Construction Masters

Construction Masters is owned and operated by Moshe Cohen, a most extraordinary and unique contractor. Mr. Cohen completely remodeled our condominium in five weeks. We intended to sell the unit. Four days after listing the property there were three enthusiastic bids and within a week and a half we were into a thirty day escrow. The remodeling experience was pleasant and easy. The job they did was nothing short of spectacular because Mr. Cohen is so special: 1. He is always on time. 2. He is always professional, courteous, and exceptionally reliable. 3. We recently had numerous projects done by Moshe Cohen and Construction Masters. They came recommended to us by a few friends who had used them for various projects on their homes. We had our master bathroom renovated, electrical work, painting and water damage repaired by them. Both Moshe and all of his crew were professional, polite and their work was great. They were knowledgeable and always explained what they were doing and why. We were very happy with how everything turned out and will definitely use them again for any projects we need. We would also highly recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor.

This was our first major remodel and while it was not fun it was not the torture that seems to be most peoples remodeling experience. I think realistically it was probably as good as it gets. Construction Masters was very accessible and did some things that earned a lot of good will. The extensive electrical work was unplanned and I was grateful they saw in the course of some small electrical work that we really needed the whole house done. I had been worrying about it and this pushed us to get it done. They arranged it quickly and it was done quickly. The subcontractors put holes through wall paper in a bedroom! so for just a few hundred dollars Construction Masters removed paneling and wall paper and painted the walls-very cool, There were a few minor issues with the toilet installation, the bathroom paint and getting the transition between the kitchen and dining room right but Construction Masters were always nice about it. They didn't charge you for every little thing either. There were some minor things that were not done perfectly but overall it looks great. The quality is really A-/B+.

We turned our garage into a guest / pool house. The garage was in really bad shape. We wanted to really make it nice to hold an extra living room set and our workout equipment. We also wanted to have a bathroom so that we and our guests wouldn't need to walk across our hardwood floors through the house to use the bathroom after getting out of the pool. Moshe & Eric met with us several times as well as some of their other guys to discuss options and share ideas. The garage transformation was amazing! They were very good at addressing any questions or concerns that we had through the process and I would definitely work with them again. They made every effort to ensure our happiness. The electrical and plumbing was not done by them simply because we had performed a lot of work in our house prior to this project and really liked the plumber and electrician that we had built a relationship with.

The workers arrived on time and worked diligently until the job was done. They knew we were all sharing 1 bathroom during the remodeling, so they came every day and worked until everything was finished. The workers were supervised, and every thing went as planned. Moshe and Eric took our calls, and answered our questions promptly.

He arrived a little late, about 15 minutes or so. I realize this is probably above average for a contractor. During the entire inspection I felt like he was very rushed. The purpose of the inspection was to use it during negotiation during a home purchase. I explained that we would likely use them if the owner approved the work, but I still felt like he did not want to waste too much time with me. The estimate seemed reasonable, although I feel like it was not fully thought out and as a result is probably lower than what the reality will be. Part of the problem was a water leak on the exterior of the house. Our home inspector had already determined where the water was coming in, but I wanted to see if Construction Masters would come to the same conclusion. Unfortunately, possible as a result of the rushed inspection, he did not. I eventually had to point out the problem, which he agreed was the source of the leak. Overall, I liked Construction Masters, but was a little let down on my first impression. I will give them a second chance.

Overall, working with Eric on an estimate was a great experience and we look forward to working with him in the future.

We had to complete the renovations within a month. Moshe got the permits on time and was very responsive every step of the way. He was present every morning to check on the progress of the work and to address our concerns. He has good suggestions when we encountered a couple of glitches. Moshe also recommended a couple of good suppliers for our fixtures and tiles. Our 70 square foot bathroom was guttered and completely rebuilt at a reasonable cost of $16,000 (excluding fixtures). As the renovations progressed, we discovered that we needed to rewire our entire house and we needed drainage work but the cost for these additional work was not in our initial plan. Moshe was able to arrange for these additional work to be completed on time as well. Moshe gets things done on time and we have recommended him to a friend already.

Overall I am happy with the way the bathroom turned out, just hoping it stands the test of time.

