recommend him.

Mike is the best! I have used countless plumbers, and none of them compare with M&M.

Mike arrived 5 minutes before the appointed time and finished the job in 15 minutes. He's the best.

They were nice and honest. He was very prompt and very professional. He did a good job overall. I would recommend him to others, and I would work with him again in the future.

As a new subscriber to Angie's List, I was very impressed. Other members highly recommended Mike Avi, and they were right. I called around 9am on New Year's Eve day, and Mike said he would arrive around noon. He actually was there by 11am and completed all the work in about 40 minutes. I thought the price was very reasonable. Roto Rooter had recently charged me $180 just to snake the bathtub drain. Mike also advised me on a couple of other plumbing changes I want to make in the future, and advised never to use commercial drain cleaning fluids, but to use bleach monthly as a preventive instead. Much cheaper and better for the pipes. Good tip.

It was great! He came within an hour. He was nice and smart and fixed the problem right away. He cleaned after himself and he gave me advice about a few other plumbing issues I had.

Our dishwasher's overflow valve spilled water all over our kitchen counter and floor the day we were to have a party. We called Mike who came over in about an hour (as promised.) He was very nice and professional (clean and neat) and had the whole thing fixed in about 30 minutes. He even let our 3-year-old son use his toy tools to "help" him. He even gave us tips to avoid this in the future (aside from the obvious "don't leave food on the plates.") Very sweet and knowledgeable man. We will definitely use him again and again.

We had never called this plumbing service before, but they treated us like valued clients and came to our house on a Saturday within 1 1/2 hours.

Water was flooded in the shower and Mike opened the drain.

Excellent. After the Thanksgiving holiday, I called a few plumbers and Mike Avi was the only one who called back -- he called back quickly and said he would be over within 2 hours. Mike showed up, fixed the drain and fixed the toilet, no problem. I was particularly impressed with his straightforward honesty and advice -- i.e. don't use products like Drano, in which the acidity can destroy metal piping. I made a comment that my toilet was rather old. While many -- if not most -- plumbers look for opportunities to up charge, Mike said keep it, it's fine. He said many homeowners are having problems with those water-savers, in which there is not enough water to push the debris through the pipes, causing the pipes to clog over time. Mike Avi is my new favorite plumber. UPDATE: We continue to use Mike Avi at M&M to solve all of our plumbing problems. Since this review, I have referred my family and friends to him, and he is now their go-to plumber as well. He is always there as quickly as possible, very honest, and very reasonably-priced. Recently, in the early morning hours, I heard running water -- a pipe had burst in the backyard. He arrived promptly, fixed the problem, and explained how to petition the DMV to modify my bill, to factor in the loss water. We recommend him very highly.
