Description of Work: The owner was very responsive. He came and provided estimates on a few different ideas we have for adding on to our property. He was very kind, and he even fixed a handle on my cabinet, just to be nice. He seems very caring and honest. We have not gone forward with our project, but I did get a good impression of him as a person represtenting his company.

Description of Work: I'm giving BuilderZZ an A rather than an A+ because some attention to detail was lacking and it was up to me to find any flaws and have them corrected. Problems that had to be corrected: 1) unevenness in the tile - approx. 1/8" off which would have attracted water/soap scum/etc. and places on the floor where the grout appeared to be too low, 2) original paint job was poorly done; 3) due to the original building construction (60's) the walls were uneven and thus there was a gap between the shower tile and wall. It had been filled with putty/grout/plaster (not sure which) by hand but not levelled and thus had to be filled in again and re-painted; 4) the tiling on the floor had a few places were the seams had a gap that was too noticeable; 5) towel bar lopsided by a half inch; 6) one of the mitered corners on the baseboard was not measured accurately and so was about an eighth of an inch longer on the wall and the other board was on a slight slant (to correct this, the gap was filled in with caulking rather than re-measuring the board which I think would have been the correct way but since this is at floor level, I did not pursue it.). One other thing that I did not have changed was the caulking around the toilet; they used white - the toilet is medium gray and the tile on the floor is mostly medium gray. It would have been nice if they had used gray caulking as then it would have blended with the flooring & toilet. Maybe caulking doesn't come it gray? | |I chose BuilderZZ because Guy had estimated a start date of 11/4/14 (less than 2 weeks from the signing on 10/23/14); but I later received an email stating that it would not begin until 12/15/14 - 6 weeks later!. It got delayed another week due to my condo restrictions for water shut-off which BuilderZZ needed in order to do the bathtub demolition. There were other delays too (on both sides) and also two poorly made parts from faulty manufacturing. | |The building inspector and the general manager of my condo association had high praise for the way in which Joe and his crew replaced the bathtub with the shower (hot mop rather than using a shower pan) and also for the plumbing work done. | |In the final analysis, I am quite happy with my new bathroom. Joe does everything to please his customers; if something was not done to my satisfaction, Joe would see that it was done over to my approval. Now that Joe has more control of his work schedule (Guy no longer does the contracts & original scheduling), I think that things might go more smoothly.

+ 1 moreWe hired Builderzz to remodel our bathroom. The bathroom project hasn't finished yet but they have been great so far! They have been prompt and on time, excellent communication, and their attention to detail has been great. Unfortunately for us, we did't hire them to replace an exterior door. A different handyman tried to replace it but wasn't able to complete the project. In fact, it turned into a bigger, more complicated project than originally planned. We called Builderzz and asked if they could help us out. They came in and saved the day by replacing the exterior door in just a few hours! We were extremely grateful to have a working door again and thoroughly pleased with a job done perfectly. They were able to fix the problems the original handyman created and did the job the right way. Our bathroom remodel isn't finished yet but I have confidence that it will turn out perfect. Builderzz saved the day for us and we look forward to working with them again soon.

He not only gave me a great price on the wet bar I wanted built, he did a bunch of other stuff around my house at a really great price. His team works super fast and efficient, they are very polite & professional and clean-up perfectly every day when they are done. The work is absolutely first class, every detail is perfect and there does not seem to be anything they cannot do! Joe has great vision when it comes to design and suggested several nice additions to the plan I had, he really goes the extra mile to make sure his customers are happy. I honestly cannot say enough good things about him and his company, when I need future work there is no one else that I would use. + -1 moreWow, were these guys FANTASTIC! The work done by Joe and Daniel was amazing. Everything they fixed was done perfectly and both were very efficient. Joe's is the project manager, and supervises the work of his staff to ensure quality. You can tell by how Joe goes about doing his work that he really loves his job. Being a contractor runs in Joe's family; his father and grandfather were both contractors, and when Joe was a kid, his dad allowed him a free hand in using his tools and fixing anything that he wanted. This experience really shows in Joe's work. It's rare that you run across someone who is such the consummate professional, and I was very impressed. There is no doubt that I will be using Builderzz, Inc. in the future.
Description of Work: Joe Arielli of Builderzz, Inc., and his journeyman, Daniel, did an amazing job fixing a broken entry-way tile; painted my banisters, repaired the igniting issue on my stove; put a new handle on my refrigerator; fixed my coat rack; caulked two bathtubs, shower and floor outside of shower; pointed out that my air vents needed changing and Joe took care of that for me.

+ 4 moreMy house is absolutely gorgeous. It was a lot of work and difficult to do as I lived there the entire time with both of my cats. Guy and all of his crew were dependable and I could leave them alone and go to work. They had my key, came in after I went to work and were usually gone by the time I came home. My only complaint was that they needed to pay more attention to my furniture and personal items by covering everything up better. The house constantly seemed to have a layer of dust that I kept cleaning. However, at the end of the day, my house is now stunning and gorgeous. We turned a water disaster flood into a new home.
Description of Work: I had water damage in my house and after the walls and ceilings were ripped out, almost the entire condo had to be remodeled. In the garage, half of the ceiling had to be rebuilt. On the main floor, they rebuilt ceilings, walls, closet - removed all of the popcorn ceilings, installed crown molding and repainted all and remodeled the bathroom from head to toe. On the top floor, they remodeled two bathrooms, removed the popcorn ceilings, fixed the walls, painted all rooms, installed crown molding to the master bedroom and installed all new light fixtures. Top floor and stair well also received new carpeting and padding.