Eric did a great job with all that I asked. I have had some bad experiences with contractors in the past and Construction Masters was great from start to finish. They always kept me up-to-date with regards to the status of the job, got in and out quickly, and were very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them and would use them again without hesitation.

Well, first of all this was not the first time I used Construction Masters and will not be the last.I was very happy with complete remodel they did back in March and I called back to do some extras that I didn't have the money to do before. They gave me a very good deal and excellent service. Eric was here every day to make sure everything ran smoothly, always available for me and very professional. Moshe was on top of everything as well. He met me at the tile store to help me choose the best tile for the bathroom and also gave me his contractor price. I cannot recommend them enough. Those guys are the best. Moshe and Eric, keep up the good work!

Construction Masters was the first estimate I got. Zric, Project Manager, listened to what I wanted to accomplish and then, gave me some suggestions and options. I received 2 other estimates from companies who did not offer any suggestions/options. I decided to go with Construction Masters and although their estimate upon contract signing was a couple thousand dollars higher than the initial estimate, they gave me a 3-4 week completion date. They arrived on time to start demolition and had 2-3 different crews working every day. Each day they cleaned up prior to leaving and all the workers were courteous and very accommodating to me because I stayed in my home during the total project. There was a lot of dust and they did everything possible to minimize any inconvenience to me. I left for work most days and even went out of town but felt comfortable leaving the workers in my home mainly because Zric was there every day. I can not say enough about Zric W. He stayed in contact with me every day and informed me of progress and time frames. He accommodated me to select tile and was available whenever I had a question. His response was always immediate. Whenever I wanted to change something or was undecided, he was patient and understanding. Moshe Cohen periodically checked the progress of the project but I felt so comfortable with Zric that I knew things would be done as requested. I was very undecided about the color for refacing my cabinets and Tony (cabinet person) was absolutely wonderful. He made great suggestions and I decided to go with white because I have blue-pearl granite counter tops. The cabinets look amazing and he did new drawers with self closing and pull out shelves. I did not want a 'regular' door for the powder room and had a sliding sojo door installed that is stunning and I love. The tile people were very understanding because I did not want any grout to show (18x18) and they found a way to lay the tile with a very, very thin line of grout that you can hardly see because it blends in with the color of the tile. I am very pleased with the outcome of the project and they finished a day earlier than anticipated.

Everything went pretty much to plan. He got slate to match the tub and added plumbing, tiled the walls and installed the fixture and shower curtain.

first of all i have to say that i trusted moshe right away . He does not come off as a salesman. It was obvious that he had lots of experience in his field. He sat down with me and gave me choices of work to be done depending upon my budget . He did not try to sell me something that i could non afford. He went above and beyond what i would have expected. He met me at the granite yard and plumbing store to help me choose materials and gave me his contractor's price. He also did extra little things that came up for no extra charge My kitchen and bathroom turned out beautifully and was finished in less time then promised. He showed up at my home every day. His workers cleaned up after themselves every day. I highly recommend Construction Masters and would not even call any other company for future remodeling

This is the second remodeling job Moshe completed for me. I'll use him again in the future.

Well first of all I got 3 diffrent estimates and yes there were substandcial price diffrences, But for some reason I really liked Moshe and what he had to say and offer. He also had great reviws so I decided to go with CONSTRUCTION MASTERS. I own 3 other homes and I have worked with alot of diffrent Contractors over the past 25 years and I Promise I have never worked with someone that Always showed up every day on time, that Always returned a phone call told me EVERY DAY what would be going on each day, his guys are all very Professional clean and neat, Needless to say his plummer and Tile guys are Amazing they are truly the best of the best it really dosent get any better that this I had alot of tile and Plumming work done.. I told Moshe that I wanted my Bathroom to look like a Resort in a 5 star Hotel when he was done today I promise you he exceeded my expectations !!!!!! My Bathroom is good enough to match any of the Best Hotels in the Country and can definetly be in any Magazine for Bath room remodeling. My condo had been rented for 12 years and was in a terrible condition when I called Construction Masters. I was not sure the best way to handle the situation, But Moshe Cohen of Construction Masters guided me in the best way to fix up the place in such a way as to save me as much money as possible. I could not believe what a wonderful job he did for the price, because he used the best materials, such as granite countertops. I had dreaded the process, but Construction Masters made it all so easy for me and I am so glad I trusted them with the job.

My house was built in 1975 and was due for some rework. I obtained multiple quotes for performing remodeling work to update the house. Construction Masters not only had the lowest quote, but Eric Weizman had the best understanding of what I was trying to accomplish. Nothing too fancy, just updating everything so it looks good and can be easily maintained. He really listened to what I was saying, and offered good suggestions on the best ways to do that. He looked at my kitchen cabinets and saw that they were real wood, so suggested sanding them down and re-staining as opposed to replacing them. The original estimate was for the work to be performed in approximately two months. Eric's crew completed the job in less than three weeks. I moved out of the house while they were working, and the fast turn around was very much appreciated! During the work, I met up with Eric at least a few times per week, and would get daily updates on the progress. Every time I stopped by, there were a lot of guys working extremely hard. Everyone on the crew was friendly. As they were working, Eric made a couple of suggestions for additional work that would add value, such as installing the recessed lighting in the living room and office. It made a lot of sense, and I'm glad he suggested it. It was a great addition, and I'm really happy with it. It was just a really smooth experience. I could always get hold of Eric or Moshe Cohen, who's the owner of Construction Masters if I had any questions. I am and will be recommending Construction Masters to my friends if they have any work they need done.

Overall, working with them was great. Eric, the project manager, was responsive and respectful of our time. And since there were a few stages to this, we also had a few different guys coming in and out doing work - they were nice and cleaned up after themselves daily. I would work with them again and also recommend them to others, no question.

The quote from Construction Masters was lower than the others I got. Moshe Cohen understood what I was envisioning and showed me a Caesarstone that turned out to be even better than my original choice. He also made some practical suggestions that ended up saving me hundreds of dollars. When the time came for the work to be done, the crew was on time, was very conscientious, did the work amazingly quickly, and left the house clean. My kitchen looks so good I can't stop looking at it! I would definitely use his services again and I recommend him highly. We are already making plans for future work on my house. I will keep you updated!

The work turned out very nice. I interacted with Moshe Cohen. He was punctual and came to the site every day and made sure the work was going as scheduled. When I had a hard time choosing colors, he was out there with me and made sure that I was happy with the colors that I chose. He was the best price out of the group. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

Not only did they give a very high estimate, but he really tried to pressure me to have the work done. His estimate was twice as the service provider I had decided to go with. When he gave me the estimate, he also tried to sell me other things along with it.

If you want an honest person who will work within your budget and do a wonderful job, look no further then Moshe and Construction Masters. We had all the old built in cabinets and fixtures torn out completely. We replaced all the pluming fixtures and put new tile put in the shower and on the floor. I have to admit the finished product looks much more expensive then what we actually spent because the quality (especially the tile work) looks so good. After talking with a few other contractors I knew this was our guy from my first meeting with Moshe. Even though this was a smaller job for them, I never felt like it was less important for things to get done right and ON TIME! Our bathroom was finished in less then 2 weeks. I couldn't be happier.

PRO - SPEED AND QUALITY OF WORK: Due to a limited amount of time I was going to be in town, I needed the job done quickly and correctly. The job was relatively small. It only took 2-1/2 days to repair the roof replace the dry rot in the shed. They were (1) always on time, (2) did a good job and (3) cleaned up nicely each night. I was quite happy with the results. CON - PRICE: Due to my limited time schedule, I accepted the price without getting multiple bids. I accept that decision and responsibility. From my view, not being a contractor, the job seemed bigger that it turned out to be so the price seemed reasonable. However, in my opinion, after seeing the amount of work actually needed, $4,600 for three men for 2-1/2 days work and a relatively small amount lumber and shingles, seems high. In addition, a few days later I had forgotten to ask about the 10% Angie's list discount. When I asked for a refund, I was told in was already included in the original quote. Who knows? CONCLUSION: Work was timely and very good but, if cost is a concern, I would recommend getting multiple bids.