His workers were very polite, and they cleaned up at the end of each day so you would never know they were there. Guy made sure that each step of the job was performed timely and beautifully. I had no hesitation to call him again when I decided to have the entire exterior of my home redone, and he is doing a fantastic job again with painting and cement work and everything I need to have the outside of my house look as good as the inside of my house looks now. + 4 moreWe have raised our family and lived in our house for 31 years in Mar Vista, CA. To be honest we hadn't taken the best care of the outside. We were afraid when raising our children to have it tented so the termites feasted on the exterior wood. Luckily there wasn't any subterranean damage, but between these nasty insects and water damage the exterior was a mess. It was doubly disturbing because the house in today's market is worth a large amount of money. The repairs needed to be handled by skilled professionals to keep our house's value so we wanted only certified licensed contractors and we got three bids from only companies recommended by friends. One of my friends is a developer and he endorsed Builderzz and so we requested a bid from them.They turned out to be the low bid, which worried me, because I wanted a good price, but also wanted good work. It took awhile to make up my mind and I even got a fourth bid to make sure. Builderzz was still the lowest bid by a large margin. We decided to hire Builderzz, because we trusted the owner Guy. Another important concern was that in four weeks my wife and I were leaving to spend a month in Europe so the job had to be finished in three weeks to leave a one-week cushion. Two of the companies said it would take at least a month. Guy promised three weeks. Bottom line the job was done on time with great skill and care. Guy was an active manager often visiting the job site 2-3 times per day. The workers were careful craftsmen who were friendly, clean, neat, helpful and they took their time to answer every question my wife and I had. To say we were happy with Builderzz is an understatement. We have heard the horror stories of friends doing remodel work and have experienced the good, bad and ugly ourselves. Builderzz made our project a pleasant experience. Builderzz, since then has done additional work at our house and they have treated small jobs with the same competence and care that they treated the original large job. I have recommended Builderzz to any friends looking to hire a general contractor and I normally don?t, but I have made an exception with Builderzz, because I am very appreciative of their work. We will and have hired them any time we are doing any work on our house and recommend you do the same.

To my wife's satisfaction, the house was always left clean and neat after each day's work and he even brought treats to our little dog. I would highly recommend Guy, his workers and his company.
Description of Work: Kitchen cabinets refinished, added new quartz counter tops and tile back-splash. Installed under-counter led lighting and recessed lighting throughout kitchen, dining room and living room. Hardwood floors were beautifully refinished along with the staircase and hand-railing. All rooms were completely repainted in the house and everything was covered and masked to protect.

+ 3 moreFrom the first point of contact when we first called in to get an estimate to when our bathroom project was completed we felt that we were in good hands. to me that is PRICELESS!! some of the other companies we met previously made us feel either that there was a catch or that there were details that were missing or not disclosed that will catch up with us later. After meeting Joe all of that went away and we immediately felt that we were in good hands. Joe certainly knows what he's talking about and guided my husband and I throughout the process. He took a tired looking master bath that we've been dying to demolish, understood our vision and then turned it into our masterpiece. He even let us take the sledge hammer and break the first wall and old cabinets...it was fun but I wouldn't recommend it for everyone. Joe was kind enough to go to the store with usto help us choose the right quality tile...there was some delay in getting some of the tile from the store so I would recommend to anyone reading this to order all of the material ahead of time so there are no delays in the installations. Luckily, the crew was able to work on other areas of the bathroom so we didn't lose time from our projected completion date. We installed a lighter color mosaic glass tile through out the shower and backsplash and contrasted it with a darker floor tile and cabinetry. We also added two light fixtures above our shower which was an excellent recommendation by Joe. I must commend the crew for containing the dirt and debris from spilling into other rooms in the house...dust and dirt was a concern to us because of our young children but they covered everything up really neatly. The end Result was FABULOUS!! we are getting WoWs from our friends and family and that makes us feel great with our decisions. Our overall experience with Truth Inc and Joe's Z7 Builders crew was A+++...we definitely recommend them.

+ 6 moreI LOVE MY BATHROOM!! Joe and his team are amazing! They kept everything clean all around, which made clean up super easy. My new bathroom now is so much more useful in terms of space use. Everyone who comes to visit loves the bathroom! The best part... Joe, my contractor, designed the bathroom layout!! Joe is knowledgeable, informative, and had SO much patience with me and my questions.. it was great. He is such a perfectionist that even little details were redone if they just didn't look right in his eyes. Who does that?!! most contractors don't even bother telling the customer that something is wrong! they just hope it will go unnoticed! He was even able to fix other things around the house that usually you would call a handy man to do. He is very skilled, precise, and generous. The greatest about it all, is that he has men working for him that have the same attitude as he does. No bad tempers. Patient, respectful and work fast. I found myself bringing them cold water on a hot day just to make sure they are ok. It was THAT wonderful and comfortable to have them around. I believe I forgot to mention that Joe WENT SHOPPING WITH ME!! It's not as if he needs to hold our hand as we try navigating through the long isles of cabinets, accessories and such, but sometimes, it gets so confusing and I just wasn't sure exactly what would look right or fit well. He knew Where to go to get the best prices or to not get taken by a salesperson.. He was there! Through everything! I would recommend z7builders over and over again to ANYONE, regardless of how big or small the job may be. Thank you Joe!
